AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE A PLAGUE-RIDDEN CORPSE. These guys are real shady characters. I placed an order for a Samsung LN40A650 HDTV on Dec. 03, 2008 for $1225.00 and free shipping. My credit card was billed the next day. Got a call from Alex several days later saying they've been having problems with US Postal shipping. Was asked if I minded going with UPS shipping where US1Photo/US1Camera would pay the shipping, if I would just pay the additional $50.00 insurance. Was told I should expect shipment by the 17th of Dec. at the latest. The 17th came and went. Called their practically non-existent customer service, after leaving a message on Alex's extension with no response. At one point stayed on the line for over an hour before my call was dropped by their "customer service" cue. Called their sales dept. and finally spoke to Alex who said, "they were having a real hard time getting these TVs from their wholesaler," although their website lists them as being in stock. He said I should have the TV by the first week of Jan. 2009…which, came and went. Called their sales dept. again. I said I was interested in their Samsung TV and wondered if they had any in stock. The person who answered said, "Oh, yeah! We have plenty of them available". I asked him if he could tell me then where my TV was which I had ordered over a month prior? His response was to dump me into their customer service cue. After waiting another 45 minutes, I was told by their customer service rep that their stock of these TVs had been stolen from their warehouse. When I told him what his sales associate just told me, he began to stammer. I then told him to promptly cancel my order. I only hope to see a full refund. Samsung HDTV...$1225.00; UPS shipping insurance...$50.00; a ruined Christmas, no TV and the aggravation of waiting hours for customer service....priceless.

"I will never buy from them again! I placed my order for a Nikon D60 on November 21, the friday before thanksgiving. Not even an hour after I placed my order the price dropped by $20. I called them up to see if they would give me the difference back. The sales person said they could give me $20 in accessories but not the cash back. Then he started being very pushy, trying to get me to buy something that was more than the $20 dollars. I should have canceled my order then and there but I just declined and hung up the phone.
I selected free shipping and so I expected it to ship within a few days and with it being so near thanksgiving receive it in at least 7 business days. When I hadn't received an email confirmation of the shipment the next week I called them. It took over 30 minutes before someone answered the phone. When they finally did the guy that answered was extremely rude. He said that it would take 3-4 business days to ship even though the order confirmation said 24-72 hours. He said it should ship the day after thanks giving.
When I still had not received a shipping confirmation the next week I called them again. Another 30 minutes of my life wasted on hold. This time they said that the nikon warehouse was running behind on shipments and it would ship early the next week (Dec. 8-12).
I finally got a shipping confirmation on the 12th and received the camera on the 17th. That was 17 business days and two rude phone calls later. I can't believe the customer service was so horrible!

"US1Photo is the real deal of online Camera stores. Helpful salesmen, great prices and as promised delivery. They helped me with a camera purchase for my daughter and were patient and respectful. Just like a local camera store. I have since purchased other merchandise. You can trust this online store. You can even call and just talk camera stuff with them - very knowledgeable.

"I had a very bad experience with us1camera. I ordered a Canon XSi camera and a Canon 28-135 IS lens because the price was the best I could find. After the order had been placed for a week my order status still said "New Order." I tried calling multiple times and coincidentally the wait time to talk to someone was ALWAYS 20+ minutes. The status was finally changed to "Billing Verification," and after almost a week and a half since the order was placed I received an email telling me the camera and lens I ordered was out of stock. The email explained that it would be weeks before it was in stock again and surprisingly said that they were canceling my order. If they wanted to make a sale, why wouldn't they just keep me back-ordered? The whole thing was very shady and a big waste of time. There was essentially no customer service. I wouldn't recommend using us1camera.com to anyone!"

