"i just ordered something from performance-pcs.com hoping for a good experience since they had good reseller ratings. unfortunately my order did not go so well. I ordered a logitech g15 keyboard, funcpad archetype 1030, and mouse feet for my mx1000 mouse. I ordered on 12/26 and received the package on 01/03. As soon as i opened my front door and saw the package there i knew something wasn't quite right as the box was not shaped in a way where it could contain a keyboard.
I proceeded to open up the box and all that was in there was the funcpad, the mouse feet, and a lot of bubble wrap. I immediately called the number on the invoice and talked to someone there. They took my information and said they would look into. I had to run an errand and when i returned there was a message waiting for me.
It stated that the packaging guys had mis-read the invoice and thought the g15 was actually the g5 laser mouse and they had packed that instead of the keyboard. they would send me a return shipping label to send it back to them. The only problem with that was there was no g5 laser mouse in the box.
So i called them back to explain that i only received my mousepad and mouse feet and that there was nothing else in the box, no g5 mouse, no g15 keyboard. The person on the phone then proceeded to argue with me that the packing guys remembered putting it in there and he didn't know what to tell me. Well i of course didn't know what to tell them as there was no mouse in the box.
he then mentioned something about the weight of the package they had on record would match what the package would weigh with a mouse in it. so i volunteered to go weigh my package to try and prove to them that there was no mouse in there.
luckily we ship out DHL from my work so we had a shipping scale there, so i loaded everything i had received plus my digital camera and sent off to work to weigh the package for them. When i got to work i called them back and let them know the weight of everything was 3.75 lbs and the UPS label listed 4lbs, so that was all right. They then had me weigh everything separately giving them each weight. somehow they miscalculated the weight of the box+bubble wrap (1.6lbs) and the difference was the weight of the mouse....
finally after 1.5 hours of wasted time they "believed" me (i put that in quotes since i doubt they actually did believe me, and they declined to have me take a video of everything to send as more proof which i was prepared to do) and said they would ship out the missing keyboard to me. i asked them if they could at least ship it out overnight for me since not only did i not receive a product i had ordered but i was accused of being shipped something that i was not and trying to hide it and had to waste my gas to drive back to work to weigh everything to prove it to them. the best they could do for me was send it priority mail...
i received my g15 3 days later so all is well with the world now, and its a very sweet keyboard by the way.
all in all i will not be ordering from them again because of this, and here is my story for anyone else that might take it into consideration on whether to order from them or not.
UPDATE: I did get a call from a customer service person of this site and they apologized for the problems i had encountered and offered me a gift certificate to their store as compensation for the trouble i went though. So while i did have a bad experiences they at least tried to make up for it."
"After looking for a dealer for an Ultra X-Connect X2 550 Watt Power Supply (ULT31852) on the Ultra Products website I came across Performance-PCS.com. I clicked the link and found a nice looking site that was laid out in a logical manner and was easy to navigate and find the product I was looking for. Obviously, this was my first time shopping at Performance-PCS.com. I found exactly what I was looking for, the power supply mentioned earlier, and it was at a great price. I added it to my cart, then began looking around a bit and ended up adding some other things to my cart, like sleeving kits and led rocker switches, a fan controller, you get the idea. The prices were all very good and the shipping rates were too! Which is always nice. Anyways, I purchased the products in the late afternoon (4:20PM) and it was shipped the next day.
Everything arrived in perfect condition in a well-packed box. After going through it all, I realized that one of the sleeving kits I had ordered wasn't in a retail package but had been pieced together from individual items. They were from the same manufacturer and we're the right pieces though so no big deal. They even threw in some extra sleeving, quite a lot actually and a couple extra molex connectors. But, the main reason I had ordered this particular sleeving kit was for the two included molex removal tools, which were missing.
I gave Performance-PCS.com a call and explained the situation as well as thanked them for the extra sleeving and connectors they had thrown in. Without any hesitation their response was that they had run out of the retail packages so they had put it together from individual items and must have missed them (the molex tools). He continued that they should have been packed with the rest of the stuff in the kit and that they would ship them out that day.
Well they did, later in the day I received notification that they had been shipped. They too arrived in perfect condition.
So, my shopping experience at Performance-PCS.com was a very good one. They have a great selection of products, with great prices and great shipping rates (fast too). Oh yeah, their customer service is fantastic too! I highly recommend Performance-PCS.com"
"This is the first time that I have ever actually posted about my dealings with an online retailers, but this was necessary. I originally found this site by searching for parts for my dads new system, and I was AMAZED at how accessible and informative their website was about every single item! Numerous pictures, specs, etc...for everything.
I ordered 2x 12" Cold Cathodes, a fan grill and some thumb screws. The ordered was shipped promptly and I received it just 2 days later with ground shipping! However, once installed, 1 of the tubes would only light up on one half, the other half was dead I guess. Now normally I'd be upset with that, but upon contacting their RMA department, not only was their response fast, but EXTREMELY hospitable. They were very kind and understanding about my situation and there was no hesitation to replace my broken part.(They even wished me a happy new year!). Best of all, I decided to go with a 4" tube for the 2nd one and I also needed a 3-pin extension. So they instead shipped me those 2 items in place of the 12" tube without question.
I recommend this site to EVERYONE!"
"Ships very fast. Ordered three times this month and every single time the order processed *and* shipped on the very next business day.
There was one time however I ordered five 75cm SATA cables and I instead got four 75cm cables and one 100cm cable. I know this seems like a minor error but I specifically ordered expensive cables just to get ones that were 75cm long so I wasn't too happy about it. However after a quick email to customer support (for which I got a response within a few hours) I was offered an additional 75cm cable (shipped the very next day).
Overall I am very satisfied. Errors like this are not as much of a concern to me as how they are dealt with."

