"I do not recommend doing business with this company. I ordered a digital camera online, then got an email requiring me to make a phone call to "confirm" my order. At which time they informed me the camera did not come with the battery which is normally included (rated for 300 pictures). They then of course wanted to sell me the battery which is normally included. "

"These guys are low-life scammers and liers. I ordered a Navigon 7100 GPS from them because of their low price and free shipping. I got an email from them telling me to call, and then received a call telling me that shipping was free but UPS charged a $20 handling fee for my order - what a load of crap. Obviously I cancelled the order and will not do business with them again. DEFINITELY AVOID THESE CROOKS."

"so they sent me an email after I placed a digital camera order telling me to call them to further process the order. so i call them and no one answers and I leave my name and number on their machine so one of their “agents” can call me back, but I wait a couple hours and no one did so I call them back and i am on hold for like 20 mins and the guy confirms my shipping address then he goes "and im sure you have a battery for the digital camera at home right" and i go no and the guy says the battery in the kit is a startup battery that lasts for 10-15 mins and then he gives me prices on these two batteries one that lasts for half a day at 39.99 and a whole day at 69.99 and then i say i'll pass then he said really, it is 50% off with your order then i told the guy i would call them back in 10 minutes. so i go on canon's website and call their technical service # to ask them and the battery in the kit is the real battery so that guy was BS so i call topchoicedigital back and they were closed and then i e-mail them to cancel my order and it was an invalid email so then i called my bank to cancel my card before they charged me."

"I just received my Nikon D40 and Nikon 18-55 MM VR and 55-200 MM VR from Top choice digital. I was naturally attracked to their very low prices and having a night-mare experience with Sonic Camera people I was very apprehensive on trying them out since they had lower prices then all the other sites I checked out. I had read some negative reviews from Top choice digital but the bad reviews for them was not near as much coming from Sonic camera, so I decided to give it a shot with a lot of apprehenshion. We called them and they tried to upsell us battery charger, but we were prepared, and said we only wanted what we ordered nothing else whatsoever, no SD card, charger or battery. Plus the camera advertised the charger and battery as coming included anyways and I wondered why they wanted to upsell us on another charger, maybe that is their speel. the rep told us to get a stronger battery for 65 $ but we totally refused and the rep said ok and confirmed our order. The D40 and 2 lens arrived by fedex 2 days later with a one year warranty, battery and charger were included. but no SD card, but so what, I saved nearly 100 $ through them then I would have through amazon.com. So I guess I was lucky because I got exactly what I ordered. So just to encourage others that they can still do business there, but be prepared for their reps who will want to upsell or switch & bait. We didn't fall for it and got what we ordered and are very happy with with what we ordered. I personally will order from them again but will avoid the bait/switch or upsell tactics and simply ask them to please sell me what they advertise, nothing more nothing less."

"Classic bait and switch website. The item you are ordering appears to be a standard product, but after you order it, if you ask whether it is the US version, it turns out to be an international version with inferior warranty and accessories.

I simply cancel my order with such organization - they clearly need to advertise that the product is not the US version. They do not on purpose."

"They are real cheaters. I ordered sony DSC W150 camera online which was priced at $189. The next day got a confirmation call and they gave me a list of other accessories which I rejected to buy. At last they told that they would charge handling charges and the total cost would be $207. If had to cancel my order as I am getting at a cheaper value in other sites. "

"I got an email from them stating that I need to call them to "confirm" the order. It turned out to be the "bait and switch" scheme as expected. The WORST customer service I've EVER dealt with! "Such a scam! I purchased a Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS because their online price was $10 less than other retailers, and they offered free shipping. Turns out they have a hidden handling charge. The next day they called to aggressively sell additional accessories that were ~$50 over what a Google products search listed. Plus they claimed the camera didn't come with a memory card and that I would have to purchase that separately. (B&H Photo includes it). They also claimed the battery only lasts 20 mins, and sold me a replacement battery for $70. Very unpleasant experience due to aggressive salesmanship, and I ultimately canceled my order. "

"Stock-split, upsell and lies. Get an e-mail to "confirm" order only to try to upsell you with extras, batteries, chargers, warranties (normally included items). After 15min of fending off agressive salesmen, I was informed they had a $50 "handling fee" and that is how the industry worked. This basically made them the camera the same price as amazon. Why bother with these turkeys. I canceled my order, they charged my card for a few days before reversing it."

"This is a scam! Be ware.
I made the order for the price of $129. Then I received an email to call them back to complete the order. After a while of waiting on hold, the sales rep asked me to buy an extended warranty. I said I don't need an extended warranty. Then he said my order cost $149, charging me with some fees. Then I realized it was a scam other buyers are experiencing. But I am concerned that my credit card and address are stored in their system. That may cause other abuse consequences. "

"I had read the reviews, and I know that they tend to e-mail to confirm the order, and when you call back, they'll try to upsell you. I decided to go ahead with them anyway as I could always refuse the upsells. Not unsurprisingly, I did receive the e-mail, and I did call, and they did try to upsell me, but I didn't buy anything extra. However, as I need this item in a hurry, I had added overnight shipping to it. When I called, I learned that they had not shipped the order out, and it will be unable to ship out the day I hoped due to them holding the order to upsell. In addition, they had also tagged an extra "handling fee" IN ADDITION to the original shipping fee quoted on the website. The sales rep I talked to said that he had already given me a discount on the extra handling fee, but with everything added together, it was more expensive than if I'd purchased from another store. Also, according to the sales rep, an accessory that comes with the item, a carrying case, is actually not included. It is included with every other merchant, just not this one. I had picked this store due to them being cheaper, but overall they are not due to these reasons. Please weigh your options before purchasing from them again."

"Do not order from this company. They practice bait and switch and stock splitting. They send you an email stating they need to verify your order. Then they try to sell you batteries, charges, etc. that are already included with the cameras (stock splitting) Then they say that this is a non us camera and you need to pay more for a us camera (bait and switch)"

"These guys are NOT legit. Here's what happened with my order. I shopped around and they had a good price for the Olympus 1030 SW camera I wanted. I didn't know about the company and I looked at the reviews I could find. I heard that TopChoiceDigital was a little bit of a pain and that they forced the customer to waste time calling in to confirm the order while they tried to upsell them on additional merchandise. I went ahead anyway.

Sure enough I get an email the next day stating that I need to "Phone in to confirm my order". I wait on hold for 5 minutes and then I get this guy on the phone trying to sell me batteries and other add-ons. I tell him "no" to everything and then he tells me that the camera they are going to ship me for the agreed upon price is the JAPANESE model with instructions in Japanese,etc. He tells me that if I want the US model that will cost $53 more.

I told him to shove it and to cancel my order if they won't fill it exactly like I ordered it online.

My recommendation is that you find the next guys on the list, even if they have a slightly higher price. It is a complete waste of time to try to do business with a shady operation like this one. You know I am upset at the time I have wasted if I bothered to write a review of this length."

"I purchased a Sony DCR TRV38 MiniDV camcorder from this seller for $745 (including S & H) with lots of extra accessories - 64MB memory stick,Camera Bag,Lens cleaning kit,37mm UV Filter,5 MiniDV tapes and a 45 Inch tripod - and all the manufacturer provided accessories and warranty! I found this to be quite a bargain!!

I would certainly like to do business again with this seller!!"
