"OpticsPlanet.com is an excellent supply-house for shooting and outdoor gear. Selection is very good and the prices are reasonable (Amazon-competitive). In addition, there are very few other places where you have such a good selection of regulated or semi-regulated shooting gear available. In general, the shopping experience is good, with good options for payment at checkout, relatively economical shipping options, pretty-good shipment updates, and reasonably quick turn-around times (ask me again after I receive a back-ordered item).

The biggest issue with the website is the cumbersome and sometime inaccurate product descriptions. This is particularly an issue where there are multiple variants of a given product (e.g., color, firearm compatibility (I am looking at you, Glock magazines), and (sometimes) caliber). At that point, the product title may not match the actual purchase and will always require scrolling through an obfuscated sub-menu of product variants. This can become extremely confusing when purchasing the aforementioned Glock magazines and having to use SKUs to figure out which model to order was not ideal. Luckily, the sub-menu selections do rule the day and the proper products were received. However, there is a better way to do things."

If ordering from a restricted state like California, you can not predict what they will refuse to ship.
