"When I purchased my printer, I also purchased the extended warrantee , not knowing how important that would turn out to be. As it turned out my printer developed a non repairable problem determined by the manufacturer.
That it when Square Trade came in and took control . They checked the purchase , and warranty info, and refunded my purchase. Thank You."
"I purchased insurance for my Shark Vacuum Cleaner. I got an email that it was going to be replaced with a similar items. Among the items to choose for replacing my vacuum cleaner were a baby Shark themed Play set or a baby shark themed storage bin. Unnacceptable. I don’t know if that was a joke but I don’t find it funny at all. "
"I had purchased a backpack from Walmart online and I paid for the protection plan. Four months after I purchased there was a rip in the stitching. I I filed the claim and as soon as I had filed, the claim I was offered a $44 gift certificate to settle the claim, I accepted the settlement less than two hours later. I had ordered a replacement backpack complete with the protection plan again I received it two days ago. "

"My cell phone stopped charging and the charger got very hot. I called the Allstate customer service and they gave me the option to either mail it in for repair or take it to the local shop. I made the mistake of taking it to the local repair shop because I thought it would be more convenient and faster. The local shot is/was terrible, incompetent and a very poor option. They could not repair the phone (although it turned out to be a pretty simple repair). I reported this problem to Allstate and they told me to mail it In to them, which I did. They repaired and returned it within 1 day. Fantastic service. When I bought the phone I was a little skeptical about the insurance but it more than exceeded by expectation.
BTW: When I was talking to my cell phone provider I mentioned I was sending my phone in to the insurance company and they looked a little skeptical and asked who was the providerr. When I told them it was Allstate, the associate then said, 'oh, then that's ok. They're a good company'."
