"Happy with process and results (Two computers)"
"Absolutely the best experience buying a new system I have ever had! Puget Systems is friendly, customer oriented, detail crazy and has one of the best web sites I have visited and I am saying that as a retired webmaster!
Excellent shipping and easy tracking!"
"Unbelievable customer support, the person i contacted (Jeff) was really nice, he helped me pick parts to upgrade what i wanted my computer to do. I'm a gamer and he understood my wants and even suggested parts that were better than what i had picked and even cheaper. I emailed multiple times and ALWAYS got a fast, friendly response. I had a friend tell me about these guys and he said they were a bit "pricey" but with the quality you get, and the fact that you have 1 person in charge of your computer and not multiple, and the amazing support, I would say its not pricey at all. These days piece of mind goes a long way. The only problem i had was assembling everything, that's not their fault that's mine, i got confused, a lot more wires and plugs than i'm used to.
Shipping was fast, they contacted me every step of the way, I'm truly blown away at how great this system works, its better than i had hoped for! If your looking for a great company and great people, this is the people to go to!"
"Just wanted to pop in here and say that I had a terrific experience with Puget. I drove down from Seattle to visit their assembly area, had a chat with the sales guy I'd talked to on the phone, and was able to make a few key changes to the system we'd chatted about once I actually saw the case we'd been discussing.
The rest of the reviews here have all the details about their communication and quality, so I'll let you read all that. Really great company, highly recommended."
"I purchased my computer in Jan, 2010. It was custom made to accommodate large file work and my artwork. Everything looks great when you open the box and see a new product filled with all your expectations. I waited to write this review until I have had some real experience with the computer and the company. I have now had this computer for over a year. I can tell you that I still have a great computer. I use it every day. I have had minor tech issues over the year. My questions have been answered by highly skilled people who built the computer. No monkey business. No excuses or run around. They know my computer and are pleasant to deal with.
The only drawback I have found is that they are open regular business hours. So you may have to wait to get a response until the next day. But considering the quality skill set of the person you are talking to and that they thoroughly know the machine it is worth it.
If you are looking for a computer with custom performance I highly recommend Puget Computers. "
"One of the best custom PC builder websites for detailed preview of component selections while configuring a system. Instant response from Live chat website also very helpful. Telephone support during purchase was excellent. Website provides status of order with step-by-step updates. Puget Custom Computer delivered a nearly "silent" workstation system that is running flawlessly for 6 months."
"- this is a custom air-cooled build to provide me a quiet PC
with enough power to run anything out there in full 1080P
- great customer service
-- always responded to email within one day
-- twice called in and got 'live' person immediately
- fair pricing for the services provided
- high quality build; check the site - they do not pull punches about what hardware they prefer
- honest review of proposed builds; willing to spend time to explain any suggested changes
- well packed for the shipment to the East Coast
- very clean software build - just Windows & and nothing else (as requested)
21 Novemeber 2011 - An update... I had a little problem with the video card a month or so past (fan was noisy), and after contacting tech support, removed/cleaned/reinstalled the card. It was better (quiet) for a while, then the noise returned. Contacted tech support again; Puget initiated their RMA process and sent me a new card, no questions asked.
Service *after* the sale is the real hallmark of a class organization. Thanks for the great support!!"
"Puget is a great company. I've bought 2 systems from them, and both have been great for me. I bought my first system from them over 4 years ago, and I've never really considered buying from anyone else since then.
Great design for quiet PCs, gret attention to detail, very fast build process, very patient with delays (I originally provided specs for my system 4 months ago, and they kept it up to date while I worked out the kinks on my end, saving me money in the process at several stages!)
Puget has helped me several times with service issues on my end, and each time they have been supremely helpful.
It's true they are not the cheapest company providing PCs out there. But for VALUE, I wouldn't go anywhere else."
"Where to begin.... At five years my old computer, while fairly well equipped, was beginning to show its age. What I really wanted was a unit built specifically to address my needs in dealing with some rather large projects in Photoshop CS5, LR3, and Premier, as well as some fairly intensive HDR and Panorama applications...
Over the last 25 years I have dealt with the "big" computer manufacturers, foreign (or virtually non-existent) Customer Service, seemingly endless phone waits, representatives that seemed genuinely offended that I didn't hold a Masters Degree in Computer Sciences, and with units that were stamped out like so many cookies. I also tried a "custom" business on the East Coast... Unfortunately, in the five years since I dealt with them their reputation for reliability in general and customer service in particular has really taken a hit. Make one myself?... An invitation to disaster!... Good at using them, yes... building them, not so much!
In my search (and an attempt to catch up with today's technology) I began to see a good deal of input on a business called Puget Systems. . The more I looked and read... the more I liked what I saw. Their web site was extremely professional, well laid out, and very informative. No glitz and flashing signs or "fluff over substance". The ratings for Puget Systems were/are fantastic... With over a thousand direct customer reviews in one source I couldn't find one that was other than "five stars". A common thread in every personal account was the " outstanding customer service and the build philosophy of the company"..
My original e-mail inquiry was answered the same day by William George. Thus began a two week correspondence between the two of us relative to my needs. William was incredibly well versed on the various options open to me and even made suggestions relative to my build that ended up giving me better performance, less "overkill", and a cost saving. While he was obviously knowledgeable enough to "bury me in technicalities" William addressed my needs and explained his reasoning in a manner that was easily understood by someone beginning to suffer far more "senior moments" than I would like to admit. There was no "sales pitch", no rushing, no pressure to buy, and no question was ever regarded as to small to address.Patience, professionalism, and knowledge... a powerful combination!
