"I have ordered twice from OpticsPlanet and both times have been disappointed. In both cases the item has shown as being available on-line and it both cases this turned out to be not true.
In today's world it would seem that if an item shows as available it would be available, period. Amazon does it, MidwayUSA does it, but it seems that whatever software OpticsPlanet is using cannot do it. In both cases, after ordering an item that showed available I received an email stating it was on backorder. In the first case it showed the item you system showed the item as being available for 3 days after I received the email. In this case it took well over a week to get the item, during this time it would show available at times. I called customer service and was told it would be shipping that Friday. Well it didn't. The second order went pretty much the same way.
Anyway, I have to say that OpticsPlanet has a great selection of merchandise, it just seems that their software is the weak link in my being a satisfied customer. Maybe it is the positive experience I have always had with Amazon and MidwayUSA that has set my expectations higher than they should be.
Bottom line is that in all likelihood that I will be purchasing from OpticsPlanet in the future, but will set my expectation for delivery a bit lower. They have good products and good prices, especially sale prices. Just wish that they could fix their software to show availability correctly."

"Optics Planet has become my go-to place for good prices, great selection, free shipping and plenty of discount codes. This isn't a review of the company overall or their products, but of their packaging for the shipment of optics. I recently ordered a scope that arrived in a box without much padding to cushion and protect the scope during shipment. There were two air bladders in the box and one of which was deflated. The scope's box inside the shipping box had some damage, but the scope appears to be ok... time will tell. This might sound like I'm being picky, but I think products like scopes should come with better packing for protection during shipment."

It only took about 5 or 6 days to get to my house. Very satisfied with the delivery time. Also satisfied with the packaging, not big and bulky and a waste of space.
