"I bought a PowerPro Elite from Powernotebooks.com in November of 2004. The purchasing process was easy and the prices are very reasonable. Shipping was very fast as well.
The only problem that i encountered was a bad stick of RAM (Corsair XMS) that was throwing my system off. I called the Support Line and was connected to a support Tech within a few moments. (Note: Lifetime 24/7 Tech support= BIG plus) After a few tests the bad stick was determined and a repalcement was immediately shipped out. I would have recieved it faster if it were not the fact that all of this happend durring the weekend.
After receiving the RAM, everything is working excellent. The Laptop includes a Centrino 2.0GHz that is smothered in Arctic Silver 5, a great idea that Powernoteboks.com offers for those of us that will run the heck out of our PC's (especially gamers!)
Also Powernotebooks.com incorporates follow-up emails to ensure that the customer is 100% satisfied with the purchase.
I highly recommend Powernotebooks.com to anybody who needs or wants a great laptop that comes with excellent customer service and support.

"Product quality: My laptop had a few minor issues before the warranty expired, but of course after warranty it started having serious problems. Within a year after warranty expiration it has gotten to the point where I can't even leave it on without supervision because of the possibility it will experience rapid battery loss and shut down, or simply crash. The suddenness of these problems suggests this is not normal wear and tear, but shoddy construction and components.
Technical Service: They make a point of trying to seem very convenient and easy to work with, but the fact is you have to mail your laptop in to them to even get it looked at. This is a hassle even under warranty, but God help you if you, like me, experience serious problems right after the warranty expires, because you'll have to shell out to even send it to them. They like to mention the convenience of next day shipping but that's not really a great option when it costs $100.
Customer service: They're very nice and pleasant to work with. Good for them. Too bad it doesn't make up for the massive inconvenience of a faulty laptop. Also, when you review them poorly, they call you up and try and guilt you into changing your review. Not appreciated.
Delivery: My initial order was out of stock, so I was promised a reasonable date I could expect it. I received it about three weeks after that date. Don't get me wrong, my customer service guy told me about the further delays, but...not very reliable there, guys.
In summary, I was not satisfied with either the product or the ease of service. I recommend one of the real brands that can provide adequate service, or at least a local store that you don't need to ship to for repairs.

I have had only great experiences with this company; from asking a hundred questions during the ordering process to looking for a replacement part I lost two years after my order. There are "REAL" people that will email you back within minutes or hours most of the time or who will actually answer the phone or promptly return your call. If you want to see for yourself, send them an email to ask about one of their computers. "I had a memorable experience with Ron Baird. I ordered a Sager 3790 notebook and am completely satisfied. He was very helpful in recommending a notebook and I did not feel pressured even though they sell their own line. I had to RMA my first order because I wanted to upgrade the specs and he made the process very easy for me. I ordered both notebooks on Monday and received both by Friday. Actually, I was not home on Thursday to sign for the first order. The manufacturer seemed to have missed shipping the second order so Ron upgraded the shipping to next day air at his expense. "I got a notebook with a bad pixel. According to Industry Standards this is "normal". I am however somewhat frustrated.
I asked my sales rep about getting it repaired... he gave me the default answer. I was not satisfied with that. I left a post on their web forum. I was then contacted by the owner of the company who tried to further explain the policies.
The problem I had was not in understanding the policies... it was with the policies themselves. The owner, Donald Stratton seems very interested in doing what he can to make sure I am satisfied with the product. "
