"I have needed to contact Talbots three times in the past week aside from placing an order. When I placed the order , the associate was friendly but left off an item. When I called to check about that, the associate was not very pleasant. I thought I was being clear about the problem but perhaps not. She was trying to give an explanation and became exasperated and seemingly frustrated when I couldn’t make sense of what she was trying to explain. I received the order yesterday but one other item was not included although I had paid for expedited shipping. I again called to see where that item was. I was told it was being shipped from a store and I should receive it at the beginning of the week. The issue has been that we are heading on a trip this week, thus the expedited shipping. This last associate was helpful and pleasant.I need to say however, that although nearly all of my wardrobe is from Talbots and I have been shopping there for years, I have become very frustrated within the past couple of years. Still usually love the clothes, but attempting to place an order or follow up on problems with orders has often been a nightmare! I have literally been on hold for over a hour. Connecting with a knowledgeable, thorough and friendly customer service representative has certainly been hit or miss . I certainly know that good help is hard to find in this day and age, but is it training, a matter of budgeting, hard to keep staff, or something else? I really, really hope things can improve . I have actually expressed my dissatisfaction this week to several friends and family members. Thanks for listening. Julie O’Brien"

"I have been very disappointed in the quality of your products in recent years. The fabrics are cheap and do not reflect what USED TO BE Talbots cut above other retailers. I have better luck with quality fabrics at J Crew FACTORY store. This is a sad commentary on what Talbots has become. The sizing is inconsistent which makes it a challenge to shop at Talbots, especially since I shop petites and they are harder to find in your stores. When I first started shopping at Talbots I could order my size and every item fit like a glove. Not now!! Lastly, Talbot's prices have skyrocketed for inferior products. I would be ashamed to assign the prices for such inferior products. I am seeing this especially in sweaters! I can purchase acrylic polyester sweaters in Walmart and not for $99.50 or more!!! Please go back to the quality you used to have in your products and make your long time clientele happy."

"Have been having problems with your website, agent did not understand what I was telling her and could not get them resolved, problem happens frequently when trying to order, keeps looping back to checkout page without completing transaction. Doesn't matter whether I sign out and re-start order, same thing happens. Very frustrating to have to constantly call in orders when you should be able to complete orders online. Work in the software industry so it is not a question of not being able to understand how to order something online, problem is your website, your agent indicated I did not know what I was doing."
"I live a distant from Talbots and not always able to get there when I see an item I want to buy. I was unable to order the item I wanted to buy on line so I called the number listed for Talbots. I was greeted by a very pleasant lady who knew exactly what I wanted and completed the transaction in a very timely manner."
