"I purchased the PowerPro M 5:6 from the company couple months ago. The notebook is great. It works flawlessly with all my applications (Adobe Photoshop, pagemaker, illustrator, Macromedia Flash, Dreamweaver, video editing, sound recording, etc) and plays all my games. I bring this laptop to work everyday and love it. I haven’t had the system crash on me once yet. I really like the fact that I was able to install my own OS (Win XP) w/o all the junk software in it. I think it really helps with the stability of the OS. You get to install the software YOU WANT. I haven’t had to call tech support as of yet as the laptop has been flawless. I ordered a 5690 Force with UXGA wide angle screen and 60GB 7200 RPM drive.

Ron Baird was very courteous and helpful. I told him exactly what I wanted and he did not try and pressure me into buying anything extra.

The laptop was shipped and delivered exactly as promised and on time. I've only had the system 2 days but it has performed flawlessly. I've configured many laptops over the years, but this one was one of the easiest I can remember. All the drivers installed without issue under XP Pro SP1a.

I've done some benchmarking in Sandra and the machine performs as well as I had hoped. I'm just waiting for Doom 3 to arrive so I can start stressing it a little, but so far it's handled everything I've thrown at it, including some pretty intense editing apps, without skipping a beat.

I read the reseller ratings for PowerNotebooks before deciding to make my purchase. I was a little suspicious of the comparatively low price, but I needn't have worried. There were no compromises in service.

"I have purchased 5 notebooks from this company over the last 5 years. I purchased a very expensive extended warranty with the last notebook I bought. I had some issues with the last notebook which required me to send it in for repairs. The notebook still had many issues when it came back. After many months and many e-mails trying to resolve the issues, I gave the notebook to a charity and purchased a Lenovo. In their defense, I have never had to wait on the phone more than 5 minutes to reach tech support and I have not had any problems with the other 4 notebooks I have purchased from them. "I received the laptop today, and because it shipped tuesday when they told me it would most likely ship friday or monday they bumped me up to one day shipping from UPS ground free of charge (nearly 70$ value).
