I was searching for a good gaming laptop for at least 6-8 months and I came across Power Notebooks from a friend who was about to buy a laptop from them too. The best thing about these guys is the customer service. You won't find better customer service. The laptop I bought was a PowerPro R 12:17-670. It is absolutely amazing. The graphics, backlit keyboard, blu-ray player, interior sound system, 17.3" screen, very fast processor, and huge memory are just a few of the best things on this laptop. The only down side about this laptop is the track pad and battery life. The track pad isn't very good compared to other laptops but I use a mouse any ways so I don't have a problem with it. The battery life has a max of 5 hours but this is a gaming laptop with hardware that uses a lot of energy. All in all, Great laptop with an amazing company."

Prior to ordering from PowerNotebooks.com, I had initially ordered a similar product (clevo P190) from HIDevolution.com and waited about a month and a half after paying ~$2000 for the laptop already to finally get the manager on the phone to say that my laptop was ready to ship. This was after many calls and even talking to a few receptionists there who were supposed to just answer phones and not manage the business. After I the manager called me to give me a $50 compensation for the wait, I cancelled my order because I was worried about the lack of support in the future from such a crummy operation.

"I ordered a Sager NP9170 from PowerNotebooks on May 23rd. I chose PowerNotebooks because at the time, the website showed that the AMD 7970m was available. I was overly excited because many other sites had it back ordered. I got a nice phone call from customer service that very day saying that my order was fine and that my credit card had been charged. I got an email saying that it would take about 5-7 business days to make and another 5-7 business days to ship the laptop. My customer service rep also told me I would receive an email when they shipped my laptop.
10 business days rolled around and no email saying that they had shipped it. I was a little bit concerned, so I emailed my rep. He emailed back saying the AMD 7970m had been back ordered, but was in that day (the 8th I believe). I was a little bummed because I had to wait a little longer, but I was alright with it. He said the laptop should ship by the end of the next week. Well, it's the end of next week and I have received no email saying that my laptop has been shipped.
Waiting for the graphics card to come in was one thing; but after being told it would ship at a certain time and not shipping is another. I am quite dissatisfied with this reseller and most likely won't do business with them again.
Edit: Just found out that it is going to take another 2 weeks for my laptop to get here because their servers were down.
Edit: Basically what happened in my situation was that Donald was very upset that I wrote a bad review, so he cancelled my order. He emailed me on two occasions hinting that I should remove or better my review.
Also, I am an 18 year old guy who, yes, still uses his mother's credit card because, what 18 year old has a credit card? No one is going to pay 2100 dollars in cash and this is a graduation present. My mother doesn't like using the computer and let me deal with my own problem. Donald says I "complained" on the day that my laptop could have been shipped, but did it ship Donald? No, it didn't; so it doesn't really matter when I emailed you asking for an update on my order. Also, I didn't think it was illegal to ask about my order; that's what I thought you and any other customer service rep was there for.
Another thing; because I waited for much longer than I should have, to have my laptop even built, the 34 dollar rebate was a slap in the face. Just because the Sager servers were down, it wasn't my fault. This information wasn't communicated to me until after I wrote this review (how coincidental).
Donald speaks as though the screen upgrade was something that he gave to me for free or something exclusive to Powernotebooks.com. I paid extra for this upgrade (150$), so even mentioning the fact that they HAD to do this and that it was premium, is a waste of time.
What is really childish is that Donald canceled my order the night before it was going to be shipped. My concern was not with the laptop, like I told Donald, it was with the awful service and the excuses that he kept giving. Why would you cancel and order that makes you money? Did you even have my laptop? Is cancelling an order even legal in this situation?
These questions frequently arise in my head, but are yet to be answered because I doubt Donald will ever contact me again.
My advice, for anyone brave enough to buy from Donald, is to write your review after you get your laptop; or you will be threatened with emails saying that your order has been cancelled because of it. "

I was also notified of pushed back release dates which was really helpful because as anyone I was excited of my new laptop and wanted to know what was happening. I was advised of a different price of everything because of USPS not shipping Lithium Ion batteries which made the price higher which I was not happy with. Another company I was looking at never told me and just wanted my money, I am concerned that if I were to go with them then there would be extra costs involved because they failed to tell me about that.
I recieved my laptop today without any major cosmetic damage to the box and will be very likley to forward friends and family to them for any neds they may have.