"My experience with US1Camera (aka US1Photo) wasn't flawless, but it was accommodating. I ordered a Canon XSi during a pre-black Friday sale, so the price of the camera was a steal (figuratively speaking). Unlike other retailers, US1Camera didn't slash the price by selling the body of the camera only. It was the real deal, base lens included (meaning I wasn't going to have to place another order just to use the camera). Unfortunately, the deal was so good that by the time my order was processed, their inventory had been depleted of the product. Good for them, bad for me. I immediately got a call from the head huncho, Bruce. He regretfully informed me that they had oversold the black model, but that they still had the silver model in stock. To rectify the inconvenience, he offered me a couple of extras for free and a discounted warranty, if I wanted it. I was a bit irked, but appreciated the "human" aspect he brought to the situation.
Unfortunately, my order must have gotten buried because days went by and no tracking information showed up in my e-mail. I called Bruce back and was handed off to a customer service representative, Durian. She apologized for what happened, but once again had good news to make me feel better about the situation. They had received a shipment of black cameras and would be able to fulfill my original order, with the extras still included. I told her that I was still concerned because I needed the camera in three days because I was leaving for to go over seas. I had purchased the camera specifically for that trip. She promised that I would get it the next day and immediately scheduled it for overnight shipping. The next day, it arrived.
My experience with US1Camera wasn't perfect. But they didn't stop working to get me the product I ordered and make me a satisfied customer. I never got that cold feeling that you get from many other online stores. I would order there again (hopefully without the song and dance)."
"Stay away from this scam house. They engage in practice identical to other scammers reported on this site, which is to take an item, take out crucial parts like the charger, and then make you go through a high-pressure sales call meant to force you to buy the missing parts from them."
"I placed my order for a Canon 40d with a non-kit lens in early December with the free shipping option.
I called the next day to confirm my "high value purchase." They offered a "special deal" on filters and a battery and tried to mislead me about the performance of the original batter, claiming that it only lasted two hours. I found a similar battery to the one they were offering at 1/4 the price at another site. I declined their offers and that was that.. they were not pushy.
They charged my credit card immediately.
The really tough part - the customer service. I called them a half-dozen times of so. The phone extension I was given in an email didn't work. Each time I waited about an hour before speaking to a representative. More often than not, they were short, rude, and unhelpful. One of the issues was my fault - I needed to change my shipping address. Oddly, this is when they were most helpful. The other issues were their fault - my order status was still not at "shipped" until about ten business days until after I placed my order, despite their website's claim of 2-3 days of processing and their initial verbal claim that I would probably receive my order within five business days. Despite my best efforts to maintain a friendly conversation (I knew from other reviews that they have a tendency to be rude), at least one representative had a bullying-tone from the get-go and derided me for choosing the free shipping option.
With their fine-print deadline on the horizon, they paid for two-day shipping and the package arrived. The slightly-damaged camera box was for an imported camera + kit lens. The kit lens, which I did not order, was not there. Everything I did expect to be in the box was there. The camera didn't have any protective coverings and the battery was half-charged, so I suspected use. However, the camera is in great shape and it meets its performance specs as far as I can tell. They also included a USA warranty card, even though I accidentally ordered a camera without a warranty. I do not know yet whether or not the warranty will cover my imported camera. The lens appears new and in perfect condition. I was also glad to see that it was made in Japan and not one of the copies from Taiwan, which are apparently more likely to be defective.
In the end, I've got the camera-lens combination that I wanted and it is performing as well as I expected. If the warranty card works, then I saved almost $200 compared to B&H and Amazon. But there's more to life than saving money and I regret that the biggest contribution I made to our struggling economy this year is to a somewhat sketchy online store with poor customer service.

"Be wary of buying from this company. They are EXTREMELY slow and their customer service is terrible. I ordered a camera for my husband for Christmas on Dec 1st thinking that I should have no problem receiving it before Christmas. On Dec 2nd I also received the upselling call. I was told that it would be no problem to get me the camera before Christmas. After a week of sitting in processing I emailed them asking what was going on. I got no response. But I realized that my order status changed to shipped...after another week of not receiving a tracking number I contacted my sales person. He gave me a tracking number and I was able to track my package. I received it on Dec 23rd. Talk about cutting it close! I would be wary of them...it should not take 23 days to send a camera that is in stock on the website. Anyway, the customer service is bad. If you CAN get in touch with them they may be helpful but I have never been successful in trying to get in touch by the info on their website and now my salesmen is also ignoring me. The camera itself appears to be in good condition and was in the original packaging. But I wasn't at all impressed and will not buy from them again and I will not recommend them to anyone."

"Deceptive pricing and terrible customer service experience.
I had to call in to confirm my order the day after ordering.
I was upset I was put on hold for 5 minutes while confirming the order, after telling Bobby (ext 337) that I didn't want to add memory or extended service.
I was more upset to hear that there would be a 3% charge to the order, which was never mentioned in the cart or email confirmation.
When I heard this I asked Bobby to cancel the order.
I just called again to confirm cancellation, and was disappointed in Bobby's tone and demeanor.
It was strikingly unprofessional and discourteous.
He went on to ask if I had a wife and asked how old I am and implied I was immature because I hadn't read the terms and agreement and hung up on him once when I felt he was being very unhelpful.
It was the worst customer service experience I have ever experienced."
"Sony Camcorder was stated "in stock" on website, so I placed the order as a Christmas gift. Having purchased from these 'type' of stores online before, I called so I could bypass the 2-day later call to upsell me. I finished placing the order and then began my wait. I called back Dec 15th (10 business days later) and they explained to me that their policy is to take 2-weeks just to process the order and then I would receive my tracking number with the ETA of delivery. The camera arrived on the Dec 19th, too bad I left to visit family for Christmas on the 18th. I got what I ordered at a good price, however they were very dishonest about "in stock". They obviously have no inventory and are cross shipping products. This is not a bad business model, but they should be upfront about how long orders will take to be delivered."
"Please use this shop if you would like to have your Christmas ruined. Placed an order on 12/4/08 for D90 camera - was supposed to be Xmas present for my wife. Credit card got charged on the 12/05/08. Online order displayed: Sent Out To Be Dropshipped. After 3 weeks began to worry so I gave them a call on Dec 22. After 40 minutes getting throuth they are telling me that they have no idea (!!!) where is my package. No tracking number, nothing. Was told by customer service rep. "Dominique" that they are going to overnigt me my package and sort out what happened with lost one later. 25-th - no package. Another 40 minutes on hold, finally got through to "James". (Sounded like the same guy though). He is telling me that UPS lost (!) the package, but it was insured so they are investigating it and are going to overnight it to me on the 26-th. Canceled the order today and going to local retailers to get my wife the camera. Have to ask myself, was trying to save a hundred bucks worth it?"
