"Ordering was pretty fast and easy. I paid for the 3-5 day shipping, and I received the tv the day after it left the warehouse. My only real complaint about TVAuthority is that less than a week after I placed an order for a 46" DLP HDTV, the price has gone down $100. I called and asked what they would do to keep me as a satisfied customer in regards to the price difference, and I was given some line about how "I paid the same price that it cost them to purchase the tv." We'll wait and see how they handle it though. My wife enjoys handling things like this, so she's going to call and see what she can do this afternoon. I'll update once I have more."

Still no TV, tried to contact brian, to no avail. Credit card was charged the next day. Have sent emails to no avail.

I am about to cancel the order and allow the nice people at Visa to get my money back from this company.

I would not do business, ever again, with this company.

I just called and talked to Tico (since brian NEVER got back to me) and cancelled my order. Tico said I would receive my refund in 5-7 days. Today is the 26th, we shall see.

tvauthority (and brian) you are liars. My next step is to write www.panasonic.com and inform them of your lack of integrity. I'm betting the people at Panasonic take my complaint concerning your business practices very seriously.

So much for your "Guaranteed Delivery Window**"

"I placed an order on 10/23 for a small TV...not one of their big ticket items. The same day, my credit card was charged for the order. The following day, I received an e-mail indicating my order was placed for FINAL PROCESSING and that they estimated delivery between 11/7-9 (2 weeks later). There was no indication that it would take so long for delivery of a 26 lb TV. And they indicated the item was IN STOCK! I tried to contact customer service via e-mail about this with no response. I placed a call and was told this was normal. I complained and asked for the shipping info, which they could not provide. It took 6 phone calls and 3 e-mails (which they never answered), and direct contact with a customer service supervisor, before I got results. The supervisor indicated that they maintained no warehouse and everything shipped from a distributor, but they had no way of tracking which distributor got my order. They had no way of tracking the status of my order. He indicated that they have been having problems with their distributors lately, and their customer service was now poor. I questioned their financial status and he assured me they were not having any financial problems. Finally, on 11/8, I received notification that the item was finally shipped and I received it on 11/14 (22 days later). Also, when I wanted to cancel the order because of the long delivery time, they told me about their cancellation fee, which I did go into their site and found, which says that once your credit card is charged, they will charge you a cancellation fee for the reprocessing. But eventually the supervisor said he would waive that fee but asked me to give him a chance to handle this himself. He was not timely in getting back to me, but eventually pushed this through.

Although their price was good, do not expect to receive your merchandise in a timely manner, and you may have to pay your credit card bill before the merchandise arrives! I was ready to dispute the charge on my card.

It is difficult to get any information out of the customer service reps. I felt threatened when told it would cost me a fee to cancel. I felt like I had been taken and would never see my TV or my money back. This was a very stressful transaction for me. And it took way too many phone calls to get the status.

I would not use this vendor again!

"Another person who ordered a product that nevers ships! Ordered an "in-stock" plasma TV on 11/20/06; called a week later to get a tracking number; was told product had shipped and tracking number to come; called three days later and told product had shipped and tracking number to come; called one week later and told order had been "sent to warehouse" and had "probably shipped", with promise to email tracking number; called a week later and told "no way to know" when product might ship. It's now four weeks later with credit card charged on the day I ordered but no product in sight. Customer Service lies to you (when you can get through). DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY MAY HAVE BEEN RATED OK PRIOR TO THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS, BUT CHECK THEIR RECENT REVIEWS. BIG TROUBLE HERE."

"I buy everything that I can on the internet, from my computer to the mattress that I sleep on. I'm so happy that I found TV Authority.

Everything about my order was perfect. Aaron was very knowledgable about flat screen TVs. He helped me to decide which one was right for my situation. I was notified immediately of my order status. I was sent e-mail tracking notification and my order arrived earlier than I had anticipated, which was great!

The delivery company called me to set up an appointment. They even waited while I inspected the television. Aaron even followed up to make sure that everything was okay.

I highly recommend this company to anyone who is thinking about making their next purchase on the internet.

"AVOID!!!!! Horrible customer service. As others have stated, charged credit card immediately and waited a full week to ship a TV stand they said they had in stock. TV stand arrived broken. There is no way possible to reach an actual person in customer service. I spent 2 hours on the online help screen today and no rep ever appeared on the screen. 50+ phone calls have NOT gotten thru to a customer service rep. I had to dispute the charge on my credit card because of their horrible business practices and customer service."

"Same story, ordered a 50 inch plasma and now nothing. Tried for 30 minutes to get through on the phone which was busy. As I write this I've now been on hold for another hour. No response to email, live operators online never show up.

I agree, complete scam. Next call is just going to be to my CC company to have a charge back issued.

"Tvauthority has taken our money on 11/24/06 it is now 12/16/06. They have continually not returned calls or e-mails regarding our purchase of a 50" plasma. Order status has shown shipped, awaiting tracking number for over three weeks. I have spent hours on hold during the last two weeks attempting to get answers. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company yesterday and plan to file complaints to consumer fraud agencys and file complaint with Attorney Generals Office.
BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE I THINK THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS FRAUDULENT SCAM ARTIST MERCHANT!!!!!!

