"When I purchased my printer, I also purchased the extended warrantee , not knowing how important that would turn out to be. As it turned out my printer developed a non repairable problem determined by the manufacturer.
That it when Square Trade came in and took control . They checked the purchase , and warranty info, and refunded my purchase. Thank You."

"I made a purchase of a countertop nugget ice maker through Amazon about 19 months ago, and since my past experience with the bullet type countertop ice makers had been frustrating because they usually last about 13 or 14 months, I thought I'd hedge my bet as there was a 5 year extended warranty available at a very reasonable price through Allstate Protection Plans, so I purchased it. My ice maker lasted about 18 or 19 months before it started to fail. After going through the manufacturer for some trouble shooting etc. they finally told me it was out of warranty and there was nothing more they could do. I contacted Allstate, fully expecting to get a huge runaround and no satisfactory conclusion. After some emails etc. I finally got a real person who was quite helpful and told me I could get it repaired locally at my choice of repair facility and they would reimburse me as long as it was not more than the original cost. After a few days of contacting several appliance repair firms locally and also the manufacturer themselves I discovered that nobody repairs the countertop ice makers. I sent Allstate an email explaining my process and the results of my efforts expecting to never hear from them again with them telling me that my case had got lost in the files or some other excuse, but to my surprise and delight a few days later I got an email telling me they had reviewed the case and the check would be in the mail shortly. About a week and a half later I received a check for the full amount. Thank you!!!"

"I drove 50 mile to be home because I was told the furniture repair man was coming to repair my chair between 10 AM to 2 PM. At 12:36 I received a call from the repair person and was told he lived in New York and was going to do a facetime video to troubleshoot the problem. I don't use face time but I got through it and had to go around the chair with my phone and push buttons and I told him exactly what was wrong because the same thing happened to the other chair that you fixed after 4 months. I showed him if you moved the wires on the motor, you could get it to function sometimes. Then he had me flip the chair over and show him the motor so he could take down the number. I'm 73 and this isn't an easy task. Now I guess I have to set and wait again. I hope it doesn't take 4 months this time. I would not recommend your product!"

"I forgot how little these plans cover. My plan states "Power : Normal wear and tear is covered on power issues. My issue : Power cord salls out of TV randomly, thus disconnecting the power. TV shuts down. I do not plug it in and out, as I use the remote. This issue is not covered. This is my 2nd interaction with Allstate Protection Plans. They never cover my issues. I now must replace my own power cord. $9.99 at Amazon. Next time I'll pass on the protection that only seems to cover Alien Invasions and Zombie Apocalypse's, and then I can use the $45.00 I saved and buy 4 power cords, just in case. I say skip the Protection Plan that only covers the above issues."
