"I regret having to do this review since this will probably loose me the allegedly promised rebate forever. Unfortunately my experience with this store has proven less than satisfactory. Starting with :
I ordered a Canon XL2 plus one of the premium packages (at a price tag just over U$3600)
1. They somehow managed to get my credit card payment transaction messed up, so I could not use my credit card for the transaction. (Despite some very specific email instructions to their rep.) I was forced to use my wifes credit card, which eventually did go through. (of the same account)
2. Even if an accessory is put with Canon branded stuff, unless it specifically specifies the brand of the accessory do not assume that it is the same brand. I guess this is my stupidity, but I believe that they should have stipulated the brands of the accessories, as I was kinda expecting them to be Canon (especially the lenses) as this is important to me.
3. At least it would seem the packages did arive and in one piece, with everything working, so nothing to complain about here.
4. Unfortunately this does not speak for their aftersales service which is completely nonexistent. This together with the fact that I was promise a U$300 rebate voucher in the box (both on their website at point of sale as well as by their sales rep (Alex) when I spoke to him to place the order.. (which never arrived despite the fact that the packages arrived sealed with no evidence of tampering (even by Customs)
5. I sent them and email to let them know which went ignored for about 2 weeks. I resent the email, and got a response which said that they would help. They subsequently sent me an email version of the rebate voucher, however as it turns out I made my purchase in January, and the voucher was only valid effective 1 April. (note that in all my communcations I refered to the order number they gave me when I placed the order so not room for confusion there, I think) So completely useless to me. I replied to them (by email) and queried this on 4 March 2008. and resent the email for a second time on 8 April. However till now 21 April 2008, I am still being ignored flat, with seemingly no interest whatsoever in my problem.
I guess I have to write of the U$300 and let everyone know to be careful when dealing with this company. You probably won't get everything they promised, and do not expect to get any aftersales service from this company. It simply does not exist.

"Ordered a Pentax K20d body with free shipping, "7-9 business day ground." It was shown as in stock when I ordered. I placed the order early on the 2nd, before the business day began.

I received a call that day to double check that I had added my shipping address as an alternate address on my credit card, which I had. During the call I was told it would ship that day. I called on the 10th to see why my order hadn't shipped. The customer service person said they were waiting for it to come in stock and would ship that day or the next morning. I called again on the 14th, and was told that it had just come in stock on Friday, and would ship that day or the next.
On the 15th I did get the shipping notice. They also upgraded it to 3 day shipping at no extra charge, and I received the order on the 18th. They didn't charge my credit card until the order shipped.

There was apparently some error with the website where my order increased by $20 (but didn't show on my original invoice) and got upgraded to a kit deal, though worth a fair bit more than that. It was all fairly confusing at the time, but I talked to the manager after posting my original review and got some things cleared up, and he agreed to let me keep the extra stuff because of the error. He also said he would talk to the CSRs about not saying something would ship unless they were sure it would.

I'm happy with the transaction despite the delay and will be checking them again when I need more equipment

"Company Inventory system needs work. Had ordered a Sony A-300K on Sunday with free shipping at a price much less than SonyStyle was offering. Waited until Friday to contact CS about the order status. Was informed that the camera was sold out. I was not offered a rain-check at the order price and they tried to sell me on the A-350K upgrade less small store credit, it would not have covered two-day shipping. The upgrade price was not competitive to other online retailers and neither was not what I was interested in. My other option was to cancel the order and obtain a full refund (to their credit, my CC had not yet been charged). I am disappointed since they were not willing to honor their order, but suspect 1) their offer price was either a typo or 2) they underestimated demand and now believe they can sell the camera for much more. Their last advertised price for the A-300 was thirty dollars higher than the SonyStyle price. Not likely I would order from them again. Even at a better purchase price it is not worth the stress of order fulfillment and/or warranty anxiety. If you do buy from them, would suggest calling in the order and verbally verifying inventory, shipping date, and shipment content."

