"Only a form letter response. They owe me $507. That looks like I have lost"
"Keepin it simple. Same boat as everyone. I have placed a complaint with the bbb and a day or so later they responded with "you're complaint has been reviewed and submitted." 2 hours later i recieved an email from tickets center saying i would see a refund in 5 to 7 days. If payment is not made contact financial yada yada trying to make it an issue with my bank. I will update in 5 days. Today is 05/30/20."
"I purchased tickets to Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina . In March they sent an email stating they would give full refunds. Now all.of a sudden they are trying to steal everyone's money. Thats basically what is stealing when they said they would give full refunds back in money. Store credit is a slap to the face for our hard earned money. I see no difference between what you all are doing and scammers. I need my money back please. "
"UPDATE: I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB & FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION ON 5/22/20, REC'D A REFUND ON 05/29/20. PLEASE HOLD THIS COMPANY ACCOUNTABLE!!!!!
Like many of you, my event was cancelled, and I requested a refund. I was told that it would be 2-4 weeks until I would receive my refund. I eventually called and was given the runaround. Then, on May 20, 2020, I got an email stating that because of Covid 19, they would only be issuing a "Store Credit". Now their tactics are having you on hold forever and simply not responding. Oddly enough, if you go to their website, they are still claiming to refund any Cancelled events.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB and the Federal Trade Commission. I am sure that there will be a Class Action lawsuit. "
"Their refund policy in March 2020 stated they would refund all amounts in case of cancellations. OU softball cancelled in April and Ticket-Center got refunded the ticket prices from OU but would not refund that to me or the 400% markup they charged. DO NOT do business with this fraudulent company!!!"
"Absolutely horrible I bought tickets for the Detroit WWE smack down which was canceled due to Covid-19. Currently the state of Michigan is still on lockdown and it doesn’t look like any events let alone WWE will be coming to Detroit. According to the WWE they have refunded everyone. Tickets-Center is refusing to refund us our money. They sent out a coupon with an expiration but the expiration was not on the coupon. This was a Birthday Present for my son. I can’t believe how this company has take advantage of others during a global pandemic. "
"Absolutely appalled with this company! I bought 3 tickets for the Lewis Capaldi show for my daughter and her best friends for her Sweet 16 birthday as he is her favorite artist. Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic the concert has been cancelled. I completely understand this, however what makes me so upset is the fact they flat out REFUSE to give us our money back. They will only give us a "store credit" I tried explaining that we will not use the store credit as we usually don't go to concerts or alot of sporting events but most of all this was a birthday present for our daughter and if they don't refund us our money I don't have the finances to go out and get her another present. These people are COMPLETELY HEARTLESS "
"Company should honor in place at time of purchase and don’t make one up along the way to way it suits them best. A total SCAM. Same as everyone else, I am not able to get a refund only a coupon to a future venue. Keep in mind their is an expiration on this coupon. Not acceptable. They were happy to collect my money at time of purchase of the tickets. I will also file a complain with the BBB.
Once again, don’t buy tickets from this company. "
"They gave me a credit and the insurance won’t pay out either."
"Similar to the rest of the review, I purchased tickets through Tickets-Center.com on March 6th. On March 13th, the event was cancelled and I received notification that I would get a full refund in 2 - 4 weeks. I also reviewed their policies online and confirmed that cancelled events receive a full refund. After 6, 8, and 10 weeks, I either initiated a chat or a phone call (which left me on hold for hours) with a representative at Tickets-Center.com who all confirmed that the process was just taking longer than usual, but reassured me I'd receive a full refund and they would be in contact with an update soon. Two days after my last phone call is when I received notice that they have completely changed their policy from what it was when I purchased tickets and would receive a store credit. It would be one thing if that was the policy going into the sale, however, it was clearly articulated in multiple ways that it wasn't the policy when the tickets were purchased or when the event was cancelled. They took the time It's obvious over those weeks to scam their customers by changing the policy instead of honoring their own terms at the time of sale. If they can't even honor their own terms, then what else would they be willing to go to screw you over in the future? Another case submitted to BBB here, but there should be legal action to ensure Tickets-Center.com honors their terms at the time of purchase. "
"As with almost everyone else here, I purchased tickets and was only offered a coupon after previously being offered a refund that would take only 2-4 weeks to be processed. They sent an email stating they were going back on their word. A complaint has been filed with the BBB. I am looking forward to the lawsuit that this company will face."
"I purchased concert tickets through Ticket-center in February, 2020. The concert was cancelled due to covid 19. The venue is giving full refunds, but Ticket-Center is saying they have 'no money' and can only offer us a full credit--which needs to be used before the expiry date---which they do not mention in their email.
How terrible, in these trying times, to cheat people of their money. NEVER will I use Ticket-Center again!!
"
"I purchased expensive tickets for an event, and do to unforeseen circumstances the event was canceled. Rather than issuing refunds, which is the right thing to do, Tickets-Center.com revised their refund policy so they could steal the money away from their clients and they disguise it as a credit. It’s only a credit if the client plans on using their services again, which I don’t. Here’s a copy of their email:
We’re writing to let you know that the event you were hoping to attend has been canceled. The coronavirus (COVID-19) has resulted in the cancellation of thousands of live events. Government shutdown orders, which are beyond our control, have made it impossible for events to occur as scheduled. Due to this completely unforeseen and unprecedented epidemic, we are no longer able to offer refunds for events that have been cancelled.
Our new policy is in line with that followed by many in the live events world that have been profoundly impacted by mass cancellations. Our new policy is as follows: You have received store credit for 110% of the full value of your order total, inclusive of base price, fees, delivery charges, less any sums already refunded. This credit is ready to be used right now on our marketplace towards the purchase of any ticket. To provide additional value, following your use of the 110% store credit on our site to purchase tickets, we will issue a promotional code to you for 25% off a subsequent order.
We understand that this cancellation may be disappointing news. We value our customers and this change in policy enables us to provide value while dealing with the unprecedented hardship caused by COVID-19. Thank you for your continued business.
Sincerely,
Customer Service Team
Stay away, they do not value your service, only your money. Scammers!!!!"
"The event was canceled and the venue is giving full refunds. Tickets-center is claiming they can’t give me a refund because they can’t guarantee the event is giving refunds. I sent them screen shots of the event page stating a refund would be given and they still denied me. Their website lies saying they will give a refund. They are crooks! I filed a claim with the BBB. You should do the same. "
"- Original ticket sellers are refunding, but tickets-center are claiming they're not. Completely false.
- Issuing a credit.... But with an expiration date....during the same pandemic that is the apparent cause for them to not refund....which means the credit will likely expire before you could use it.
- Crooked is putting it nicely. So let's put them out of business.
- Contact the BBB and file your claim now. "
