"1/5/2009 To my surprise, I had a personal call from Thomas apologizing for the service I received. He admitted to slow delivery and poor response from CS. He did say they lost a distributor shortly before my order so the D90 body was hard to find. As a token of further appreciation he is sending me an extra battery for the camera. While this did not change the problems on the order, I did appreciate the personal contact to apologize and recognize the problems. Maybe they will get their act together.
"Not ever again! After reading all the reviews on this site, I wonder if I ordered from the same company. My order for a D90 at a very low price, was placed on 11/22 and arrived in SC on 12/15. Yes, it was free shipping which may be the clue to poor service. When I ordered, it was clear that it would take 48 hrs for the order to clear and 7-9 days to recieve. I received the email asking me to call to confirm on 11/23 which I did that day. CC was charged on 11/24. I did not try to contact for shipping date until the 9 days were up from 11/24. That was 12/9. I began calling a few days later and when I did get though, the words were it's in the warehouse, I'll send them an email to respond to you. That happened twice. On the third time, 12/10, they said if not received by 12/12, which they called the 9th day, to contact again. Late Friday, the 9th, I finally received an email that it had been shipped, "Next day air"!! It arrived late Monday the 15th. Camera is a dream, in original packing, etc. So, was the low price worth it? I suggest if you wish to order from them, pay the $25 which is the lowest cost above free, or go somewhere else. I surely will. I see the same camera now for about the same price from my old and reliable standby, B&H. ""
"Ordered a LCD TV and can't seem to track the TV anywhere. Tried calling them but the average hold time is like 45 minutes if you're lucky. You get the same BS about the high volume of calls. I been on hold for 2 days and still no sign of the TV. I expected the TV before Christmas, but they screwed me good. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS VENDOR. Must have the worst customer support from any retailer I've seen. If I had came accross this site before, would have never ordered from them."
"Count me among the VERY DISSATISFIED! I attempted to purchase a Canon G10 on 12/19/08. A day or so later, a US1Photo rep. called me to try to hawk accessories (battery, SD cards, etc.). I told him no thanks. He warned that it would probably take nine days for delivery, and asked if I had any questions. I said no. He asked if I was sure I didn't want a spare battery. I said no to the battery. He just hung up. Today, 21 Dec., I received the following e-mail canceling my order:
"Due to the limited access / excessive orders your order will be canceled at this time : We apologize for the inconvenience: **NOTE full refund will be issued in 4-5days...."
Don't do business with this company!
UPDATE:
Now it is 3 January: Still no refund after 12 days. No response to my inquiry. Let me repeat: DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!"
"They failed to ship my TV order from them, But they did charge my credit card. After waiting weeks for them to ship my TV with no success I cancelled my order. Now they are not providing a refund of my order. It has been 5 days since I cancelled my order and there is no sign of the refund (dispite their emails). Their customer service is almost impossible to bet ahold of. I will never order from US1Photo again and I will advise as much people as I can not to ever deal with them."
"Showed in stock when it was ordered... I got a high pressure sales call to but extra stuff within days and when I refused they waited until just before Christmas to cancel my order. If you don't buy their other overpriced items you will not get what you order... AVOID THIS COMPANY"
"Don't trust these people; hand's-down the worst experience I've ever had with an online seller. My order wasn't ever shipped; it's a nightmare trying to get through to them; I got one excuse after another and finally ended up having to cancel the order and scramble to try to replace it, four days before Christmas. I can't believe they're even allowed to stay in business. I agree with the other reviewers who wrote that all those glowing reviews are probably the work of the employees themselves. "I had read other reviews about many shipping problems with the free shipping so I paid extra for the 4 to 6 days shipping. Ordered a Nikon D40 on 12/13/08, received an email late at night on 12/18/08, a full 4 business days later, telling me that I had to call to confirm the order. It was clear it would not be delivered on time. Finally was able to talk to someone on 12/21/08 and was told that they would not fulfill the order because their wholesaler wouldn't provide it at the price I had ordered it at. I cancelled the order. Only good thing is they did not charge my credit card.
Update Jan 13: On December 30 I received a call from US1 Photo customer service. They expressed apologies for not fulfilling my order, said it was the fault of their wholesaler. As their way of apology they sent me a free 2G memory card. I give them credit for following up and I feel better that there is someone there looking at what is going on, but improving their process is what is really needed."
