I was extremely pleased with the build and parts, and eagerly awaited for my new notebook to arrive. The shipping went smoothly and perfect, and Donald with PowerNotebooks kept me abreast during the entire process (when it was charged, the build process, when it was shipping). The laptop arrived in pristine condition and right on time, as per the stipulations prior to buying (I needed it soon). I've been using this laptop for almost a month now, and it has performed flawlessly. The experience and purchase with Donald and PowerNotebooks has met and exceeded my expectations. I play many games on my new laptop (Tera Online, Skyrim, LoL, Witcher 2, Rift, DDO, Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3 upcoming) and it has churned through all of them and been wonderful on high to ultra settings (depending on the game). I was ordering from outside the country and was looking to ship the notebook to an hotel while on a trip to the United States, so I called in to see if this was even possible. I spoke to Donald Stratton who explained the steps I had to follow for the purchasing process to go over smoothly. He customized the computer with me on the phone and validated that the price was as expected. One of the components was actually out of stock but Donald came up with a risk mitigation strategy in case the component did not arrive in time for the laptop to ship out.

After confirming the order, I wrote a couple of emails to Donald to validate the status of the build and to verify if the missing component had come in. He wrote back within 24h each time, and even sent me an email shortly after delivery to verify if I was satisfied with the equipment.

"I have to write and tell you how much I value and appreciate the support I received this evening regarding a problem I had with the Product Activation of the Windows O/S software on my new Asus laptop. The laptop came to me with an incorrect (but more expensive) version of the O/S installed (not the one I had ordered) yet the sticker on the bottom showed the product I had ordered and the related activation key. Because of the mix-up, the key would not work, thus preventing me from activating, upgrading, and possibly from even using the O/S !

Rather than make me back up all of my data, re-install the correct O/S and then re-install all of the programs and data - an unpleasant and daunting chore - Dean in Customer Support acknowledged their error & promptly emailed me a new product code - effectively upgrading my O/S without my having to spend the hours to re-install the one I had originally ordered. Any other support team would have insisted I do a total re-install. But not powernotebooks.com ! THANK-YOU !!!"

"When funding for the GT783 came through it was for a lower amount than what I expected, so I called Donald back to explain that I would need the GT780 series instead. Abe took my call and he showed me where I could change a few specs to where I could still get the GT783 model. I placed the order on Thursday and THEN on Monday received additional funding anyway, but the GT783 had already shipped!
Here's where it gets good - not only did Abe and Donald work to get the original unit shipped quickly, they also sent me an SSD separately AND helped me change out the SSD with the standard HD (a few words of encouragement went a LONG way)! Bottom-line is that 1) I received excellent guidance and product knowledge from both Abe and Donald, and Michelle was a real sweety as well, 2) I received EXACTLY what I wanted and needed for my photography company, 3) I was NOT charged for the extra and unneeded HD but rather they used the honor system for me to swap it out and return the HD to them, and 4) my final system configuration is the complete envy and selling point for my photographer buddies.
