"I searched all over the 'Net looking for a longer cable for my Koolance water cooling system. (Koolance only sells 3' lengths). They were just nowhere to be found.

I then went to a few places that make custom cables to see if they would make one for me. All said "no" - the cable was just too unusual and they didn't even have the heads for it.

I finally found a similar power extension cable at performance-pcs.com, and seeing their notice that "custom services are always available", I sent them an email to see if they could make it. This was after 5PM, too.

Within 20 minutes I got an email back from them saying they could make the cable, and quoted me a very good price, too - the same price for a stock power extension cable, (which will not work for the Koolance). I was floored - I was expecting I would have to pay dearly for this cable.

They did the smart thing and asked for a couple of pictures to make sure they had everything right, so I took a couple of digital pictures of the cable heads and emailed them.

The cable was made and shipped to me via two-day mail the very next day. I actually received it the day after.

The cable is very high quality: good solid wire, perfectly aligned heads, black mesh - it looks great on my gear.

I can't say enough positive about performance-pcs. In this day it is almost impossible to find service like this. They are permanently on my first-to-buy from list."

"I could not give Performance-PCs a high enough rating for their excellent customer service and professional workmanship. I am building my first PC and I needed to pick out a case. I found a huge assortment of quality cases along with easy to pick modifications on the Performance-PCs website. I read case reviews all over the internet and decided that James' recommendation was indeed the best case for my needs. He then called again and walked me through all the possible modifications and the order was placed. Three hours later I received an email letting me know my case was finished, providing me pictures of the finished product and that it was being sent out that same day. I was amazed.

My custom Lian Li arrived safe and sound and I could hardly believe my eyes when I opened the box. The case is absolutely beautiful, and the work James did on the case was top notch professional quality. The fact that he took the time to sleeve, mount and hide my Antec fan controls for me is just one example of how even the smallest of details were taken care of, which is representative of a real class act company. I can't thank Hank and James enough for helping me make my case so great. As a first time builder, it’s easy to get lost along the way, but not only did they take the time to help me chose a case for my needs and build, but their input and patience proved to be invaluable.

I wouldn't hesitate to give the highest recommendations for outstanding customer service and professional building to all my friends, and those looking for parts or custom builds on the PC enthusiast forums.

"Just ordered a hard to find (in stock) fan controller (sunbeam windmill) and some UV paint. Fan controller was a couple bucks more than some other online stores, but the service certainly makes up for it. I placed my order online at 11am PST and got an email saying it had *already been shipped* by 1pm PST. 2 hour shipping time! I have waited over THREE DAYS with several other online pc-mod stores before getting a shipping confirmation.

My limited email communications with performance PCs have been replied to very promply.

"Overall very happy with Performance-Pcs.I have made several purchases over the last two years.The only Problem I'm having is getting a response back after leaving them messages via "Contact Us" on their website,so I'm thinking they may be having problems with that.But I purchased a 12" red cold cathode tube kit with a 4" red cold cathode tube.Both these tubes were clear on the outside and a red core on the inside which puts off a very nice deep red glow.So I went ahead and purchased another 12" red cold cathode tube but this one was different,red-clear outer and a white core which did not have the deep red as the first two I received.I sent three messages through "Contact Us" over the past week and a half and never received a response.Can anyone verify if they are having trouble with receiving emails? I would really like to get some more of those red cold cathode tubes I received the first time.
