"When I purchased this two years ago when I purchased my phone, I never dreamed of what a farse this would turn out to be. I triple checked my original paperwork that I received when I purchased Protect Cell. There was no mention of a $70 administrative fee that I had to pay when I called last week to get my broken phone replaced. So the $119 (plus tax) I originally paid, now had $70 added to it. I waited for over a week for my replacement phone (a week without a phone). When I recieved my phone I discovered it was refurbished, not even a new phone. And the greatest part is the phone doesn't work so I still do not have a phone. I will never purchase this again nor do I recommend anyone in their right mind to purchase Protect Cell. "
"I dropped my iPhone 5 and the screen broke. I had waited a while to replace it as it was still functional and the cost of the admin fee was a little more than I was willing to part with at first. The screen eventually became nonfunctional and I got a replacement. I am very pleased with the response from the ProtectCell team and how fast they were able to replace my phone. I don't know why I just didn't do it right away. My new phone was the exact model of my original phone not a refurbished unit like apple sent my wife with her phone having problems under warranty.
I am very pleased with the service despite the out of pocket cost I'm in so far. It is however much less than I would be in otherwise."
"I was able to receive a replacement phone relatively quickly and easily through the mail from Protectcell. The only problem I ran into was getting different steps and information from the Verizon Wireless who sold me the coverage then what I was told when I called the Pretectcell number to receive a new phone, working to make sure the same information is received at from both the provider and the insurance company is the same would save customers some confusion and frustration. "

"Great service. My phone cracked unexpectedly on a thursday night and I was leaving on a trip early monday morning so my only chance for getting it was on Saturday. I called them on friday and they overnighted the replacement phone for me and I received it on Saturday!"
"My experience with protectcell has not been favorable. While I understand they tell you that you are not guaranteed the color of the model of your cell phone it is extremely disappointing after all of the money I am paying them that instead of my white iphone I received a black one. While the turn around was quick I was not at my home when fedex delivered the package and then had to wait an additional three days to receive my replacement phone. I would have liked to have the option to opt out of signing for my package when I placed the order for my replacement phone. This has also been my second phone that I have needed to replace and they charged me an additional $50 on my original deductible. In the past when I used Asurion it was a set fee that did not go up when another phone was lost/broken. Overall, I have not enjoyed my experience with protectcell and I do not intend to renew this insurance in the future."
