"I was planning a trip to Alaska, and I didn't want to haul my desktop with me. So I needed a laptop. I started my search at the basic places Mwave.com, Tigerdirect.com, and newegg.com. All had good laptops but I was looking for a laptop around the $1500 dollar range with a good video card, processor, and RAM. At these places you got a video card but not so good RAM etc. So then while browsing the web I stumbed into Notebookreview.com (great site for notebook research) who then pointed me to Powernotebooks. I checked out powernotebooks website and they had top quality products: x1600, Go 7600 video cards, 1 gig to 2 gig dual channel RAM, and Duo Core CPUs all for my price range of $1500. So I sent an e-mail to powernotebooks.com asking some questions where a very helpful service man answered my questions that very night. I sent a few more e-mails to powernotebooks each with a quick responce. Finaly I placed my order by telephone (can do it online also). I got an order confromation back within a hour via e-mail. The only problem that I found with Powernotebooks is speed on which a product is shiped. Selling high end products stock goes in out very fast so my wireless card wasn't in when I ordered so I had to wait a week for that to come in. overall top quality service, quality parts, quality shipping. I called Powernotebooks.com to purchase a laptop for my wife and to know the "special promotions" they have when u call them. I talked to Donald Stratton, who I then did not know was the owner of the company. He was polite and not pushy to make a sale. Call only lasted 7 minutes and I already know I made the right decision choosing them.

I ordered at July 3 and my wife received it at the 19th. Laptop worked fine and she is very pleased with it. Email updates helped me put my mind at ease at my $1800 investment. They even emailed me if I like the notebook after it was received! Talk about caring about your customers.
