"Not a good experience. The phone associate was distracted & showed no interest in the reason I was requesting an exchange. I had to repeat myself several times before he got what the purpose of my call. When he did order the exchanged he charged me more than the original cost of the sweater I bought. My issue was I bought a pink & an ivory sweaters in the identical sweater both in Petite small which is my normal size with Talbots . The 2 sweaters were sized very differently so I wanted to order a 2nd ivory sweater to see if it fit me like the pink sweater. I know Talbot has great customer service but this was definitely not your norm. Just wanted you to be aware so that other customers will not experience what I know is not your normal excellent service. Thank you."

"I ordered two sweaters and only one arrived in the package even though the receipt said two should be in there. When I called and explained this to the associate he kept repeating “I can return it for you.” I thought he was referring to the sweater that arrived. After a while and a good bit of back and forth I realized that on his end he had to “return” a phantom sweater in order to reorder and send me what was missing. The customer doesn’t need to know the internal process, they just need to know another sweater will be sent. Using a conversation flowchart may have helped this individual provide better and clearer service. I was surprised how rude he was when I did not understand. I’ve never had this kind of expedience with Talbots before."
