"I’m all about supporting small and local business. And if my small and local businesses had the service, selection, convenience, and price that Sweetwater does, I wouldn't be writing this review.
This the way it works. I decide I want a guitar. I look at videos, search google for info, search local ads for used ones similar to what I want and eventually decide to buy a new one. So then I might make a call or two to some local shops, I might even visit a couple. After viewing their high profit margin, low quality units and allowing a shop owner or employee a few minutes to try and talk me out of what I’m looking for, I’ll leave frustrated and decided not to go through that crap again.
2 minutes later I’ll be on my phone ordering the axe I was eyeing on Sweetwater. Soon my buddy Cody Kraus will be contacting me to discuss my purchase and let me know he’s on it. About 48hrs later my freely shipped new music tool is here and I’m a happy camper.
I’m sorry to bust on the tried and true buying local tradition, but convenience outweighs compassion for my local vendors.
