"This review is regarding Order # 38028987. This company is one of the most unscrupulous businesses in from which I've ever purchased. My company needed a new coffee maker in our Building B break room. We had previously purchased one for our Building A break room which is almost identical to our Building A break room. Of course the coffee maker didn't fit in our Building B break room due to the difference in the depth of the counter there compared to Building A's counter depth. No big deal, correct? I will just pay closer attention to the depth of the coffee maker and order one that will fit the correct counter depth. Wrong! Webstaurant Store charges a 20% "restocking" fee plus the return shipping even if you intend to exchange the item for a proper sized one. I was actually going to spend more money to purchase the correct sized coffee maker. I can understand charging the customer a return shipping charge- that's fair- but 20% for basically opening a box and putting the item back on the warehouse shelf? This company is shady, and I will not be doing business with it ever again. The customer service skills of the Customer Solutions Specialist I've been dealing with is worse than any fast food worker you've ever encountered. She actually tries to justify the $90 Webstaurant has made off of me for doing nothing by saying this is how they keep prices low. Well, I see how this company keeps prices low now. "

"We had a mixup with our order. An hour later customer support reached out via email giving me an hour deadline to make a certain change. I responded immediately but never heard back. I clicked the "chat" option on the web site and sat for over 30 minutes with o response. I have emailed them again hoping to resolve the matter within the deadline that Customer Service Rep gave me. They are impossible to reach. Oh and shipping is outrageous for a three ounce item that is not fragile."

"I did a lot of research in choosing the faucet for my home needs and finally placed an order and received my T&S faucet. Upon arrival, I realized that this is not the faucet as is depicted in the website. I never tampered with or unpacked the new merchandise. I contacted the Webstaurant Store chat group and was notified that a 30% ($100) restocking fee would be charged for my return. I calmly explained to the sales person that the illustration on the website is not reflective of the product received and the customer should not pay for a website that has errors. I was told that their illustrations are not accurate....as they indicate in their illustrations and the restocking fee is charged to keep the prices down? What???.
I finally decided to keep the faucet that I purchased to avoid the $100 restocking fee and order a faucet "add-on" that would convert my faucet to the one I originally wanted but the sales team could not tell me if the new T&S faucet is compatible for add-ons. I finally contacted T&S manufacturer and they quickly guided me to the correct add on part.
In conclusion, I like the variety of this web store but I feel that they have lost the one on one business relationship that most of us desire. If you know your website illustrations are not correct then why not correct them or allow the customer(s) return the product without a fee. I lost time researching, waiting for delivery, chatting online to return the product and researching online again for a faucet add on. Secondly, their shipping costs are outrageous. I purchased a small faucet add on for $67 and was charged $20 delivery....that's 30%!!! I will try and avoid purchasing from this site if I can. "

Overall after four years of working with this company, I am moving away and only using this company for emergency needs. Its model does not add much value to my company and the product with shipping is hella expensive. I will stick with my local vendors. They can actually price match and provide more value to my company. Also a restocking fee is charged on returns, its so high I always just keep the item and give it away to local companies."
