"I Purchased a Sager 3790 laptop from Powernotebooks.com in the week before Thanksgiving to arrive before the holiday so I could have it to use over the holiday weekend. I must say I was pleasantly suprised to see that it arrived on time and in good condition with no dead pixels.
My decision to purchase from them instead of Sager directly or one of the other vendors for Sager was due to the excellent service before the sale from Ron B. who discussed with me my plans for my PC and what I wanted it to do even though he knew I might not purchase from him since I specifically mentioned other venders. He stated that customer service was their top priority and referred me to this website. I also looked at the records for their competitors and found one of them to be similar in rating but did not offer 24hr telephone support.
I also purchased a USB 2.0 LanDock from them which did not work as advertised and shipped with the wrong AC adapter. When I called to bring this to their attention they made every effort to rectify the matter including next day shipping for the adapter and then an entirely new LanDock, which works fine BTW also shipped next day.
In conclusion this was a very satisfactory experience for me and the laptop the Sager 3790 ROCKS plays DOOM III like a bandit on the road and has every other option that I wanted including a great battery life (tweak the settings for maximum power conservation however) I had heard that the laptop had a issue with a hot palmrest on the left side and that is to some extent true but doesn't really bother me. I got the lower res screen WSXGA and have been very pleased with it although the text is small and would be smaller with the WUXGA screen."
