"I booked a flight and a hotel one night. The flight's booking was seamless. The hotel seemed seamless, but then I wanted to cancel it (within an hour or two of booking it) because I plan to stay with a local friend instead. I didn't see it under the "My Trips" Page. I called support multiple times and went on a wild 3-hour call cycle among Student Universe, Get a Room (the Third-Party business that Student Universe works through to book rooms), and the hotel where I booked. Student Universe and Get a Room both said that the hotel refund policy is that there are no refunds given, but the hotel themselves said something differently. The hotel clerk had to leave a note the manger to email Get a Room. I am still waiting on that refund."
"Flight tickets from Germany to the US were cheaper than on any other booking platform, but I had to submit photos of my credit card and ID immediately after booking to confirm my identity. Worked out well, but wasn't exactly expected by me, and caused additional work."
