"Sellers who are selling super fake handbags are rampant on this site. Tradesy's authentication software is inadequate in identifying these items. Rather than issue a full refund in such cases, they only will offer a site credit. I do not ever want to purchase on this site again and would like my money refunded. However it is impossible to get anyone to offer customer support as the site clearly sides with the sellers."
"I'm so glad I found this website years ago. I've been able to purchase name brands that I'd never thought I'd never be able to afford and at the same time give my sister that same experience; since we wear the same size in shoes and share our bags. I love it and will forever be a purchaser, not too much of a seller."
"Tradesy begins to return items to sellers by making absolutely false claims, pulls money out of sellers' accounts and keeps the money in their company (giving store credit instead of issuing refund to buyers). Their "selling freedom - All the sales, none of the hassle" slogan is the biggest BS ever. I've been selling on Tradesy since the business started, I must say that it was great in the beginning but things starting to get ugly and extremely unfair lately. They will make false claims saying your items are inauthentic or not accurately described and ship your items back to you if the items you sold are difficult to resell at Abbey R closet (for example items in older styles from older designer collections/not demanding brands/too many of the same styles stuck in Abbey R closet) or just because they are in financial chaos so cannot take in anymore inventory. I always have 12 clear photos supported by clear, accurate, detailed descriptions of colors, sizes, material, features of my items and I personally bought everything I put up for sale in my closet from reputable retailers with original receipts, but lately Tradesy conveniently returned many of my items to me claiming that they are inauthentic or inaccurately described. They never communicate with you before shipping the items back. All you get is an email saying that "Your item is being returned to you", "reason - Inauthentic or inaccurate description" even though that's not the reason why the buyers returned the items (mostly just buyer's remorse) and your money is gone. The items I received back has nothing wrong with them at all and I have original proof of purchase to show where they came from but NOPE, Tradesy doesn't give a sh** about the proof or what the sellers have to say. Not just that a couple items I received back were used by the buyers with retail tags removed and with missing accessory. One of the used item that I got back even came with the buyer's hand written note clearly stated that she used the item and decided that she didn't like it. Tradesy returned that item to me claiming that it was inauthentic. Of course I receive no reply from my emails to them about this matter. I'm saving all the items that Tradesy returned to me, the customer's written note, and every email communication with false claims about my items as evidence to support my case may legal action is taken in the future. This is absolutely not the kind of service and treatment sellers should receive from paying 20% + 3% fees on every transaction. Plus it takes up to 21 days for Tradesy to release the earnings to sellers and up to 14 days for the fund we transfer to get into our bank accounts. I think Tradesy is going down so I'm going to stop selling by removing everything from my closet and just wait for my thousands of unreleased earning to get released. "
"Excellent shopping experience! From start to finish. :) great service, great product. "
"I have been selling on Tradesy for almost a year. In the beginning, it was very fair. They received 14% and there was no silly "safe transfer fee" It only took about a week for me to receive my funds. Now, from the time of the sale to the time that it takes for me to receive my money is a month or more. I always have to e-mail them and ask about my funds. There have been 3 increases in one year, it is now at 19.8% not to mention the safe handling fee which is now 2.9% just to withdraw your funds!. The safe handling fee they receive from their customers should not only cover the safety of the transaction, it should also ensure the funds are given in a timely manner. Like no more than 5 business days. If you take a look at their website it shows off their beautiful work environment. It is ridiculously luxurious. If you want to know where all of the increases are going, take a peek at their workplace. "
“Hi Theresa, I am so sorry for the trouble! I see that you have also emailed in and a representative has already responded, so I am sorry if that message was missed! To better safeguard your funds and ensure that there are no transaction issues, earnings for all sellers are held for up to 21 days after an item is delivered to the buyer. During this review period, we’ll ensure the security and authenticity of every transaction, protecting both you and your buyers. As per the 2.9 transfer fee - this fee covers the payment processing fees we paid on your behalf when your item sold.
I also do apologize that you feel offended towards our work environment. Although we are a mature start-up, we are still a small team that has expanded and still expanding. Tradesy did launch with only 7 people in the company and has rapidly grown to the amazing company we are now. I hope this helps. If feel the need to express more concerns, please feel free to reach out via email at team@tradesy.com. Have a great rest of the day!”
"I love my new to me Louis Vuitton"
"Honestly I think this is one of the worst platforms to sell your items. I went with “Tradesy” because I had a high-end fashion item which I thought “Tradesy” would be the perfect place to sell considering on a Google search they show up under high-end fashion platform to buy and sell products. Reading through their agreement they stated that it takes from 4-21days for the transaction to be available and 90% of sellers receive their funds in 4 days, to buy with or cash out.
Considering I wanted money for my item I chose to cash out,, you have three different ways of cashing out all of which takes seven days for them to even submit.
( it has been 31 days and counting)
I chose to cash out through PayPal,, seeing that this is a safe way to do all my online transactions,, it has been day 6 (business)
And when I called PayPal they said they have no transactions, they also told me that they have received multiple complaints from customers coming from the “Tradesy” platform looking for their payments in the Tradesy themselves are not putting in the transactions.
I then called Tradesy customer support and ask them about the situation, they proceeded to reading over there agreement, which anyone can understand is so wide open...But it seems a little fishy that it would take over 30 days for your money to be released when your item has been already sold, this seems like “Tradesy” is using the money in some type of way of earning on it,,, all the while they have received multiple payments for the transaction, I.e fees for processing the transaction to PayPal ,, fees for selling your item on the platform, that they receive on time but you do not see your funds for at least a month, if you’re considering selling on this platform try not too,, and please take their small print as fact they need to really clear up how they are presenting their services,,, honestly I feel it’s very deceitful.
If this or anything like this has happened to you I urge people to post reviews of your experience so that these companies are held accountable."
"Everything was great from start to finish! "
"a wonderful on line experience "
"Pearl is hands down the best seller ever! She packs everything beautiful, is so professional, her responses are always prompt, and she even adds little thoughtful goodies with purchase. She’s the best seller on line or in a store. I have already bought from her again and will continue to buy in the future. "
"Tradsey is on of the best re sellers on then WWW. When they have a sale it's awesome. Anytime I have contacted a seller , they respond quickly. Pricing is fair. I recommend this site for pre loved high end items!!"
"Money Hungry Company that violates own rules. Unprofessional, discriminatory and looking for any excuses how to hold sellers funds without paying to sellers as long as it can."

A rep from Tradesy, Tradesy2, has responded:
“Hi there, I am so sorry for the trouble with this purchase. I certainly understand your concern, and I’m happy to help. Tradesy only allows the sale of authentic fashion and we have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to replicas. With 99.7% accuracy, our advanced technology detects inauthentic items and removes those listings from the site - so you can shop designer brands like Louis Vuitton and Chanel with confidence. If you feel unsure about the authenticity of any item you purchased from Tradesy, you can file a Misrepresentation Claim within 4 days of delivery. Tradesy’s Returns and Authentication Team will personally inspect the item, and if we determine that it's a replica, or was misrepresented by a Tradesy seller, you'll get a full refund. (If the item is deemed authentic and accurately described, you’ll be issued Tradesy Site Credit to find something new to love.)
While I realize this does not change the experience you had with this individual seller, I am hopeful that you see that we at Tradesy understand your frustration and would love to have you remain a customer of ours. Have a great day. -M
