"I received a call from Shannon to tell me that my order was sent to the wrong address. So you all cancelled my order. And she said she created a new order using the black Friday deal so the cost would be about $184 which would be lower than the $196 originally paid. She asked me to call to provide a payment method. I called the next day and waited about 20-25 minutes on hold. I explained what Shannon said in her message. The rep said the second order Shannon had set was cancelled because I called the next day and not within 12 hours (which was not in Shannon’s message). The rep said he could not give me the Black Friday deal unless I opened a Talbots card. I asked for a manager and he said it could take a while. I explained numerous times what Shannon said and he said he could not find a note from her and that transaction was already cancelled. He said all he could do was the original $196. It then took another 10-15 minutes to actually do the sale at the higher $196 price."
"I am retired now but when I worked I was in a professional position that demanded I wear suits ‘ heels daily. I purchased almost all my suits at Talbots. I am still wearing those high quality suits 20 years later. Talbots focus has changed to more casual since but I loved shopping for my professional wardrobe there."
"I simply inquired as to the possibility of obtaining a piece of self fabric of the shirt dress I bought to create a gusset to install into each side seam as the dress was just a bit small. Rather then request an exchange for the next size up and risking the garment be too big , I thought this would be easier and more practical for me as I am a seamstress and fashion designer. Perhaps I could purchase a self fabric belt to use for the alteration. Perhaps there was a second or damage in the warehouse that he could inquire the possibility of my obtaining fabric to do said alteration to my garment . I know I’m dealing with sales personnel but , moving forward, I would advise Talbots to better inform its phone sales associates . I have worked for Liz Claiborne Outlets before the closed up in the late 2010’s and our service was stellar! We would call outlets nationwide to obtain a belt for a customer! The associate had no idea what I was requesting."
