"I've been using raise.com for few years, no problem until a week ago. I bought an egift card for Lord&Taylor for a little over $130. It didn't work when I tried to use online, so I called the store and tried to use that egift card, they said they can check the balance but the gift card was blocked by the store, that's why I couldn't use it and nothing they can do about it. (I guess somebody stole the gift card and sold it on Raise. Again, that's just my guess) I then called Raise, they said they would get back to me in 5days. Well, a week later, nothing. I called them again and spent about an hour on the phone, same result, they're going email me back in 5days!!! That's GREAT!!!!!!I asked them gor refund, they recommended to resell the card on their website. Unbeliveable!! I emailed yhem back asking if they're sure they want me to sell this card that cannot be used to their customer. Of course, I heard nothing back from them."
"I was a frequent customer but have had so many vouchers or egifts with no money on them after purchasing that I have reduced my buying to very little. I would give 5 stars to the physical gift card buying experience. Never have had a problem with one of them. I do like that they have improved the customer service with the option to have them call you back instead of being on hold for 15-45 minutes. Many times I've been 20th or 30th in line on hold. I have went to use many egifts or e vouchers lately to find they have been already used or cancelled by vendor. Yes they do refund your money but you have to wait for 2-3 days & you are out the savings when you make your purchase since you can't use your gift card you bought at a discount. Very frustrating. I used to love buying from here but too many bad cards lately & the time it takes dealing with it. I also had my account hacked & several cards purchased fraudulently. Now my account is suspended while they resolve it so I can't use the cards I have bought not related to the disputed charges. So my money is tied up & unusuable. Hoping it gets resolved very soon. I used to be a huge fan & user. I have never had issues receiving cards quickly. They do an excellent job there. Many of employees are very nice and helpful but a few act like it's your fault when you buy a card with zero balance and they say it's a risk you take shopping with them. Which they are good about refunding money -just time it takes to deal with all of it is disappointing when it's not my fault. They need to figure out a way to stop the fraud cards. "
"I have been an enthusiastically recommending Raise user for the past year. I have saved over $7000 with them. Does this tell you how many gift cards I have bought?
Their customer service was excellent. If you called them someone was there to pick up the phone and solve the problems. If you emailed them, they were prompt to return your email and solve the problem. They were courteous and efficient. I had a great deal of confidence in their reliability...till the past two months. There must be some big change going on.
PHONE CALLS ARE NOT PICKED UP ANYMORE!!!!
EMAILS DO NOT GET RETURNED FOR CLOSE TO A WEEK ON TOPIC REGARDING GIFT CARDS WHICH WERE ISSUED BUT HAS NO MONEY IN THEM!!!
I do not have confidence in their service.
I really do not understand how some recent reviews laud their prompt service. I have called on many many different times, close to 20 times in the past two months. They put me on hold for ever and ever. I was never able to get through. I am really sorry to see them drop their service like this.
I SURE HOPE THE MANAGEMENT TURNS AROUND!!!! I decided to go else where."
"I love Raise! Very rarely do I make a purchase without using a gift card from raise. I love the extra 5% deals and purchase quite frequently. I have told several of my friends and family and know they purchase here also. Keep up the good deals!!!"
"I had order Starbucks Gift Cards from raise.com several time but this last purchase was unacceptable for one simple reason:
They allow the posting/selling of Canadian Starbucks Gift Cards under U.S. currency WITHOUT currency exchange rate adjustment. It was not clearly display that these were not US base cards and one would not find out until they are used.
Even though you can use Canadian Starbucks Gift in the US they are adjusted with currency exchange rate which would mean it is worth less. From the exchange rate for that day these cards are worth 25% less. Therefore not only you don't get any savings but you also would pay more (for Canadians or US residents as they are posted under US currency).
I contacted raise.com about this and requested they clearly indicate that these are not US base gift cards due to the exchange rate. This has not been done and their response was they are working on a site for this. I did not expect any refunds due to their polices but ethically speaking, they should have remove these non-US base card to prevent their customer's from being ripped off.
And salt in the wound, they offered me $5 off my next purchase of $50 for this inconvenience.
To all current and future raise.com customers, Please proceed with cautions.

"Love Raise.com! Have bought several cards from them without any real issue. Had a slight hiccup with a referral credit, but this slight problem was addressed quickly and rectified. Would definitely recommend!"
"I use www.raise.com very frequently. Love the inventory of gift cards available at discounted prices, an amazing user experience on both, raise website and iphone app, and on the top of that an exemplary customer service.
I purchased few Macys gift cards from raise.com and ran into issues. Called Macys' customer service who was unwilling to let me check the balance on the cards or to use the cards.
Reached out to Dahlia, a customer service representative from Raise.com. She went extra mile in helping me with my Macys gift card issues. She validated each of Macys cards and gladly refunded amount where there were issues.
Thank you. Appreciate your help."
"This app saved me money on buying a gift card.. but I am very dissatisfied that it is not a real gift card and it was not clear to me when I purchased it. And no refunds. I then wrote to them and they said there was an option to change it for future purchases, or to make sure I'm reading the description correctly next time. Not happy they couldn't help me fix it and now I'm giving a piece of paper instead of a nice gift card."
"I want to commend Victor for helping me get credit to the person who referred me to Raise. He was patient and asked for help to get it done!"
"Fantasic customer service!"
"This site's customer service is non-existent. I bought the wrong gift card, and attempted to call back right away to cancel the transaction. I was notified that there are 20 people in front of me, which was fine. After waiting for 25 minutes when it was finally my turn, I was suddenly told there are 17 people in front of me. At first I thought it was a glitch, so I waited another 25 minutes. When I'm again finally the 2nd person in line I was told again I'm the 18th person in line. The fact that I got pushed back twice during their normal "working" hours proves to me they have no customer service. They make you wait a long time hoping you'll just go away, and if you don't they will just push you back making you think there's a glitch. If you do business here, you better hope you won't ever need to contact them for anything."
"At first they were okay, but then suddenly my credit card--which I stored on their site--was used without my authorization. I called to resolve the issue, but Raise.com has no phone support; when you phone them you get a recording "there are _______ people waiting ahead of you..." Finally==after 25 minutes on hold I was elated I was actually going to be transferred to a live person, WRONG. I went straight to someone's voicemail. I left a voicemail message and never got a call in return; sent three emails--received no answer. Finally I had to cancel my credit card (major hassle as I had it saved for automatic monthly deductions as it is also a debit card from my checking account), go to my bank and file a report to dispute the $160 I was charged without my authorization. So if you use Raise.com just pray you have no problems because no one will talk to you or even email you!!!"
"Very personal and professional service. Solved my unique problem quickly and effectively! Responded quickly to emails and calls even on Sunday."
"Thank you for your kind support. Keep up the great work!!!"
"Jenny was great... And on a holiday weekend no less!!!!! She even followed up via email twice! Thank you Jenny!"
