Customer Service is nonexistent there!

"I ordered a Minn Kota trolling motor on 05/28/20. When I ordered it their website said 10+ available. The item was paid for the same day and I received an email 45 minutes later stating that it was out of stock.

I tried calling but they're not taking calls So I sent an email to sales@tackledirect. I asked that they cancel the order so I could buy from another vendor that has them in stock. I waited a week, got no response and my order is still pending review.

So I wrote another email, again asking for the order to be cancelled. I have waited another week and still have not heard anything back and my order is still pending review.

It is now starting the third week and now the item is "Unavailable" yet my order is still "Pending Review" and I still have received no response to my emails.

I don't think I've ever dealt with a company with this level of customer service. They've got my money and that is all they care about.

I am disputing the charge now. Who knows how long it will take to get my money back and being on social security I can't afford to buy from anyone else because they have my money.

(Update)
1 hour after I filed a dispute with PayPal, Tackledirect refunded my money.

I received this response on my review on another site.
"It looks like you were taken care of today and fully refunded. Sorry about the backorder on the motor and slow response time. We are doing the best we can."

I love the way they call it "taken care of". After holding my money for over 2 weeks and ignoring 2 emails, I was "taken care of". I would still be waiting if I had not filed the dispute.
Not the kind of company to do business with. I'm leaving reviews everywhere I can find.

This is a retraction for my first rating of Tackle Direct, all is good, in fact excellent , received the first order do to a mix up.

"Direct tackle made good on my purchase, I have always like them, I was angry and apologize for my bitterness.
Everyone's nerves are on edge, Direct Tackle made good, I will buy from them again, only after this pandemic crap is over.

Good selection of fishing gear

"Tackle Direct has a good selection of fishing gear & it made it easier to narrow down
my choices because you can compare prices and features.
It would be great if they had a real time chat box so a customer who has trouble speaking
on the telephone could ask questions via text box. It would've made my selection much
easier.After looking at the selections after a week, I finally decided to take a chance on my best
guess. Upon receiving my gear, I'm very happy with my purchases of rod and reel, which came well packaged and without damage. Thanks Tackle Direct!

"Same as others, told item was in stock, ordered said item was charged and given order number then 3 days later get email saying item was back ordered from mtg. WTF? Tried several times to contact phone and email...no response. Shifty **** company. 6 days later still no product and no response, BUT OH YEAH STILL GETTING ADS FROM THEM TO ORDER SAME ITEM. Crazy. Do not use these guys. "

10 days and 3 attempts and they cannot provide me tracking or shipment infomation

"Ordered 2 items 10 days ago. 1st was delivered timely. 2nd item they cannot even give me an update as i've called 3 days in a row to only be told someone will get back to me. Day 4, I hope I hear from someone. They shouldn't charge you until the order is shipped. So far they have floated my $ a 1/3 of a month. "

!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY DON’T RECOMMEND BUYING FROM HERE !!!

"I had made an online order from tackledirect.com for over $1500 and I received shipment only worth $1000. All my balance items that was worth $550 have not been shipped, or shipped they shipped it elsewhere! (All these items were in stock and too).
I have been frantically trying to get in touch with Tackledirect since almost the last 35days with literally hundreds of phone calls to their toll free and multiple emails. But there has been ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE from their end. It has been over a month and my orders haven't been delivered to me.
I am extremely disappointed with their customer service support and their irresponsible behaviour.

!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY DON’T RECOMMEND BUYING FROM HERE !!!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE SHYSTERS !!!!

"I made on online purchase of $197.00. They sent me a confirmation email that they received the order. They shipped and to my surprise, all the items that I ordered were not delivered. Not only that but the invoice clearly showed that they billed me $197.00, and only sent me $121.00 of the order with no mention/ record of the missing items or backorders on the invoice! I tried to contact them for a month to try and speak with them to see what they plan to do and I couldn’t get through after hours on hold. I contacted my credit card company and I had to file a claim against them. It has been 3 weeks and still no response! PLEASE WARN EVERYONE THAT THIS COMPANY IS A RIP-OFF!!"