"The customer # ***-***-**** which is on the webpage and was provided with the confirmation letter by email is N O T working.
Am unable to get a hold of any one. Credit Card charges are being proccessed. Tried to cancel by email several times. No resonse as of yet.
Can not recommend. Try to call first before you place an online order.

"Bought a Sony a700 dSLR from them and was please with the transaction. Price was unmatched, free shipping as well! There is a charge for expedited shipping but the free shipping on my order was UPS ground so that's not too bad. Order arrived with 7-10 days from the time I clicked the buy button. I'll definitely look to them in the future for camera needs."

"I've read all the horrow stories about ordering on the internet but after shopping around locally I went with my gut feeling that US 1 Camera had a legitimate low price and wouldn't be one of those scam outfits. I was right. They sent me my Sony Camcorder when they said they would and even exchanged a battery that I ordered in the Package Kit to an upgraded Sony battery. Very satisfied with this transaction. Would not hesitate in ordering from them again."

"Buggy website: it is impossible to edit address.
Inaccurate information in status update emails.
Very slow shipping&handling, in particular they are going to give you hard time if you ship to non-billing address. They do not warn you about it at the time of order placement.
However, every time I called (and I had to call multiple times) support was very helpful, considering, and willing to resolve the issues.

"The item was out of stock initially, but came in monday. THey CALLED me to say that the item came in and it had shipped. Shipping was very fast and free with a tracking number. The salesmen were slightly salesmanlike, but friendly and took no for an answer. The product was exactly as expected and works flawlessly. I could not be happier with the transaction. "I just place the order for a Canon EOS 1D mark III. And I check online through pricegrabber, and as usual, I checked here first to make sure I don't buy from the "true good to be true" dealers. Then I went to my favorite photography forum site and check the review there. Everything came out clean, except the story I heard about how they make a good deal by splitting a camera kit and sell them separately. And because I only buy the camera, I didn't think it matter much. So I took the plunge and order it for a little over $3,800. Which is at least $200 cheaper than most other know reputable company. I ordered it online and I select free shipping.(be warn, this will add a tremendous delay on the order, and they do state that about 2-3 extra business days before then have your order processed and shipped.) Another thing you might want to consider is to print out the page that you type in the comment/special instruction, as it will not show on the order review page(last page after you submit), order confirmation(in email) or invoice. So If you very do have special instruction, PRINT IT OUT.
3 Business days later, my item got shipped.
and about a week later, I got my new camera. The same way as I would expect from other online company. The box is retail, the warranty is good(registered fine on Canon website). One little thing that kinda caught me off guard is that they said they double box all their item. Well, what they mean by that is 1 brown box covering a retail box with barely adequate padding. My box look like it have a little bump sticking out. But once open, the retail box look fine. Look new, and nothing appear to be damage. But that would discourage me from buying something like a camera lens. Other than that, nothing to complain about. They even thrown in a little camera cleaning kit, which is kinda useless to me, in the box for free.
The price is cheap, and the product is legit, not a fake or gray model. If the price is right, I would buy it from them again, but nothing fragile.

"After having some issues with the purchase of a defective lens, although slow in the processing and return shipping of a good lens, their customer service has been able to turn around my experience with a personal call from the store owner Kevin. As mentioned companies strive to be perfect but bumps on the road will happen luckily they will bend over backwards to please their customers to build loyalty.

"I saw the lowest price on my Sony HD9 camcorder on this site was really worried about getting the bait and swtich treatment. I went along with the reviews on this site and it seemed like they would be legit. After placing my order on a Friday night, I recieved a call on Tuesday confirming my order. They did try to upsell me some lenses, but it only took one "no" for them to move on and complete my order. It shipped the next day and should arrive by Tuesday (I got a UPS tracking number.) The shipping was free. So if the camera arrives in good order, I have saved nearly $200 off of prices on other sites besides the bait and switch ones that I avoided. The friendly service I recieved would make me order from them again. I will update when I actually recieve my camera.

Update: I received my camera ahead of schedule, new, in box, no parts missing. It worked perfectly and I have filmed several weddings with it since. I was so skeptical ordering from US1camera but everything went without a hitch. I will definitely order from them again.
