"I recently graduated and landed a marketing and design gig in another city, so I was looking for a higher end laptop that could handle rendering and Adobe CS5 products like a champ without the dismal gaming and computational performance of comparably priced Macbooks.

After scouring the net, I ended up ordering an unbranded Sager laptop from Powernotebooks - the guy who walked me through the process, Donald, was very friendly and helpful. He's a rare breed of businessman - one who actually focuses on creating value for both parties rather than on making sales figures at all costs. Even helped me pick out a MUCH deal than the one I originally chose - something you'll NEVER see a Best Buy employee do. Or something anyone else does for that matter - this isn't the first high-end laptop I've purchased over the internet, and none of the stores I've bought from in the past gave even the slightest indication that they cared about my satisfaction in addition to their own bottom line.

Prices aren't very low, but that's to be expected - they sell custom high-end laptops, not cheapo Dells at the local Wal-Mart. They DEFINITELY do NOT try to nickel-and-dime you like some of the other places online. That's just damned remarkable and demonstrates their exemplary character.
