"My phone got damaged and when I called Protectcell they were very helpful. I had a new phone quicker than I could have gone to the store and bought one. Thank you for putting me back in business so quickly. "
"DO NOT BUY! I do not recommend using this protection service at all. I was sold this service at a Verizon Retailer and told that if I needed to get a replacement phone it would only cost $50. Sure enough I needed to get my first ever replacement phone and they tried charging me $100. I told them about the $50 price I was quoted and they said usually it was $150 but they were “giving me a deal” since it was my first replacement. I unhappily paid the $100 and was told I was going to receive a new phone, battery, sim card, and SD card. When I received the phone, it literally was a phone in an envelope and there was only a battery and sim card included, no SD card. I think it is pathetic that I essentially paid $300 for a new phone and got a used phone instead. On top of that the battery cannot hold a charge even half a day, so I had to spend an extra $50 on a brand new battery. And finally the phone’s wifi does not work at all. It logs on but anytime I try to go on a website or use an app it just fails and says there is no connection. Of course my laptop and computer are able to use the wifi so obviously it is just my new, used phone that is not working properly. I am going to post this anywhere I can and warn all my friends on every social media site I have not to be duped into buying this shoddy service."
"DO NOT BUY PROTECT CELL PLAN!! THEIR PARTNERS EMPLOY DECEPTIVE SALES TACTICS AND PROTECT CELL ASSESSES AN $150 ADMIN FEE (3/4 THE COST OF ORIGINAL PLAN) FOR "LIKE NEW" PHONES. I purchased a $200 protect cell coverage plan for my iphone 5 from a Go Verizon Wireless store. First and foremost, the salesman made it seem as if it was a Verizon service agreement, never once mentioning a 3rd party company. And, he said that if I needed a new phone within the next 2 years, they'd simply send me a new one at no charge. Further, if I didn't use the plan, I'd have the $200 credited toward a new phone at the end of the 2 years. Sounds too good to be true, right? THAT'S BECAUSE IT IS! What the salesperson failed to tell me was that there is a $150 "administrative" fee (THREE FOURTHS of the plan cost!) to get a "like new" phone, not a new one. While I'm sure these details are hidden in fine print somewhere, this was never communicated to me by the Verizon salesperson who sold me the plan. It was an extremely deceptive sales tactic. I've been officially duped by both Go Verizon Wireless and Protect Cell, which obviously continues to allow this deceptive practice to take place. I'm furious, but have not choice. Just use the Verizon plan....$10 a month, no "fees" and you get like new phone."
"Protectcell was fairly costly considering I had to pay $125 on top of the purchase price to get my replacement phone. BUT it was cheaper than if I had to buy a whole new phone when my daughter's phone was broken. Overall-- they helped me when I needed them. I hope my other daughter won't need her phone replaced so we can get money back."
"I filed a claim on a lost cell phone for a replacement of my Droid Incrdible by HTC. The phone in process went quickly and the rep was friendly and professional. The replacement unit arrived promptly but it came with just a piece of bubble wrap taped around the unit. It turned out to be defective and couldn't read the SIM card included or a test SIM card at the Verizon store. This was frustrating because it took an hour and a half of my time during business hours to discover this and report it back to Protectcell.com. I am now waiting for a 2nd replacement. Don't you people test your replacement units? Also, shouldn't the unit have been properly packaged in a retail box with a user guide?"
"The protectcell guys really got my device to me quickly. They helped me get back and running with my new device."
"Excellent service and plan. I took advantage of the device buyback within 12 months of purchase and received a check to cover the cost for an upgrade. Then I needed a replacement phone for my damaged one and received the phone FEDEX within two days. The representatives on the phone were very helpful. I would buy this warranty plan again."
"I paid way too much for a "certified like new phone" and waited way too long for them to send a phone that actually worked! I'm completely dissatisfied with protect cell and the store that offered such a crap insurance plan. I will never deal with authorized phone dealers or third party phone insurance again."
"The Quality of service what good, and so were the two people I spoke with on the phone. BUT, It is VERY expensive! When I signed up for protect cell I paid upfront in full to get the discount. At that time I was told there would be an $80.00 deductible, come to find out it is $125.00. When I asked about the cost they said that it was Verizon's fault for telling me the wrong price. When it comes to customer service You better make sure the people selling your product have the correct prices! Also if there is a wrong price given, I believe, it should be honored by the company that didn't uphold their obligation of training the sales staff!"
