"I have purchased several items from overstock.com. Unfortunately, the experience has been basically the same for every item. 150.00+ digital camera. stopped working within 2 months, no recourse to replace from overstock or manufacturer (Rokinon customer service is an answering machine) Before that, 200.00 + pressure washer that began spurting billowing blue smoke and quit after 2 hours of use. Same thing, no recourse for the buyer. This is the "Big Lots" of online retailers, buyer beware, it may look like a deal, but it's probably junk."
"I ordered a daybed cover set. I laid it on the bed to see if it looked ok in the room and it did not. I returned the item to overstock.com.
I got an email that they were refunding only half the amount due to hair on return.I called customer service and was told there were three pictures of one half inch long black hair listed as the reason for withholding. She was very sympathetic and reasonable. A few mintues later I got a call from overstock. I was told that items have to be unused and like new. So this time ONLY they would refund the entire amount. I feel is it very unreasonable to expect a pristine return when one has to lay out a bed covering to see if it looks right. Who knows what is floating around in my house that might settle on the spread. When it was being made I expect the conditions were not sterile and hair free. So though I am to get my money back I will never order from them again. This is an unreasonable return policy in my opinion. "
"I ordered a dress from them, and it turned out very nicely. It got here within a week. The only complaint I have is that the price wasn't really that good--I went to the manufacturer's online store and noticed that their prices were the same.
I have ordered a lot of things from them in the past, most notably anime DVD's. I noticed that a lot of the cases that I got from Overstock were damaged, even though the disc inside was just fine (which is most important). That's really the biggest problem I've had with them. "
"I placed this order 3 weeks before my sons birthday. After some time and no response other than it had been shipped, I checked my account. I found out that it was delivered to Vermont. I live in the Southeast US. Not even close. Less than 2 weeks now for it, and though they are sending a replacement, they would only do "Standard Shipping" which when combined with Processing means 6-13 business days. Very disappointed they would not bump up shipping, as this was their error."
"Don't buy from this company. I saw a wool rug I liked on their site. Before I ordered it I called customer service and asked them what it would cost to send the rug back from my area code if it didn't look like the photo on their site which happens often from what I understand. I was told it would be around 20 dollars. When the rug arrived it didn't look anything like the photo on their site as far as the main colors. I found out today that it would cost over 200 dollars to send it back for a $311.00 rug since they charge you for their original shipping as well as having to pay the return shipping. Don't believe anything that company tells you. I won't be buying anything else from them.

However, when you try to get a price match, they will deny the price match based on ____ (you fill in the blanks). Awful company to do business with."
"Overstock.com is a GREAT place to buy. They have low prices, AWESOME customer service, and fast delivery. I wish I would have tried them out sooner than I did. I have found some STEALS on their site. I have never been treated better by customer service representatives than when shopping here.
I had some coupon codes I made a mistake on and didn't enter them at time of checkout... I contacted their live chat and the representative was VERY helpful, friendly, and took care of the problem within 3 minutes. He said he would take care of it, and I would be credited for the coupon within 24 hours because the order hadn't even processed yet. I got an email within 10 minutes saying the order had gone through and he adjusted the price for me. Their service can't be beat. I would recommnend them to anyone."
"I order a Nokia 6263 cell phone from Overstock.com because of the good price. I was a little leery because I had no firsthand knowledge about the company and did not see any sort of tech support phone number. The phone arrived within their 10 day delivery time frame, but the bluetooth function was intermittent. I called customer support where the took my information and complaint. I received a call from a technically minded representative the next day. After asking a few simple questions he issued a RMA with free return shipping and said I could wait to return the defective phone until the replacement arrived. This is a company I will recommend and will return for future purchasing. Very few companies would go this extra mile for a first time customer. A great company IMO.

"Sent wrong item, out of item I was supposed to get. Have to return item. What a hassle, now I have to pack the item back up and find a UPS box and mail it back all because Overstock has the head up their you know what."
"I was interested in a sink that was out of stock. A week later Overstock emailed me that they had the sinks back in stock (showed 9 in stock). I ordered it (showed 5 in stock).
They charged my credit card the day after I ordered it. Figuring it went through and there were no problems because they charged my card I scheduled the granite counter templaters (they need the new sink and the old one removed) and then had the plumber come out and take off my counters and disconnect my sink.
THREE FULL days after ordering the sink, Overstock emails me and says- order has been cancelled and you have a $5 credit. Chatted with customer service and explained the situation and he said they could give me a $20 credit. Cust. Service said it was a "MISCOMMUNICATION" and they do not have the product--
Customer service SHOULD offer overnight shipping and a WAY better discount on a sink that they actually stock. I still haven't dared to tell my husband that the sink is not on its way. It would be one thing if they discovered a mistake the next day but when you order on Sunday and Wednesday night they notice they do not have what you ordered.
I feel that Overstock does not care! If this is such a rare (as they stated) occurance, Customer service should really be bending over backwards to make it right and find a solution. I am open to suggestions since I have no operating kitchen. In trying to save a little on a good deal on a sink that doesn't exist, it cost me 3-fold in inconvenience and plumbing and labor costs.
Be forwarned! Overstock management should follow up on this instead of ignoring it and letting it go. I ran a business for 25 years and would never treat customers like this, bad feelings spread very far and cost WAY more than a sink would. This is almost fraud--selling items that they don't have."
"Overstock.com- they do not offer refunds on much of the merchandise they sell, but they fail to make that CLEAR to the unsuspecting buyer until AFTER the purchase has been delivered. I had a LOT of trouble getting a refund from these people on a foam matterss that was very uncomfortable. They even sent me a return shipping tag and an RMA number, then after they signed for it, they started back at square zero. This item is not refundable (all this AFTER they agreed to a full refund). They eventually agreed to honor their commitment, but it was not a pleasant experience. I would prefer to do business with REPUTABLE people like Kohls who will refund ANYTHING that you are unhappy with. And Bed Bath and Beyond promises likewise but I haven't had anything to check them with yet. But I would avoid Overstock, because you are just setting yourself up for a hassle if you have any problems with your order."
"Bought the Logitech Pure-Fi Elite speakers, refurbished, from them on January 10th. The order shipped out on the 11th and arrived on the 13th! This was with their normal $2.95 shipping. Description claimed refurbished, but the product looked brand new and came with a full, two-year warranty. They also had the best price anywhere by $50. I'd gladly buy from them again!"
