"Ordered several OEM software CD products. 5 days later I'm still waiting for my order to ship. Repeated e-mails asking for a status finally recieved this response:
"Your order is going out within a day or 2, sorry for the delay because
we have 1400 orders during the last weekend
But you should receive order by this week"
I finally gave up and cancelled my order today.
UPDATE, 7/29 - They did not accept the cancellation of my order:
"There is no way to hold your order, and surely it's been shipped because we have everything in stock, but somehow I could not find any tracking info on your order, so I think it just someone in the shipping area shipped it out without the delivery confirmation. You should receive it
by next Wednesday or earlier."
Assuming they actually did ship my order, I won't get it until 12 days after placing my order.
So, to you thinking of ordering from this site, I strongly suggest you instead find a reputable vender to do business with.
UPDATE, 8/2/04 - of course no software has shown up. I am protesting the charge on my credit card as fraudlent.
UPDATE, 8/3/04 - Asking about the status of my order, and my intention to cancel it, I receive this response:
Ok, you want a full refund or you want to receive the order within 2 days? Just let me know either one of the above to save your time."
I replied that I want a full refund.
UPDATE, 8/8/04 - Still no refund credit, and of course no software. But I got this email later in the day:
"Your credit card is going to be refunded by tomorrow, and let me tell you what was going on. We actually shipped to a wrong address, and
I couldn't find it out because the paper work was being filed, so I couldn't find out what exactly was going on. Anyways, I do apologize
for your inconvenience."
UPDATE, 8/10/04 - no credit on my card, of course. I can not believe that this company is actually in business, as far as I can tell they are pure rip off."
"No matter what I do, these people continue to send me mountains of unsolicited email. I've asked politely again and again to be removed. Instead, I'm supposed to click on an 'unsubscribe' link. That link includes some really suspect code, including references to marketing outfits. In other words, if I click on that link, I will be swamped with other people's garbage -- and Surplus Computers probably earns a nickel of profit for the reference.

I wasn't able to burn any of the DVD's since every time I put one in it froze my pc. I emailed their tech dept on the 15th and still havent recieved a reply (today being 7/28/2004). Hopefully if I find out my disc's are bad they let me return them, if not I will be extremely upset. "
