"I am a concerned first time shopper with The Digital Hunter.
My order was for a Nikon lense; when I called to confirm the order (a very strange practice) I was told a new model Sigma equivalent was more up to date and a better choice, and if I disagreed I could return it.
I left two voicemail mesages regarding returning the Sigma lense, which is a very poorly designed product. Finally I reached a rep, David, who helped me orchestrate the exchange.
Hopefully the new lense, when I receive it, will satisfy my need.

""Be VERY carefull with this company. I only wish now I had done better research as I would have not gone through this vendor. But I have just finished my order. I asked to canceled right after (non order related), but was quickly reminded of the no cancellation policy. They did try to call me I understand(but on the road on business). Like many of the reviews on this site, they got me with the lower price of the so call "imported model" vs the USA model. They also gave me a discount (on the call of oh yes we have to check your credit info)...which apparently now puts me into a non-refund policy because of the small discount. Although it's my responsibility to check the entire site for purchase policy...a customer responsible agent should have pointed it out. It just felt wrong on the call...I should have listened to my instinct. I'll update once I receive my product and verify with my shop that that camera is legit(not implying it's not).

"UPDATE: Once I posted the review (below), Ben from Digital Hunter called me by phone and asked what he could do to "make it right". We settled on an additional rebate of $50.00 to compensate me for having to run out tonite, before getting on the plane at 5AM tomorrow, to Best Buy to buy the spare battery for the camera that I was to have gotten from DH. Good news: They DO care about bad reviews and DO care about making it right, or at least trying. Bad news: now I've got to go out and HOPE to find a compatible battery pack. Ugh.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They offer the lowest price on many items but then call to push hard for an up-sell. I ordered a digital camera and then was pushed to buy "error-free" data cards and "high-density" batteries.....all bogus. Finally got the camera, but without the extra battery and charger that I paid for. Now when I call about the battery, they give me a "tracking" website that doesn't appear to exist."

"Digital Hunter and Canon are perfect partners. While Canon is the undisputed King in digital photography, the customer service at Digital Hunter is next to none. I made an order for a camera and lens then later realized due to my error one of the lens was not included in the package deal. You can imagine my concern when the order is over 6K and package deals are usually final! When I called them back and told them my situation, I was told that the order had already shipped. That's when Josh in customer service came to the rescue. We hashed around ideas and he offered me the lens in question for a sweet deal I couldn't refuse. Remember, they already have the lowest prices on the web so to offer an additional substantial discount is just unbelievable. Also worked shipping around our upcoming vacation. No sir, I just can't say enough good things about Digital Hunter. Not only do they have the best prices but also a customer service that goes the extra mile. They stress customer satisfaction and they sure deliver. And on top of all that they even changed the complimentary lens to a mount that would fit a camera I already had! Now, it just doesn't get any better than that. Kudos to Digital Hunter.

You probably need to know exactly how much you want to spend and what product you want o buy, but this is general observation/comment with any purchase on the web… This part maybe slightly confusing, but overall experience with the company, and particularly with customer service representative Steve was very positive. He was extremely helpful helping me with what is the best option for me to buy and gave me a good deal for the equipment that I bought. He sounded really genuine. The package arrived promptly and in a very good shape. So, overall experience with the company was suppressing good. This probably one of a few photo web stores which would help you with your purchase. I can and I will recommend this company to my colleagues and obviously going to buy more equipment from them.

However, given that I ended up speaking with someone about my purchase, I ended up with an upgraded camera($200 more) from my original purchase, plus a $300.00 item that I didn't request.
