"Hello, i've been the proud owner of a 5680 for a month now. I bought this laptop mainly for 3D animation, Compositing and video editing for broadcast material for several clients, including Disney and Discovery Channel. So far this laptop has been awesome.

Donald was very helpful and corteous with all the questions i had and helped me to configure a very nice and powerful system for this kind of project. I received the laptop within 48 hours after placing the order, another shocking surprise, since so far i'd been dealing with Dell laptops which most people know take over 2 weeks to ship if customized.

When i received the pakage it was nicely double-boxed and it arrived just in time for a project that involved compositing and 3D animation, the perfect ocassion to try the 5680 out. After spending the weekend installing all the software i needed for the project i started working and was amazed at both the speed of renders and the response from the ATI 9600Pro. I have worked on 3 projects after that and so far the 5680 has shined through.

I have tried all kinds of software including sound editors, compositing, 3D graphics, games, and i just keep being amazed about the performance, specially since it's a laptop. I'm used to work on p4's and dual Xeons with the latest graphics cards from 3DLabs and ATI and so far the performance of the 5680 is outstanding.

The only problem so far i have is the machine runs way too hot, you can feel it on the keyboard, of course compared to the other laptops i'd used, but other than that i get flawless performance, no bsod or any of that so far. The other problem is battery time, but shouldn't be any surprise since this a desktop replacement.

I'd like to thank Donald and the team for the assistance and to congratulate them for really caring about the customers, it caught my attention how polite my order was taken care of. I'd just dealt with 2 other companies, Eurocom and Alienware to purchase from them, but decided to go with powernotebooks.com because first both the other companies couldn't deliver the systems in time because the ATI cards weren't available, and both were over 700 dollars over powernotebooks.com's price!!!!!!! That coupled with the great service i got from Donald really made me purchase from them.

Eveyone around the office is impressed with the 5680, and although i have only owned it for a couple of weeks, i'd recommend it to all my friends without hesitation.

"Donald has been great in answering all my questions leading up to my purchase. Initially I had an order placed for the NP8887 Force, then Donald informed me that the NP8890 was set for released soon and I got in on the preorder. The machine is a real wonder no hiccups or setup issues so far. Installed MS OFFICE XP in about 18 mins it took me 45 mins on my laptop at work. The NP8890 is a larger laptop in terms of physical dimensions and heavier than I expected However, its a total desktop replacement. This laptop has to be one of the best I've ever seen. It's got all the latest cutting edge technology, it's built well, and it's reasonably priced. I can't say anything bad about this computer.

I will say that it does put out a lot of heat, I'd think about getting a secondary cooling system since they're not that exspensive. Not that the cooling system that's built in is bad in any way. Just an added precaution. Also, I would think about a different Sager laptop if you'll be lugging it around on a daily basis. It is considered a desktop replacement.

Powernotebooks.com is an absolute pleasure to deal with. Donald Stratton, the sales rep I dealt with, is knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, and most importantly, trustworthy.