"After searching every retail and computer-show establishment within driving distance, I was unable to find suitable mating connectors to build my own set of special-purpose ATX extension cables. Performance-PCs had them, and at reasonable prices. I submitted my order late in the evening on Friday the 10th.
The parts shipped Monday the 13th, and arrived Wednesday the 15th. All the ATX parts were right, but the Molex connectors I ordered had shipped with the wrong gender of pins. I emailed sales@ immediately, and got a response back within the hour that the right pins would ship that afternoon.
It's now Friday the 17th as I write this, the mail just arrived, and I have the correct pins in-hand. Everyone makes occasional mistakes, and the mark of good service is fixing them quickly and with a minimum of fuss. I'm impressed."
"Terrible customer service. I received a dented bezel and the guys required me taking pictures of the item and trying to troubleshoot the problem, as if the broken item was MY FAULT. I expected more from this company, but it seems like it's just a bunch of stuck-up nerds that run the company. I'm going to order from Newegg.com from now on, their RMA policy is complete utter crap.
UPDATE: Apologies not updating this sooner, I actually got a replacement within a few days after talking it over with the RMA people through a few emails. Basically, there was a misunderstanding between what they wanted and what I understood of normal RMA procedure. I've changed my stance to neutral on this company."

"After dealing with many other online etailers, I read some reviews on cases with an eye for suppliers as well as the reviewed case. One name kept popping up regardless of the reviews and that was Performance PC's.
I sent them a couple of emails before purchase and they were responded to quickly and courteously. I placed an order for a Lian Li PC-V1000B Plus II with window on October 16th. It arrived a couple of hours ago on October 18th and after spending that time examining the packing and product, I can say without reservation that I have found a new home for my performance products!
Keep up the great work Hank! The superb reputation you and your business have has been well earned. I will not only order again but will recommend this company to anyone that is serious about their performance PC's!
UPDATE 10/26/2006: Made and received a second order of 10 small items (specialty fans, custom cables, etc.) and as usual, the packing and shipping was second to none.
Due to a supplier providing Hank with an incorrect/duplicate part number, an SATA I cable was sent instead of the desired SATA II. Contacted Hank and you guessed it - Imediate problem resolution.
People, it doesn't get better than this. If you need items that they carry or custom work done, you're wasting your time dealing with anyone else besides Hank and his crew!

"Wow im surprised! I was losing hope when after the second batch of fittings came and they still didnt fit. Then today after work i came in and to my surprise i see you sent another package. I saw the package thinking "great another fitting that wont fit", then i opened it and saw only 1 fitting. Right away i tried to put it on my waterblock and what do you know, it fit! The other fittings only had 3 threads and this one had 5 and when i jiggled it, nothing came lose.
I just want to say thank you! Before i purchased these things from your shop, i bought them at a Canadian etailer thinking i would save more on shipping. I waited 3 months with little response when finally after many emails they respond saying "were still out of stock, we have refunded your money". Then i get your package and the fittings were wrong and im thinking, great here we go again. The customer support you have shown, the almost instant responses, and the fact that you kept sending fittings without even asking for more pictures shows you value your customers and i respect that. And i ended up saving more money!