"The most unscrupulous company i have ever dealt with on the internet. Placed order for TV on Nov 26, 2006. Credit card was charged on Nov 28, 2006 but status on web site did not show TV had shipped. Called customer service and rep assured me the TV had shipped on the 28th, but she could not yet provide tracking number. Status on web site showed the TV had shipped this same day. Was told the tv would arrive week of December 7. By end of week no TV and still no tracking number on web site. Called again and was again assured the TV had shipped and would arrive by week of Dec 11. Called third time and got runaround as to why tracking number still could not be found. Was told that info would be found and emailed same day. Never heard from anyone. Called fourth rep after two weeks and was guaranteed the tracking info would be given to me in a phone call before day was over. Call never came. One more call and told rep i would not get off phone until order was cancelled. Finally determined tv was not in stock much less shipped. Order was cancelled, and i too will probably have to file dispute to receive refund. Under no circumstances should you deal with this company."

"FOR YOUR OWN GOOD DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM TV AUTHORITY ONLINE EVER!!!!!!!!!
I am adding this suggestion to help protect everyone from having a long and disturbing
purchasing experience and possibly ruining a christmas or occasional gift for someone. My
experience with TV Authority has been hands down the worst purchase experience ever. First
of all, I purchased a $2300 dollar TV online from them to save $200. The current price for
the TV was $2500 from Best Buy. I thought that I had made a smart decision to save a couple
of hundred dollars. I was completely wrong. After two days, I had not received a shipping
confirmation. I called numerous times in attempt to obtain the shipping info to no avail.
I had paid for the three to five day shipping surcharge. It took one week for me to receive
a shipping number. Finally, one week later, (I was already supposed to have received the
TV) I thought I could watch the progress of the products delivery through Mach 1 Air. A
couple more days went by and the progress on the delivery had not moved. I then called
TV Authority again. They made up another excuse! Excuse after excuse!!! First it had not
been released by their Warehouse, then it was the shipping companys fault, the list goes on
and on. Finally after another two weeks, I contacted the shipping company who I find to be
legit. They simply said that the product had not been released by TV Authority. I can
only speculate why TV Authority does this. Maybe because they have their no restock fee
guarantee in the first month. They just take a month to deliver therefore; tough!!! Keep
in mind the very first night that the TV was ordered the credit card was charged. They had
my money for three weeks and the TV had not even been shipped out of their warehouse. If
they even have a warehouse. Probably someone's garage! What did I finally do? I asked
them for a full refund. I know in an operation that small how easily it is to refund money.
I own a small company which deals with returns as well. Thirty days had gone by and they
never returned the money. Thirty days is the amount of time that any company must lawfully
return any returned merchandise to a charge card. I had to contact the credit card company
and have them credit my account. Hopefully Bank of America is having a easier time getting
their money back. After all of this, for a good measure of customer service, they never
apologized for anything. THE POINT OF THIS BLURB IS TO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE NOT TO PURCHASE
ANYTHING FROM TV AUTHORITY EVER!!!!!!! I ended up purchasing the original TV I wanted at
Circuit City 1/2 mile from my house, put it in the back of a suburban and had it home the
same day. PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD DO NOT PURCHASE FROM TV AUTHORITY!!! I will be posting
this message on every page I can find that helps evaluate online website purchasing. I will
be checking back on those pages to respond to anyone's questions or concerns. If my message
is erased, I will repost it, and I will be reposting this message for the following year.

"What a joke this company is. I placed an order with them due to the very good price. Once I saw all of these horrible reviews I immediately cancelled and ordered from Amazon.com for even less than here. I got that set in about a week. I cancelled my order on the 27th of November and here I am, still waiting on them to refund me over $2,000.

As of 12/14/06 I will be giving them 24 hours to credit my card back then I will go to the Better business Bureau as well as filing a dispute with my card company and any other legal recourse I have to get MY money back. They charged my card as soon as I placed the order which should be a HUGE red flag to all who are thinking about ordering from these guys.

They continue to give me the run around when I call about when my money will be given back and I am now done waiting. Do not deal with this company...you will be dissapointed.

"As most people here I wish I had checked this site before I ordered a TV from them. This has go to be the worse experience I ever had from an internet dealer.I cannot get an answer about my order other than " We will get back to You" which they never do.Its all about double talk and lies. I have just canceled my order but have not gotten a refund. I just put a dispute in with my credit card holder and now will file a complaint with the state of California.
Save yourself time and aggravation and shop elsewhere.

"HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I too wish I would have found this site prior to placing my order. No way to track your order? C'mon. I ordered my TV, tv stand, and warranty on 11/8/06 and was promised a delivery date of no later than 11/27/06. The shipper would contact me and set up an appointment. It is 12/04/06 and I still have not received my order. I have never been able to get through to a customer service agent. The IVR phone router only gives you the option to leave a message or go online and contact them via e-mail. However, I have been able to reach sales agents with minimal effort. The company line from the sales agents when asked why I can't reach a customer service agent is " They are extremely busy." The service is pathetic. When I actually reached my Sales agent it took the threat of cancelling my order for him to finally find out that my order was delayed a week by the shipper, no reason given or assurances that it would arrive in any given time period. Stay away from this company. I will be contacting the BBB in regards to their poor, poor, poor business practices and treatment of their customers. One should expect more when shelling out over $2k. "

"I am very satified with TV Authority. I ordered the HDLP TV. I called the next day to get the shipment # which they provided. They told me they would send the tracking website link to my email and that the approximate date for recieving my new TV was two weeks maybe sooner. I got the tracking # and a link that was updated daily to let me know where the TV was. The TV arrived 1 week sooner than they said it would and they made sure it was easy for me to be there when it arrived. Got a great TV just what I ordered and Super Service. I will buy from them again. Thanks TV Authority. Darren"