"The price was not to be beat anywhere. Black friday sale. There customer service and sales staff is hard to reach. Most times I waited 20 to 30 minutes. I even called so early I had to be one of their first call. But the message said as before “we are experiencing a larger than normal calling volume at this time”. I ordered my camera at 4 pm on on Sunday night, and waited 20 minutes for someone to answer. Normally I would have hung up but the price was so low I waited it out. When I finally got through the salesman was a slick dude. I made sure I was ordering a USA camera not an Import because he was pushing the Import. They claim to take 2-3 days to process but if I upgrade to 3 Day Select I would receive my camera on that Friday. This is a rip off. I did receive an Email from them that Thursday night. This was the only corespondance I received after placing my order. It provided shipping & tracking information, and also indicated the point of origin was Linden, NJ. They tell you it’s in stock but the product always seems to be shipped from a location unknown to them. They don’t stock anything I found. They appear to be pulling hardware from a distribution network. Now the adventure begins when camera arrives as promised on Friday. The manufactures box which the camera was packed in was for a kit. I had ordered a body only. I opened the box to find a camera body. I went to plug in the battery charger and the power cord said on a marking label EU (european power). Next I scurried through the paper work and warranty information and there was no reference to an USA Warranty or the Manufacturer’s Warranty card which I’ve always got before. It gets worst the box had a new bar code label over the Manufacture’s marking re-identifying the camera as a USA model. On Monday morning I got the direct phone number to the sales Supervisor. He did a little soft shoe, and spewed out some double talk. He also tried to convince me to keep the import camera and he would take some money off. I told him no thanks , I want a USA model. He agreed to send me new camera , but after they got the first one back. No problem, they Email'd me a UPS return label. Monday afternoon into UPS it went, and guess what? They received it the very next day. On Tuesday they said it had to be shipped from another warehouse. The following thurday night like clockwork at 7pm I received an email from them and a UPS tracking # regarding the shipment and Guess what? I recieved it again on Friday. This one was ok. I will never purchase from them again. BEWARE"
"Ordered a Nikon D300 with 18-200 MM lens on 11/23/08 with 9 day free shipping. Received a call to confirm my shipping address soon after along with email. Confirmed address with caller. Credit card charged on 11/28/08. No email on shipment notification. No ability to contact Customer service after waiting on hold for 40 mins each time. Website indicates that item has been sent to be dropshipped. Does not say from where or when. Letter sent to Bruce at US1 on 12/15/08 to cancel order if not able to fill. No reply yet. Will be contacting my credit card company to cancel charges within 24 hours. Will definitely not buy anything here, regardless of price"
"I can only agree with most of the negative reviews stated below. BEWARE! I ordered a camera package on November 21 and after 3 weeks of patiently waiting, grew weary. I called and got the same run around with customer service long hold times. Finally got through to 'Bobby' who promised promised promised to get my order expidited by Friday (today). Got in this evening, NO package/Camera. It would seem from looking at the reviews below that this company has the finest collection of photographs of electronic equipment/cameras etc... NONE OF WHICH ARE IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP. I called to cancel and urge anyone considering "saving" a few dollars, to reconsider with a reputable online electronics store, NOT THIS ONE.

"Ordered Canon 40d Body only w/ USA warranty from them on 12/08. Selected 4-6 day ground shipping. Got a call from them and a polite but harried sale person offered me a CF card, a better battery (he said that the stock battery lasts only 1 hour), and extended protection. (Note, you can get these items much cheaper from Amazon) I declined all the offers. Received the camera by UPS AIR on 12/19. That's a bit longer than 6 days. It turns out that not only free shipping orders, but ALL ground shipped orders take extra 3-4 days of processing. This is not mentioned on the order web page, but buried somewhere on their Company policy page. I WOULD SUGGEST the company folks update their order page, it will save some grief both for them and for the customers. Got me worried for a bit as I needed the camera by the weekend. I'm happy it made it just in time.
It worth mentioning that the camera I received was in a 40d Kit box with the lens removed. It does not really bother me as I got a good price for it. Would I order from them again? Probably yes as long as there is plenty of time to wait for the order to be processed and shipped."
"I ordered a Nikon D60, body only (w/accessories) on the 28th of November, in time for Christmas, or so I thought. After being put on hold for an interminable amount of time, I was finally told that UPS sent the package back as damaged. Nobody emailed me with a tracking number or any other information. Today, they tell me that they are having problems with their drop-shipper and can't give me a tracking number. They promised delivery by Christmas, but I don't believe them. This is the WORST COMPANY TO DO ONLINE BUSINESS WITH. I will NEVER order anything from Us1Photo again. Unlike all the other companies I've ordered from, Us1Photo employees are unable or unwilling to provide a baseline of customer service or customary e-commerce, such as providing tracking numbers or notifying the customer of delays. Slip-shod service at its worst, simply abysmal."
"I placed an order for Sony Alpha 350 camera on 12/9/08 for a Chritmas gift. I called them on 12/15/08 to check the status of the order since I had not received any follow up emails after the initial confirmation one. The customer service rep said everything looked fine, and I should receive the camera around 12/23/08. Yesterday afternoon, 12/18/08, I receive an email saying my order was cancelled due to 'Due to the limited access / excess order we cannot fulfill your order for the holiday season and apologize for the inconvenience: **NOTE No charges have been made (a2895).' So within 4 days, my order went from fine to canceled. This is not very good customer service. The rep should have told me on Monday when I called that the order would not be fulfilled. So today, I ordered the camera through B&H photo and had to pay $35 for shipping in order to receive it before Christmas. Thanks for nothing us1camera, I will not be purchasing anything else from you in the future. But hey, at least they had not charged me yet. I guess I can give them that. :-("
