One and done -- won't do business with, again.

"I bought a turntable from them a couple of weeks ago. It arrived with substantial cosmetic damage, so I contacted them immediately. They said they would recitify the situation "immediately". Since then, I've heard nothing from them. Probably won't do business with them again, as they seem to promise a lot more than they actually deliver."

Purchasing the Orange Rocker 15 Terror Amp Head turned out to be a Terror with Sweetwater

"I've been using a competitor's online music website for over 20 years, but I'd had always heard the hype surrounding Sweetwater. So I decided to give them a try. The problems came when I purchased the Orange Rocker 15 Terror amp head. My first one came and it had some bad tubes in it, as it had very little power until you turned the GAIN knob well past 6 o'clock. So I tried to contact their TECH SUPPORT, as that what it said to do online if you feel your stuff was defective. Well, it was a Friday afternoon and I guess due to COVID-19 they were not manned well, as I waited on hold for over 40 mins and decided to hang up and try the online tech support, as it was supposed to be faster. Well, I never heard back from Tech support that entire weekend. On Saturday I decided to contact my assigned sales engineer, but she was not available so I left a message. On Monday, she contacted me back and promptly switched me to the tech support and they gave me an RMA and told me to return the defective unit and they shipped a new one, however they were currently out of stock but they were supposed to receive some on the next business day. Ok, so speeding my story up, I receive my replacement that Thursday or Friday, and lo and behold, this one had a bad squeal whenever you switched from standby into half or full mode, and then there would be some bad loud static-like sounding stuff which would last for 30 or 40 secs then die away, but randomly come back. I went online and googled my problem and it seems it would most likely stem from bad power tubes... now this is a new unit, so I didn't think I would have this kind of problem... twice. I'm not sure if Sweetwater even checks the amps to see if they work, apparently they do not, or it was jostled too much via FEDEX (that would be another story I suppose). I ordered an Orange Brent Hinds Terror amp head through the competitor's website on clearance and when it arrived I had no problems (it came UPS). I seriously doubt the issue was with ORANGE, but anyway I decided to totally re-tube the amp I got from Sweetwater and it now works as it should. However, I don't think you should have to do that with a new product.

I gave Sweetwater 3 starts because 1) they exchanged my product, 2) this was relatively fast, and 3) their tech support eventually sent me a response from my first issue 4 days later (told me it was bad tubes). However, getting two bad amps through no fault of my own is a bitter pill to swallow, and I'm always going to think whatever I order may be bad as well from Sweetwater.

"Bought a drum kit for my daughter on the advice of my cousin who is a Sweetwater customer. We ordered what he recommended and it arrived in a matter of days. It arrived in great shape. Getting a follow-up email and phone calls were a great end to the transaction. Sweetwater does it right."

Simply the Best

"Sweetwater offers customer service like no one else. They also assign each customer their own guide who will be with them each time that the customer has a question and places an order. These are people who generally play an instrument and have some key insights. The showroom/s at Sweetwater are also staffed with experts who are very helpful and if something is not right with your order or purchase, it will be made right. It is truly a pleasure to do business with Sweetwater whether via the internet, phone, or their retail store."

Gold Standard Customer Service

"Sweetwater has... by far... provided the best customer service of any music retailer I’ve ever dealt with.

Even through this period of quarantine, they were prompt and responsive with numerous separate orders that I placed as I built out my drum kit.

The orders shipped and arrived quickly... and I received a follow up call by my sales engineer Cameron Greene every time.

Sweetwater has a great reputation and they richly deserve it!

Great Customer Service

"I purchased a PreSonus 32SX digital mixer. Will Newbill reached out to confirm some details on the order, and then the product shipped quickly in the heavy duty carton from PreSonus and arrived with no damage to the shipping carton. It was easy to setup, and took about a day of playing with it to get things setup the way I liked. Overall, it was an excellent experience."

The Best in the Business

"I've been buying from Sweetwater for at least twenty years. They have a "personal touch" in how they connect with their customers and make sure all the details are taken care of. My latest purchase was a high end Taylor, which was a special order, and a GS mini model as well. My sales engineer was there to help me with every question and to keep me informed on the status as Taylor limited their production during the virus shutdown. If I ever make it to Fort Wayne, I'll make it a point to stop in at Sweetwater to personally thank Kurt and everyone for all the help in getting the best gear at the best prices for many years.
