"I buy from here all the time, I bought medium weight forks, they should have been lightweight, so I am returning to get heavy weight ones. They are charging $19 and change to return it because it's my fault that they are flimsy, if I wanted a flimsy for, I would of ordered lightweight."

"I purchased a case of bowls, consisting of 36 bowls. When the package arrived I could tell by the sound of clinking that there were probably broken items. It was double boxed, the original case inside a shipping box. However there was only one layer of packing material on the bottom, virtually none on the sides of the case, on one side of the case there was ZERO packing, the case was right up against the side of the shipping box. There was tons of packing material (plastic pillows) on the top where it did absolutely no good. Out of the 36 bowls 9 were smashed to pieces, honestly I'm surprised it wasn't worse. I emailed customer support, no reply whatsoever. I'm writing it off to experience, 27 bowls is ok for my purpose. However, I didn't get what I paid for and webstaurantstore did not show any interest in taking care of my situation"

"I created an order by mistake and immediately canceled it one minute later. They were closed at the time and reopened at 8 am. They e-mailed me shortly after 8 am and said they would not cancel the order even though it never had been shipped yet. They said I can return it for shipping charges and a 30% restocking fee. It never even shipped out and they could not provide any tracking number or proof it had shipped. I tried speaking with the company and asked them to please not ship the item and they refused. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! They refuse because either way they will make a 30% fee + shipping costs that they determine. Highly Unethical business practices!

“Thank you for your review, Qixotic. The reason that we charge a restocking fee is to keep costs, and ultimately our prices, down for our customers. When you buy from a company that has no restocking fees, you pay for returns that the company handles, indirectly, through higher prices. There are a lot of costs associated with processing an order, as well as returning an order. Most companies do build it into their initial pricing, but we try to charge it only when it is needed.

"I have used webstaurant frequently in my past until recently purchasing the wrong vacuum sealer bags. I online chatted with a customer service rep asking to return them and get the proper bags. They unfortunately said they will not take these bags back because I opened them and tried them. I buy online a lot, I feel like everyone takes returns except this company. I will not be buying from them again."
