"Ordered windshield wipers and they didn’t fit. Went through the refund process and they said that I ordered the wrong part. WTF!?!? I’ve ordered 100s of parts online and have had zero issues until now. I double checked my order through RockAuto’s website and sure enough, I ordered the correct part. Instead owning up to their error, the shut my case and no refund was issued. Now I’m stuck with the wrong part and without any recourse. I spend 10s of thousands of dollars ordering things online and this tops my worst online purchase ever! Never again."
"Ordered a clutch master cylinder for my Volvo C30. Part had a bad retaining clip, said they would not replace it because my car is not turbo charged, even though there is only one clutch master cylinder for the C30 regardless if it is turbocharged or not. Only different manufacturers.

"Charged me an extra $7.99 to ship 2 identical ball joints from 2 different warehouses, even though the parts originally were in my cart in my cart and set to ship from a single warehouse. They refused a return on a New Old Stock serpentine belt covered with warehouse dust, and discolored from sitting on a hidden shelf for several years. Oh, and poorly packed an AC Delco alternator that had a mounting flange broken off upon delivery. Be prepared for some disappointments."

Part in box was another brand that is $15 less in price, and no auto down. That is some shady there now. I'll just swap it at the salvage yard when I need something there."

"I can't see why all the negative reviews . I have been ordering for years and only had a couple of problems . They were company errors and were straightened out immediately . i didn't even have to ship them back the parts .
Had a couple warranty claims and again no problem and return shipping was unnecessary .
I am not too happy with the starting of collecting sales tax , unfortunately that is the states being sure to get theirs. I always price local autoparts stores first w/ discounts etc. Timing is the most important factor unless the price is extremely different . I have checked prices on replacement parts at local store say $37 and Rockauto will have the EXACT SAME part for $ 12 including shipping /tax . "
"Their site said the brake calipers I ordered were correct but when I went to install them they were the wrong ones. Then when returning them they do not refund shipping and do not pay for any return shipping even though I feel this was their mistake in not getting me the correct part. I will never shop on their site again. I thought I was saving a few dollars but now after getting screwed out of shipping both ways it would have been cheaper to get the parts from my local auto parts store. Learned my lesson buy auto parts locally and never again from RockAuto."
"they lack customer service (it exists but its pretty awful), they lack a product rating system, tokenized payments, pretty old site but it works. The thing is you can select brands and the prices are right compared to local auto parts store that often you get knockoff branded parts."

"horrible they offer no real communication and refuses to talk to you directly offers no help but self help. Took 14 days to delivery a part late by a week took 4 days to mail after i paid and refuses to communicate. Many bad reviews and i should of research them first. They have cost me over 380.00 dollars in their delays and will most likely file a claim with BBB and maybe file with State Office for unfair online business practices. To sell auto parts and have a 10 year old outdated website and looks pitiful should of been a warning. If you call the main office they hang up on you and state in message do not call us for any reason period. this company should be shut down and closed for fraud. "
