"My first reacher came into my world during rehab for a knee replacement at the age of 49 years. Frankly, it was the most valuable item that came out of that surgery. The Reacher gave me the independence that I cherished, and allowed me to return to my daily work and personal time without having to ask anyone to reach for anything. It has gone on all my trips, even when I moved to Norway for five years. The elastic cord is losing its ability to grip things, so I am retiring that faithful, most useful of tools and replacing it with its newest, strongest descendants. "