Equally impressive was the content of the Puget System web site. In looking at the various models it was refreshing to be able to click on a component and have a window come up with comments from the staff on exactly why that unit/part was selected/recommended, its reliability, and their experience with it.
This build was definitely NOT a "mix and match" affair. All the components are top flight and have proven to "play nice" with each other. I came away from my discussions and research with the feeling that I was getting a well though out, compatible, and extremely powerful system built by a company that was willing to back up its reliability.
The ordering process was painless and it was enjoyable to be able to follow the fabrication and testing of my own unit on-line... Again, the result of a great site and obvious company pride. The build started on Friday and the final product was ready the following Tuesday!
I elected to travel the 100 miles from my home to take delivery directly from Puget Systems... On arrival, William was there to meet me and I had a chance to meet other staff members as well. The computer was hooked up and running. I was shown that all the special configurations of discs, partitions, and OS installation had been done as we had discussed. The interior of the unit showed that a great deal of attention to detail and pride had gone into the assembly.
I was also supplied with complete Benchmark and testing results, the unit is pre-set for expansion of drives and the like... all the necessary parts and cables are included.
When I arrived home and began the dreaded transfer of data, photos, and installation of applications I found that it was actually fun (?) . When I got Photoshop CS5 and LightRoom 3 installed I couldn't resist doing some "tests"... All I can say is "WOW!". I had timed some photo processing actions on one fairly large file with my old unit... 18 sec. Same action on the new unit...3 sec! Let's just say "It is fast".
I couldn't be happier with Puget Systems, their staff, and their product. I will buy there again and will recommend them to anyone considering a step-up in quality, performance, and service. Maybe not the largest company in the U.S. but certainly among the very best!

"I recently ordered an Obsidian (stock) desktop from Puget and have been very satisfied (or even thrilled) thus far. I did a few weeks of research before choosing Puget. The reviews on ResellerRatings were a great help so I decided to add one as well. I will break this into a few parts.
1. Puget Systems
The Puget website is great, I love it. Whether you want a stock PC or a custom build it's very informative. Each component has helpful info about its purpose and then going further if you check any of the multiple parts that could be used for that component they have these short opinions by 1-3 staff members. None of these involved any upsell and would often tell you if a particular part or optional component would be unnecessary. This was easily one of my favorite functions of their website and was largely lacking from other vendors. After placing my order it only took Puget about 4 business days to build and test the computer. You can track this entire process through delivery on the website.
2. Delivery
The PC itself was repacked inside of the box from the tower manufacturer (Antec mini p180). That box was then packed in a larger sturdy box with hard-foam corner packing pieces that suspend it inside the box. I knew to expect this from the website but was still happy to see it on arrival as this is the most expensive item I've ever ordered by mail before. What I did not expect was another small box inside that contained all of the PC component manuals/paperwork. They also included all of the spare parts and cables that were unused for this particular build. Wow. I don't know when or if I will need them, but it's great knowing I won't have to find and pay for such items at a later date should they be needed. Also unexpected, they included a 3-ring binder that contained: the invoice, Windows 7 install disc, a restore disc, component install software, optional copy of Office 2010 and a printout of how the PC performed on their in-house testing prior to shipping.
3. Obsidian
The computer runs rather cool by comparison to the PC it has replaced which is great because it sits about 2 feet away from myself at the desk. It is also quiet. I have to eliminate all other ambient noise in the room before I can hear the case fans. Ripping and burning discs has not been noisy at all either. Also greatly welcomed was the lack of pre-installed bloatware.
4. Final Thoughts
I believe that , largely, you get what you pay for. This PC definitely came at a premium price. I could have purchased a similar build for cheaper elsewhere. However, Puget does seem to use better quality parts. Beyond parts, the website and final delivery pleased me as well. I've not had any need to contact them for support, but I feel that would be a relatively painless ordeal based off everything else so far. I will definitely be doing future business with Puget as well as recommending them to anybody I can.
Good work guys and cheers from Tucson, AZ!

"This was my third business purchase of a video editing workstation from Puget in 5 years. Their product is top notch, their customer service goes above and beyond to determine what is needed and what will be most cost-effective for their customers and the experience in general has always been a pleasure. "
"Super-fast computer, excellent advise on stable components and best configuration. And it's pretty much silent!!! I love it, thank you so much."
"Anyone planning to buy or build a custom computer soon should seriously consider Puget Custom Computers. When you check out their awesome site for the first time, you won't be able to stop browsing. Take plenty of time to explore, and after you configure your dream computer, be wise and let one of the sales reps review it for you; even if you've built systems yourself previously, they more than likely will be able to save you some money and offer some helpful tweaks.I was able to buy one of their newer powerful entry level workstation computers with a Xeon processor for much less than I thought. The staff at Puget are friendly, knowledgeable people and the order process goes smoothly (or at least it did for me!) and I received my computer quickly, along with all the support materials and had it up and running in an hour or so. While I couldn't wait for it to arrive, I enjoyed being able to check in on the building and testing process. I would highly recommend Puget Custom Computers."
"I discovered Puget Custom Computers when I was searching for a specific manufacturer's part to complete my own custom computer build. Puget offered exactly the item I was looking for and their well-designed website provided the detail to assure me that I would get that specific item. The item was shipped quickly and overall I was very pleased with my purchase experience. I found their pricing (including shipping) was more than competitive when compared to other vendors even for this relatively small ticket item."
"a dedicated team! my purchase included a short tour of the production floor (picked up item in person) and i was very impressed! these are a well equipped, well organized, and skilled group of enthusiasts."
