Scamming Site - Realtruck.com

"Worse online purchase experience ever!!! Buyer beware, wish I had done a cursory review of them prior to making the purchase. Now the gift I bought for my wife is a month late. Real Truck truly ****!"

Don't waste your time, go somewhere else!

"Is this even a real business?!? 10 days after placing an order, no shipment confirmation / tracking email has been sent. tried checking on order status online - no response to inquiry. Tried calling RealTruck (10AM Monday), the automated phone system said due to high call volume, the wait was 2.5hrs - BS!
Called credit card company, had them reverse the charges.

Fuel Off-road and RealTruck.com are garbage!

"Don't order anything from these clowns! They have the worst customer service and will not take care of you if your order comes in damaged!! I ordered a set of 4 fuel revolver wheels and one of them was damaged. After chasing them down for over a week I get a notification telling me essential I'm stuck with a damaged wheel that isn't safe to drive on and they aren't going to help me at all!! What the heck am I suppose to do with 3 good wheels?? Highly upset with both RealTruck.com and Fuel Off-road for their poor customer service and not standing by their product. Is asking for a safe wheel so much to ask for?? I should have just went through another company that will take care of their customer instead of purchasing here. I won't ever make that mistake again."

Tonneau cover didn't fit truck. Support unable to fix. No refund.

"Late December 2019 I ordered a BAK Revolver X4 Tonneau cover for my 2016 Chev 3/4 ton, 8ft box. I got the cover in reasonable time. The rails were damaged by the shipper but I just straightened them with a plastic hammer.

The cover didn't fit properly, and, after a lengthy period of trying to get RealTruck to fix it, I asked to return it. Once I asked to return the product, the RealTruck support stopped responding to any further email.

The problem with the cover was that it was about 5/16 too short. There was a gap at the tailgate that would let water run in, and enable someone to unlatch the cover by poking a stick or screwdriver into the gap.

The problem with RealTruck support is that they are not equipped to deal with complicated issues. If you are missing a few nuts and bolts they can probably handle it. But I was basically asking for a design change to make the cover fit. I have no idea what they were saying to the mfgr. about my problem. I asked to talk to the mfgr myself but no luck. A few months into it, they said they were sending me a replacement cover. I asked them to please, before shipping it, to tell me what changes the mfgr. had made and why they think that this will fix the problem. No such luck: they said they could not ask the mfgr. about what had been done. I received a cover that was 1/8 longer than the original. The 1/8 was probably due to production tolerances, not a design change.

Timeline:

Jan 3: received order
Jan 7: reported to them that the cover did not fit properly
Jan 7 - Mar 17: Many back and forth email about the problem. Mostly asking for pictures and measurements of the cover. I sent quite a lot of detail about what was wrong with it.
Mar 17: They shipped a replacement cover. Instructed me to destroy the old cover instead of returning it.
Apr 1: I reported to them that the replacement cover did not fit. This resulted in a new ticket#, and further requests for pictures, measurements etc.
Apr 3: Support told me that the problem was "out of our hands". This is a bit ambiguous but I took it to mean that they were not able to fix it.
Apr 4: I asked to return the product for refund. Asked if I should destroy the product or ship it back.
Apr 6: Got a reply saying the returns-dept. would contact me. This was the last email reply from them.
Apr 17-18. After no further contact from support I sent a few email to try and solicit a response from them. These were all ignored.

Following this, I tried filing a dispute with my credit card, but this was rejected with the reason that I had waited too long to file the dispute and that I had not returned the product as promised. This is a little annoying as I never claimed to have returned anything. The dispute attempt was a long shot anyway.

Anyway, I am now 1000 dollars lighter and I will have to see if I can adapt the Revolver X4 to my truck somehow. Or, try to sell it at a loss or just send it to the dump.

I will not do business with RealTruck again.

If you want to roll the dice with RealTruck, I would advise:

1) If you have any trouble requiring support, don't let them string you along for any length of time. Make sure you know the date cutoff for returns, and don't let them stall you past this date.

2) If you have an issue with product design (something doesn't fit or work as promised) return it for refund right away.

3 Use a credit card, and dispute the charge asap if they stop communicating with you when you try to return your product.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY - THE WORST!

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They shipped me a non-fitting item. I called their 'Customer Service' to request a return. A week later no reply so I called again and waited on hold for an hour and a half for an agent that I suspected would never answer. So I eventually left another message that likewise was never returned. Fortunatly I paid with a credit card and not a debit card or else I would be stuck."

this place should be charged with fraud. I suggest the customer writes to the city attorney in Dyersburg TN and press charges.

Worst customer service ever

"I wish I would have read these reviews before buying a tonneau cover from RealTruck. The cover arrived damaged, which happens, but I expect the company to quickly take care of the issue. All I got from the customer service representative was taking down the information and telling me an agent would contact me, but couldn’t tell me when. It has now been 5 days and still haven’t heard a word and have $1000 cover sitting in my garage unable to be used. I sent a reply message to the representative asking for an update and have been completely ignored. Will NEVER use this company for anything ever again and be you to not order from them either."

Legitimately Terrible Customer service

"So I ordered a set of Fender flares for my 07 1500 GMC Sierra, after waiting a week when they said 2 day shipping I received my order and it was wrong (1999-2006) and didn't come close to fitting my truck, this is now week 3 of arguing with them and then saying they will email me a return label within 24hrs and never doing so FOUR TIMES***, I will never buy another product from this loser company and I would have settled for just the correct flares but now I have no interest in a correction because after 3 weeks I took my business elsewhere, I want my money back. "

Everything worked out!

"I purchased a set of Westin step bars in October of 2019. In March of 2020 I noticed some cracking in the powder coating. I was nervous after reading all the horrible reviews on Real Truck and didn't expect any results. I contacted Auto Customs, a subsidiary of Real Truck, who shipped the bars and started a claim with Tim. Soon Brittany contacted me by email and I sent some pics of the cracks which she forwarded to the Manufacturer (Westin). The next day she emailed me with a message from Westin that a new set of bars would be shipped out within 24 hrs. Got them the next day!!! Thanks Real Truck for the great service!!!! "

Terrible customer service

"I should have read the reviews. I ordered two Gator Trax Tonneau covers over 2 weeks ago. One shipped and the wrong item all together and the other hasn't shipped at all. I've spoken with 4 different customer service people, left messages for 3, sent 6 emails and I get a new ticket number each time, no call back and no answer to the wrong item shipped. Don't use this company! "
