"Their web store shows they have parts in stock. Then after you order and pay they contact you and say they actually don’t have the item in stock and it’ll be 30 days or more for item to ship. "
"Their website said the parts were in stock (they weren't). They asked whether I wanted to buy something else, and when I said I wanted to cancel they went AWOL. Emailed them three times over several weeks... Nothing. Guess I have to put in a chargeback with my credit card company to get my money back.
Scam company. Never again. "
"Avoid at all costs. They are the worst of the worst. I have bought brake pads from them; the website makes you choose your vehicle with the year, engine, and everything. I clicked on the right product and bought it (it said it would fit both engines).
They e-mailed me, asking what my engine was and if it would fit with the product they sent me. The only option I had in the email was a 2.0 engine, but when clicking on the product on their website, you get a checkmark that says it should fit with the vehicle you selected. I replied that my engine was a 3.3L. No one replied back to me for a good three days. I got tired of waiting and clicked on the only option showing on the email (the 2.0L option). I thought it was a mistake on their part. On any other performance car part dealer's website, it says it should fit both engines (and it also says that on their own website).
I have received a part that fits on a completely different vehicle (a Kia Sorrento), an SUV. It's impossible that it would fit either on the 2.0 engine or the 3.3 engine, but for the front, I got a totally different brake set that I thought would fit but didn't. I drive a Kia Stinger GT 3.3L twin turbo, not an SUV. Two very different cars!
Since then, I've told them it wouldn't fit, and they've asked me to take pictures to prove that it wouldn't fit. As requested, I sent them pictures of the pads just sitting on the rotor (I didn't install them), showing that they both wouldn't fit. They then asked me to picture the front and rear pads, so I did that.
They then accused me of having done some "marking on the pads." Just some black spot that was already there. The funny thing is that I only tried one out of the eight brake pads, and he said that both the front and rear pad had that "marking" on it.
I replied, saying it didn't make any sense. They then said they would send return instructions. They had been waiting for a week and decided to just send it to the return address on the same box that ''they'' used. I was waiting, and I got tired of waiting.
Just to note that as of today, I still have not received the "return instructions." It has been since May 5 that I first said it didn't fit. I'm not sure how long they want customers to wait for. I'm still waiting on their "return instructions." I paid and shipped the product using the return address on the box; it turns out it was the EBC Brakes warehouse located in the US. I thought it was supposed to be a Canadian website. Once the parcel was received, I emailed them, asking if I would finally get my refund now that they had received the package! It turns out they are not the sender. What kind of "business" is that, and why do they say on the website that it is supposed to be shipped within Canada?
Clearly, they screwed up sending a product that wouldn't fit, and now they ask me to tell EBC Brakes to return the product to me and that I need to ship it back to them..Doesnt make any sens does it why are they not the one dealing with that??
I still didn't get any return instructions; it's been a since May 5 already, and I can't drive like I want because it will damage my rotor, so by the time I get my money back I will need new rotors!! Thanks to them for making me drive with an unsafe vehicule!!!
They want me to spend more money for shipping and wait longer; they are the ones who screw up. They also said that when I finally get a refund, if it ever happens, they will make me pay an extra 29.99 for the first time they shipped, and I will also have to pay to return the product to them. I don't get it. They want me to pay three times for shipping because THEY screwed up. It says on other auto parts that both the 2.0L and 3.3L have the same brake pad, and they shipped one that was made for a Sorrento!
I will just directly deal with EBC Brakes from now on and tell them the whole story with screenshots and everything. Hopefully, they won't sell EBC brakes from now on!
This company is almost committing fraud at this point! Never in my life did I get such bad service. Driving with worn brakes is a hazard! I can't go out more now because of them, and I'm not sure how much longer until I get my refund. This doesn't make any sense.
I'm not sure how many people got scammed by them, but I am telling you this is a nightmare right now, and I won't let that go! I am part of the Canadian Forces and will tell everyone everywhere I go to never buy anything from this ''business." Ebay, Amazon, or any other auto part dealer would be much better."
"Placed an order for coilover kit that was in stock and after everything's done and they took my money they tell me it's been discontinued and they can't get it so now because they place the order and took the money out I now lost a promo I had with my card so I'm out about 300$ thanks Tdot! Always great service ...."