"Not very impressed with Protectcell. I purchased the insurance when I bought my last iphone from Verizon. First, I had no idea that I would be getting a refurbished phone, nor that I would have to pay $200 for this refurbished phone in addition to the $200 I paid originally for the insurance plan. When I first called Verizon, they said they had never heard of Protectcell and the rep had to call the store that sold it to me to get confirmation or any record of the insurance.
I ordered the phone on Monday afternoon and didn't receive it until Thursday afternoon. The phone arrived in a box with a white paper envelope and only the phone itself and a separate sim card. I then had to spend about 30 minutes on the phone with Verizon trying to figure out how to open the phone to insert the sim card (ended up using my earring to get it open).
The phone works fine but I've noticed the battery does not last nearly as long as my old phone and the phone itself is much slower. The whole thing just seemed very sketchy, especially considering that Verizon (who sold it to me) wasn't familiar with the company and was surprised by the packaging I described and that the phone ID was mislabeled as the serial number.
I'm pretty easy going and don't really care but would certainly never recommend Protectcell to anyone.

"We have assistance from Verizon to call protect cell and they quickly got a hold of a protect cell representative got an order him and it was shipped to us about four days later. Protect cell gave us all the various information was professional and their process. When we receive the phone we are able to activate it quickly and send off the damage phone in an efficient manner. The phone itself seems to work well even though it seems like it's a little more difficult hear people on the other end of the line. Other than that we been happy with the service provided by protect cell."
"My claim for a replacement phone was completed quickly and easily. New phone is in good working order. Overall, I am satisfied with the Protectcell product / process."
"JUST POSTED A LIKE ON FACEBOOK ONLY BECAUSE THERE IS NO LOVE BUTTON. I'VE HAD TO USE MY PROTECTCELL TWICE IN THE LAST 18 MONTHS AND COULD NOT EVEN BELIEVE THAT IT WAS SO EASY TO GET THE HELP I NEEDED. MY TEEN CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT PHONE AND YET IS SO CARELESS WITH HERS AND WHERE WE LIVE OUR SERVICE IS INTERRUPTED IF YOU TRY TO USE AN OTTERBOX. BUT I WILL NEVER LEAVE PROTECTCELL FOR ANY OTHER PLAN. THE INSURANCE WAS HASSEL FREE BOTH TIMES.....AND YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD GIVE ME GRIEF OVER THE SECOND TIME IN 18 MONTHS. WELL WORTH THE MONEY. IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT GO GET IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXPECIALLY IF YOU OWN A TEENAGER...LOL

"Pretectcell got back to me quickly and got the process going quickly....but fedex did not deliver within two business days -it took three. Which was not the end of the world...but when it came the phone definatly showed signs of use.....? I guess I was under the impression I was receiving a "new" phone. Not one someone else most likely had problems with. Not sure if this plan was worth my money or not....I will have to see how my "new" phone performs....."
"Protectcell was quick and easy in terms of turnaround time - I got my phone pretty quickly after filing my request (broken screen). BUT... here is why I gave them a 1-star, which will change only after the issue is resolved: the refurbished phone they sent me is terribly made. It had served me well for a few weeks, but 2 days ago it just stopped working for absolutely no reason while sitting on a desk. It wouldn't turn on at all, and when I plugged it into the wall, the Apple symbol just kept flashing every 5 seconds. I took it to Apple and they checked out all the tech back-end stuff; lo and behold, the phone is crap. It was poorly refurbished in a way that is so careless and incompatible with Apple that Apple couldn't do anything for me at all. They were shocked when they saw that the back of the iPhone was missing its ID information (the tiny little font), and kept insinuating that "the company responsible for this must be kind of sketchy...". Apple also said the inner parts were "glued together" in an unsuitable fashion and that some of the parts were crooked, slanted, or otherwise messed up. Now I am left phoneless and must wait until Monday to contact Protectcell. If they take care of this ASAP, my review will change. For now, Protectcell has quit a bit of explaining to do..."
