"Wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. Deceptive in their referral offers and don't honor their committments. This Star has flamed out. Do yourself a favor...find another provider. There are many other to choose from besides these guys!"

"After being a customer for about 10 years, I asked to transfer my service to a new address and Start Tex wanted me to put a $300 deposit just to transfer my service and I told the customer service rep why the deposit? He reply that is what the system is telling me and wanted to check my credit as well. I told the person on the other line that I was going to look for options and if I was to cancel my sevice due to not wanting to put a deposit, will they charged me a fine? since I only had a month left on my existing contract and he reply no because. Couple of days later after I found another electricity provider I received an email saying there will be a $50 fine for breaking my contract. End of the story do not stay with a company that does not treats you right after being a customer forb"
