"I am satisfied with my purchase of a Canon Powershot S50 digital camera"
"I chose Top Choice Digital because they had a good rating here and had stock of the Canon EOS Digital Rebel for $909. Once I had placed my order, I received an email stating that all orders must be confirmed verbally.
So the next day I call and after waiting on hold for 15 minutes the guy says that they don't have stock but they expect some "packages" the next day. He puts me on hold for a minute while he checks what is coming in.
I'm told that there is a package with an extra battery, case, filters blah blah. Here I'm thinking "wow, all these bonuses for $909" but I'm told after I agree that it will be $1499. No thanks!
I ask if the warranty on the camera is international and they tell me no, but you can buy an international warranty for $199. (5 years) This I later found out to be either a lie or mistake (I suspect the former). I have been reliably informed that the warranty is a 1 year international as standard.
I ended up cancelling my order from them and guess what? They asked for a call to confirm the cancellation. Heh, I know that trick now, seeing as I paid by credit card and the package they quoted me on was not available I told them they could cancel it via email or I would refuse the goods and have the charge denied. They kindly cancelled via email.
It seems that Top Choice Digital really baits people with the low price, gets them to call to "confirm" then jacks up the package to the point they can make a profit. Now, yes I admit the level of service I received was good but I wasted over half an hour on this mob. Buy from them but beware of their sales techniques."
"Avoid buying products from top Choice Digital, they run a classic bait-and-switch business. The company prices products well below retail to draw in customers, then, when an order is placed the high-pressure accessory sales pitch starts. In my case I wanted to purchase a Cannon Digital Rebel kit, the advertised price was $909. The salesman said the product was in stock, great, deal’s done…or so I thought. After politely declining to buy all the extra junk we got to the point of finalizing the order. Well, to my surprise the salesman offered me no choice on shipping methods and told me the camera would show up in 10-12 days. The price for shipping was $40. For $40 you could send two cameras by UPS ground and they would show up quicker than 10-12 days (they’re in New York and I’m in Washington State). So, I asked the salesman about what it would cost to get the camera here by the end of the week (I attempted to place the order on Monday), his response was $90! That’s the biggest load of BS I’ve ever heard. There is no shipping method, not even overnight Fedex that would cost $90 for a 2 pound package. A little math might make their scam clear, $909+$90=$999, which happens to be the retail price for the camera. So, basically, if you don’t buy the super over priced products they try to sell you to make up the difference to retail price from their advertised price they aren’t too happy about it and try to make up the difference with shipping. A great example of their accessory markup is the battery grip for the Digital Rebel (part number BG-E1), their price is $199.99. If you check the price at a respectable reseller like B&H (search for BG-E1 at http://www.bhphotovideo.com) it’s $109.00. One last note about these buggers, I suspect they make fake posts here at reseller ratings to pump up their score. If you read their ratings you’ll see many short, very similar reviews. Bottom line is avoid these scammers. I ended up ordering from Ritz camera, oh yea, 2 day UPS was $14.95."
"I received my camera as promised. Very pleased with my contact with this company."
"This company's requirement for telephone confirmation is reassuring. Their pitch for assessories was also helpful, but a little aggressive. The product arrived in good condition, having been well packed, and was right on time. I will do business again with them in the future if the need arises."
"I purchased a special camera package (SPADA). The sales rep asked if I would like to upgrade the package to include a 128 mb card. I then stated "then this will increase my capacity by another 128 mb?" his response was "yes". so I said "yes". At no time did the rep tell me that the 64mb card would be removed from the package deal. I would not have purchased the extra card to up my memory by only 64mb. I have phoned in and left a message for the rep 7 days ago and have had no response. I am now leaving the country for 30 days and will not be abel to resond to your reply until then. Of course the 64mb card would be welcomed. Outside of that the camera is great."
"Extremely Friendly Customer Service.
Shippped and arrived exactly as stated..
And packaged well protected for the long shipment..
My experience was well worth the call..

"Web site says camera is in stock, webite says it will not allow it to be added to cart unless in stock, reseller rating says camera is in stock, so I purchased it, and then I am advised it is not available to ship for another month (it's not in stock)."
"I highly recommend the nice people at Top Choice Digital. Our transaction went very smoothly. We purchased a Canon digital camera and it came with the U.S. and Canadian Warranty. Ordering from Canada, that was a added bonus to the great deal we received. Order with extreme confidence that you will be taken care of. "
"I ordered a Sony digital camcorder which was low priced at Top Choice and listed as "In Stock". Order was placed on 12-10-03, and phone confirmation took place same day. I did not purchase any of the super high priced accessories offered by the salesman, but he said shipment of the camera would go out in a couple of days.
Two weeks later, no delivery despite the purchase of the upgraded, three day delivery option for $40. Two calls to the toll free number were handled exactly the same: a 15 minute wait on hold, then two male agents come on about five minutes apart, each placing me back on hold without a word after looking up my order number. Finally a female agent comes on and eventually admits my item is "oversold" and they are "not getting anymore in".
An obvious scam, as reported in many of the reviews, but I took my chance and now will have to go an electronics store like the other sheep. "

"Okay, I'll admit I was uncertain about ordering online from a company so far away from me (Oregon from New York). I had not heard about this company before and the prices seemed too low to be true, but TopChoiceDigital rocked! Product arrived fast and as promised,I will shop TopChoiceDigital again!"
"Received item as described at a good price. Sales staff and customer service was polite and helpful. Shipping time was decent considering it was during the holiday rush. Would do business with again and would recommend."
"I had a problem in the beginning with this order. When there was trouble filling the order due to water damage I had not been informed of the delay, so when I called to inquire about my order I was not happy to find this out. I would have appreciated an email with an explanation. I explained that this purchasw was for Christmas, so when they were able to fill my order, they sent it UPS overnight without charging me extra. I do appreciate them getting it to me in time."
"I live back in the HIlls of Arkansas and it's Christmas time, but I received my merchandize all in one piece and in a very timely fashion. Thank you, Top Choice....! Patty"
