Now with this in mind, TheNerds were able to ship my order to me within one day of what I had previously thought. After the storms hit their respective areas, I had graciously accepted the possibility I may not see this order until some time late next week. Lo-and-behold, my order arrived today (10/28/05) intact and on time!
WOW! These folks have more in the way of determination than any company I have dealt with. It takes so much for e-businesses today to stay afloat than one can truly appreciate. I tip my hat and salute these people for what they have had to endure and to be able to follow through on their delivery.

"I'm late with this because I've been trying to recover my money through the Better Business Bureau.
Nerds.net charged my credit card, without my knowledge or authorization, for an item which I didn't order but was sent to my son by their error. By law, I was under no obligation to pay for it, but my son called them & sent it back. By the time I discovered the charge on my credit card (which VISA says was fraud since I didn't authorize it), it was too late for VISA to collect from the company. Buyer beware!"
"The good news: Placed my order Thursday afternoon and they processed it that very day. It was delivered next Monday which, for a 110 pound Color Laser Printer was a great accomplishment. I was expecting UPS shipping but it came via FedEX and with that I was also extremely pleased.
I had questions before I ordered, so I placed the order by phone. TheNerds were polite, knowledgeable and placing the order was straight forward. Later that afternoon, I received an e-Mail that my address didn't match my credit card address ... I called and had them add an "s" to the street name and that was taken care of ... and they still managed to get the order out Thursday afternoon!
The price for the printer was very very competitive and shipping was fair ... I'm still not sure how you can FedEX something that heavy for what they charged.
The only part of the order process that caused me concern is that they did not update the website with shipping information and a tracking number until after the printer was delivered. That caused me all kinds of concern that perhaps the printer had not even shipped yet. My concern was totally unfounded, but it could have been avoided if they had updated their web-sites order tracking page with more diligence.
But it is hard to remain upset when the speed, cost and overall handling is this good.
I will definitely do business with them again and would recommend them to anyone."

Customer Service was very plesant to talk with, all six times I had to contact them.
I ordered hard drives, they sent refurbished drives. I returned the drives, and they sent me the refurbished drives again.

"DON'T SHOP HERE!!! Called Business on 2/15/05 to confirm that product was in stock as displayed on their website. Was told by salesperson (unknown name) that product was in stock, and available for shipment same day, scheduled to arrive the next day (2/16/05) via Fed Ex. The charge for shipping sounded unreasonable. The cost of shipping from Miami to Orlando, Florida was $137 overnight via Federal Express, much more than quoted from Federal Express directly for an 11 pound product. I was assured that it would arrive on 2/16/05. I called 2/16/05 to confirm, and it was not shipped, but they reassured me that it was available to be shipped and that I would receive it on 2/17/05. I called 2/17/05 and was told that I should be recieving the product that day before 4pm. I asked for a tracking number and was told that their computers were down. I insisted that a tracking number be provided, when jeff informed me that the product was back ordered and not in stock.
BUYER BEWARE!!!
1)The company's practice of over charging their customer's shipping fees.
2)This company's appalling sales tactics.
3)This company's lack of integrity in their business practices.

"I just wanted to inform you that TheNerds.Net, which you link as a supplier to customers, is what I would rate as the WORST experience I have ever had buying online.
over 1 hour total time to get sales department to answer their phones... I'd lost a camera power adapter and needed a new one.. they said I needed a particular one, whic I gladly ordered... got it the next business day and found it to be uncompatible. Again almost an hour to get to customer support. Then the run around that I'll have to check with this guy or that guy. Then they say since I ordered the wrong thing it is my problem and I can NOT return it!
I may be out of work and not have much money, so this caused a bit of extra hardship that way, but I DO have time to get on the web and let EVERYONE know that TheNerds.Net is the WORST place that I have ever purchased from!"

They next day they called me and told me they had none in stock and they were backordered. It took them 3 days to figure that out. If you're in a hurry don't EVER trust these people."

"I'm very dissatisfied with my purchase from TheNerds.net. All seemed fine, until the package arrived, and only one of two items was included. I emailed their support, and never received a reply to this email, and it's now 2 weeks later. Strike 1.
In the interim (around the 16th), I called them via phone. I was told, after much holding, that the order was incomplete because the missing item was on backorder. No one bothered to call me, or email me about this, I had to actively hunt out the information. If I hadn't, the item never would have shipped and they'd have kept my money, as far as I can tell. Strike 2.
I was then told I could wait for the item or be issued a credit. I chose the latter, and have STILL received nothing. I am checking my account daily, waiting for this credit, and again it's been almost two weeks. Strike 3, they're out.
There are plenty of other retailers out there who can properly handle an order. I urge you to avoid TheNerds.net, and find someone who actually cares about your order."
