"This was my first experience purchasing a gaming laptop (Sager NP8130). I usually order through Dell but their offerings couldn't compete with the NP8130 either on specs or price. When it came time to choose a vendor, it was between XOTICPC or PowerNotebooks. Both have great reviews, but I went with PowerNotebooks because their price was slightly lower.

So far, I have been very pleased. I already had some upgrades in mind but their sales rep - Donald - helped me tweak the selection to take advantage of a promotion they were having. (I think it was 100 off any order over 1500 or something like that. My upgrades were pushing 1400 already so the extra upgrades were effectively free.)

The build time took longer than I hoped, but that's Sager's fault. Once the laptop shipped from Sager, I was kept appraised of the shipping progress.

When I missed the delivery, I reported it to Nita - their shipping coordinator - who was able to arrange pickup at the local UPS hub later that evening.

My experience with Donald and Nita were supurb. The laptop itself has performed flawlessly so far so I can't speak to their technical service. However, regarding the purchasing process it's been a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend them! "

"I was looking for a computer with good performance both for work (running very fast Matlab, Mathematica), games (TES, ...) and with reasonable mobility (laptop max 16"). Some days before the estimated shipping date I received an e-mail from Donald saying that MSI upgraded the shell for PowerPro R 11:36 (that basically has a better graphic card compared to the older version) and that the shipment of the processor intel i7-2760QM was not on schedule, but that I was keeping the same price for the new configuration. For me this was overall a good news because I was not in haste to get the new pc, and I was getting a better graphic card, but keeping the same price that I had already paid.

If in your case instead time is critical, I suggest just to point it out from the very beginning with Donald and the Power Notebooks team, I believe that they will do what is possible in order to satisfy your needs.

After that, everything went smooth and the laptop was delivered on the "new" schedule.

I am using it for ten days now, and I never had a problem with it so far. I have to say that I am really impressed with ... everything in it: SSD drive is FAST, 16 GB of RAM allows to load huge matrices in Matlab saving me a lot of time, cpu is excellent for being in a laptop, and I love the matte screen I have chosen. Oblivion runs smoothly at 1920x1080 at max detail (ok.. it is an old game, but I will try something new for Christmas ;) )

After the delivery I received an e-mail from Donald asking if everything was right and remembering me, that for any kind of problem I can contact the customer service anytime. Of course I hope that I will never need it, but... in case I know that they are going to help me.

Bottom-line:
I would recommend to buy from Power Notebooks, because they really care about customer satisfaction and they sell high-end technology at good prices together with great customer care services."