"I looked around online for a Corsa exhaust and I thought this company looks like it has honest prices and free delivery. So I order the Corsa exhaust for
$3780.22and a couple days later I get told that the price will be more. Then I had to give them $214.97 more then what I already paid them. So now I paid them $3995.19 Then the next day I was told that I was going to have to pay $245.87 for shipping and that they would cover $77.87 and that I would have to pay $168. If I return the items for refund I will be deducted the $77.87 from the cost of the exhaust. Remember they say that they have free shipping. Any shipping cost should already be added in the price of the items you choose to buy not later. That makes for good business. Be a honest company, if you say free shipping then give free shipping or at least add it to the cost ahead of time not after someone chooses to buy something. All my family members live in Ontario and now are second guessing weather they will buy any more from this company. They have great stuff just need to be honest up fro

"I special ordered EBC brakes and they came a little later than expected but they fit well and the brakes are much better than my last set."
"I bought rims for 3100 dollars and had to put then because my other rim was trash and within 1 month they are garbage and tdot told me I'm not warranties whatsoever so now 3100 gone"
"If you don't need your parts for a long time, I guess it is ok to order from these Characters !"
"My Borla exhaust came from the USA with free shipping and no other fees in three weeks. The catback fit and sounds amazing!"
"Purchased full set of mats on Black Friday sale.
They had removed the discontinued tan version for my vehicle, so thought they had actually done some sort of inventory cross checking.
Yeah no
Couple days later they tell me my choice is discontinued and would I like something else instead?
So I look again at the alternatives (weathertech) which I wasn't as interested in AND cost more than the Rugged Ridge but finally agreed. Then they went on to tell me these were back ordered 40 days (recurring theme here?)
If its backordered then its backordered, thats fine... but then they then they wanted +$100 more because they would loose money satisfying the contract with a more expensive product.
I am contemplating filing against them for breach, just to be petty, because they took full payment which i then interpreted that the deal was solid. Didn't look elsewhere in the meantime so I missed out on getting anything this Black Friday because I put my trust in these clowns.
The Competition Act (canada) is pretty clear about the proper redress for this situation to not constitute bad faith business practices. But they are (according to the reviews Im finding now) pretty well versed in their BAIT AND SWITCH business moldel.
I recommend others also take a few minutes to file complaints with the COMPETITION BUREAU of CANADA. hopefully if their name keeps coming up they will get properly investigated and educated. This sort of crap will continue to be profitable for shysters as long as they can get away with just refunding the unsuspecting public's money that they "borrow" for a month" while looking to get you to buy something more expensive.
At least they did return my payment finally, after a day shy of a month
It would be nice if there were a law enforcement agency that had jurisdiction to protect people from illegal trade practices like this."
"I really wanted to support a Canadian business.
Aside from the fact that they show items as in stock, only to tell you after that it will take weeks or months, their return policy is a lie.
I received an item that's different from what was shown on the website. They tell me it is the right item and that they already have a disclaimer saying that the image might be different.
When a customer reads "the image may differ from the actual product", they don't expect to receive a completely different and inferior sku of the product. They show both versions and I clicked on the polished (more expensive) version. It's a bait-and-switch.
Now despite their "no hassle return guarantee", they want me to ship the product at my cost plus refund them 20% of the cost of the original item that it allegedly cost them to ship the product to me. I am stuck going back and forth with the customer service to get my money back.
Any company that doesn't stand behind its service and hides behind disclaimers and misleading advertisement doesn't deserve anyone's business. "
"Second time buying from TDot performance. Received my MBRP order today no issues, everything is in the box to install. Lots of selection and great prices!"
"Every review is a 1 star. My experience is no different. Horrible and rude customer service. Have no idea how their own website works. Argued with me for 3 days about the part I ordered wasn’t till I said to cancel it that they preceded it. Ordered Nov.22/22 it is now Dec.1/22 and still not shipped. Not even an apology just saying that it’s my problem if the part don’t fit. Been a week now still has not shipped. I hope this business goes under. This is the third strike with them. Horrible business I’ve read hundreds of reviews of the same comparison. You should be ashamed. Mag even report this business. "
"Don"t trust TDOT. They are horrible. They are happy to take your money but do not stand behind their products. They will pretend to try and help you if you have issues, but in the end, do nothing. They are swindlers. Don't waist your time and money. If you find a product you like on their website bypass these idiots and buy direct. They are not worthy of your loyalty. Stop supporting them. They don't deserve to be in biusines. You are throwing your money away.

"In the past 4 months, I have purchased over $10000 in parts for my pickup. The last item to complete my trucks face-lift now has an extra $373.48+taxes shipping charge that I just received an email about. So much for free shipping and no hidden fees."
