"DHL claimed it went to the post office, post office claimed they never received it? RockAuto was absolutely no help they were e-mailed the problem and never replied. Never deal with a company that uses DHL - post office hand offs or a company that you can't call with customer service."
"I bought brakes and rotors from rock auto the end of Feb. and had them intalled in March. My car started shaking really bad when I brake. I took it to a license mechanic and he said the part are warped and now I have to replace all of it again. I tried to call rock auto but they have no one you can call. You have to email everything. they said they won't give me a refund trying to say it sounds like my calipers. I took it back in and my licensed mechanic said my calipers are okay, that I was sold crap parts. Went back to Rock Auto and they will not make good on selling bad parts. I understand there are warrenties, but they know, brakes and rotors should last way longer 8 month. They should do the right things. Cheaper is not always better....don't learn the hard way. Now I have to pay all over again!!!

"I ordered parts to work on the suspension for a Toyota Camry they sent me three of the same part instead of two fronts and two rear suspension contacted them to send one back so I can get the front end they sold me a shipping return label I used it they then told me that that shipping return label was incorrect and that was my fault and they charged me for shipping to their other Warehouse when I complained about it they charged me for two more shipping costs and then refunded the difference so i spent $80 I got $50 back after they got done shipping the part they gave me wrong back and forth between two warehouses 4 times"

"I used to use rockauto til recently. I ordered my part put my address as billing my nephews as mailing their computer system mixed the addresses. I never got my part because the USPS sent it back to rockauto. I am working on getting my money refunded to my account that's been 17 days so far. I just received an email stating my account will be refunded shortly but it is not the total that was taken. I paid 30$ and they are refunding 27$. Crooks is all I can say. They have a phone number but it tell you that it is not for customer service you have to email them only. Needless to say I will never order from them again!!!! I will pay more for a part before I order from them again. Yes I did get my part from another part store and I paid 57$ so save yourself the headaches stay away from rockauto"

"Ordered an alternator for my Honda. According to their limited description it was suited for my car. Lo and behold it turned out not to be. As far as Rockauto is concerned it was all MY fault. Had to pay shipping back (which was quite costly) to get a refund. As you have to pay in advance, they're holding all the cards.
A company shows it's true worth when things go wrong. Rockauto's customer service is non-existent. No human contact, only limited email contact and when you prove your case they cease to communicate with you anymore.
My first and last purchase from rockauto. Next time it definitely will be Amazon or I'll buy locally."
"I needed a part for my car, it is laid up because of this requirement, Rock Auto quoted two business day shipping, I ordered the part last Friday, Sunday they produced an electronic shipping slip and I was first notified by them and Fedex that the parts would be in on Wednesday. I stayed home to get the part, booking Thursday off so I could get my car repaired and picked up.. The part did not come on Wednesday and on Thursday Fedex said it would be coming on the Monday... WTF happened? Rockauto never shipped until Wednesday and THEN the lied about it... Fed ex told me it was not ready for pick up until Wednesday and Rock Auto said it was picked up on Monday... all the time my car is STILL laid up...
Which is why you are hearing about them. Had I known this was going to take so long.. I would have ordered the part elsewhere...

"I look after 5 cars and a trailer for me and my kids and parents. Some foreign, some domestic with no issues of wrong parts from RockAuto. I do brakes, engine repair, shocks, suspension, steering, etc. Rock is always my first choice and 90% of the time I buy from them.
I had a defective solenoid for my Durango and RockAuto stepped up and refunded the money right away. I ordered $900 in engine parts and gaskets and not one issue.
Shipping is always fair, prices excellent and the 5% coupon usually pays for the shipping. Shipping is usually 2-3 days which works fine for me."
"I have recently became a customer of RockAuto.com. Even more recently, I became an ex-customer of RockAuto.com! The pricing is good, the availability of parts are good, but none of that makes up for the absolutely horrendous customer service they provide. On my first order, I received a part that I didn't order, nor was I billed for and it was only after I gave them a bad review on Customer Lobby, a research firm they pay to track their customers experience, that they finally heeded my request for them to send a call tag to me to get this part back to them. Mind you, it was a part that they sell for $93.81! At that time, I could only shudder to think if I actually had a problem with them. Well it happened and they confirmed my thoughts about their absolutely horrendous customer service! Never again will I subject myself to doing business with a company that lacks the value of their customer(s)."

"Purchased brake pads, returned in original packaging because the sensor were not ordered. Requested return and refund, sent the package secured with clear tape from my job;;;Rockauto emails me to say that the original box had priority tape so no refund--mind you the original box was inside secured with clear tape so was the outside. Rockauto scamed me for no refund and if I wanted the brake pads back I had to pay shipping again or they will keep the brake pads to discard. The brake pads were never used-opened box no sensor so mechanic said send back to reorder. RockAuto is not honest I'm so dissatisfied and upset."
