"I placed an order for a camcorder at a very good price. The price was $15 better than the next lowest price from a reputable store I know of. Unfortunately, it was a bait and switch. My order was cancelled due to "an unforeseen shortage in our supply of merchandise from our wholesalers." THe interesting thing is that I called prior to ordering and was told that it was in stock and they still have it on their website showing "In Stock" as the status, now at an even lower price than I ordered it for. If it's out of stock, why not remove it from the website, or change the status to "Out of Stock?" I will tell you why. Because they were unable to get in touch with me to upsell me accessories to make up for the price at which they cannot sell it for. Bait and switch, I think they call it. Reel the customer in with a low price then try to sell extended warranties or accessories at a ridiculous price. If the customer doesn’t go for it, cancel the order. Very scummy. "

"I have bought a few cameras from US1Camera over the past few years. they really do have some of the lowest prices, the merchandise comes (as promised) in a factory sealed box with a US warranty. Other places I've called as they had even lower prices, don't have US warrantied product. The first couple of orders were right on the mark in terms of delivery. The most recent order (a high end camcorder) turn out out of stock and was a few weeks later than the promised date. Other than that delay, I have been very happy with the goods and services received from US1Camera."

"I've purchased from this company before. They call you to up-sell but no pressure just say no. This last time I'm told it will be 3 weeks before it ships and they tried to sell me the same item in a package for $250 more that ships next day.

I spent the additional $250 with B&H and it gets here in 5 business days . . . no phone calls, USA manufacturer warranty and easy return.

"I ordered a Nikon D60 DSLR after Christmas, not expecting much after reading all the negative reviews, all I wanted was a working camera with a lens and a battery. The price seemed way to good to be true, seriously $150-$200 less then any where local, so as long as I got a working camera I figured the poor customer service reviews couldn't be that bad.

I placed the order and called right away to confirm (I know mailorder, and doing that will speed up your order as much as 3 days). I was on hold for half an hour then they transfered me to someone who tried to sell me more stuff, I said know and confirmed that the item was in stock and that my info was correct. 7 days latter I receive a cancellation email saying it is out of stock, and blaming the bad economy, whatever that has to do with it.

I was never charged for it so no harm was really done. The only good thing that came of this is that a better camera went on sale at Newegg.com for less money! I ordered that and was very happy with their service."

"I ordered an Olympus E-510 2 lens kit plus a 2GB compact flash card from US1camera/photo back in May of 2008. They had the best price of any online store that I could find, and I had been doing research and shopping for this particular kit for a few months at that point in time. My order was placed and shipped on the same day (the 27th) and was received not long after that.

I would have no problem recommending them to a friend to purchase from as I had absolutely no problems from them. The package was packed well and arrived in a timely manner.

"Ordered a UK£500 lens from this company based in the US beacause it cost the equivalent of £260 and came with UV filter, cleaning stuff and padded case. Had to email/fax over copies of both sides of my credit card and passport which seemed a little odd but considering it was being delievered to a friends address in the US, fair enough for security.

Spoke to them by phone to confirm all in order, goods arrived but courier did not follow instructions which caused some confusion, I do not believe this was their fault.
