"I ordered for the 1rst time to US1Camera. I ordered a Nikon D300 with USA warranty for a great price + free shipping. They called me to confirm the address, not even tried to sell anything, very courteous vendor. Received the camera + warranty even before the expected date. The owner called me once again today and wanted to let me know that they had hired a few more individuals to help with providing the customer service that would be classified as acceptable. This was do to the review you see below.

If anyone thinks that the power of the Internet is not existent your wrong. This is a great place or tool to make your statements so that you can be heard. I only hope that other company’s can learn from this, because this is a positive outcome.

I received a call from, as he said, one of the owners. Apologizing for the poor customer service I received and that they would improve on providing better customer service. I hope he’s truly sorry for the lack of customer service and that they will improve.

Like I said great prices, poor customer service.

If anyone wants to know I received my very nice camera bag/ backpack in a timely manner.

My Original Posting:

I ended up placing two different orders over a weekend with this company. One was for a nice camera and the other was for a camera case. Thinking that I spent a good dollar amount on the camera and placed that order first they would have ran my credit card for the first order.

Nope, they ran it for the cheaper item. So by the time they ran my credit card for the more expensive item like 30 seconds after the first run their system declined it. I personally have never seen this happen before as I fill both of my vehicles up right after each other and use the same credit card at the same gas station.

Trust me I have more then enough room for purchases on that card.

Like being put on hold for ever? This online store is great for putting you on hold and about 50% of the time they don’t come back to you. I called this company in one day four times. I had been put on hold over 41 minutes long one time, nice customer services. I hung up the first time to call my credit card company and ask if there were any transaction problems. They said nope, and that both charges went fine.

I could not understand why my account said, “declined” for the order. So I call customer service once again got a hold of a person after a 23 minute hold time. I asked the gentleman on the phone why my order was declined and he tried to tell me to call my bank because the one order was so large in dollar amount that the bank most likely did not accept it.

I told him that I already called my credit card company and they said everything was fine. He had no answer for me and then transferred me to billing, which I was placed on hold again for another 10 minutes. Finally after 10 extra minutes of hold time I talked with a lady from billing and she said she would call the bank, Credit Card Company, and find out what happened then call me back. I even gave her the phone number on the back of my credit card so she would not have to look for it.

More then four hours had passed and no call. I called back again was put on hold forever and then hung up called my credit card company and asked if anyone had called about my account, and the answer was, No. I then called customer service at US1Camera.com again and was put on hold for over 41 minutes. I hung up and called back again.

This time I asked for a manager/ supervisor from the sales department. The manager from sales transferred me to the billing manager. I told him what happened and he said because I placed two orders and they tried to run my card twice in a row caused “their” system to decline it and that he or they would call the bank/ credit card company to fix it.

Still waiting on word to find out what’s going on with my orders. They have great prices but www.US1Camera.com or www.US1Photo.com has very poor customer service. Just keep that in mind if you need to call them with any problems with your order.

I’m so disappointed.

"I wanted to buy a Canon HG10 camcorder because my daughter was just about to have a baby. I started researching vendors and found that the reviews were terrible for all the vendors I checked. Most sites had a bunch of bad reviews for things like selling grey market items without saying they were, calling a few days after the order and trying to stong arm you into buying no-name, overpriced accessories and then telling you the camera was out of stock and would not be in for 4 weeks if you did not buy them, and some things worse than that. I was beginning to fear I would not be able to find anyone to buy from. Finally I checked US1 Camera. I started out looking at the bad reviews and found many of the same problems, but then I noticed that most all of the bad reviews were from 3-4 years ago. I decided to call. I had a whole list of questions written down to ask: Is it new? - yes. Is it grey market? - no. Does it have a US warranty?-yes. Will you be calling in a few days to try to get me to buy accessories? - no. Is it in stock? - yes. I talked to Jessica (ext 888). She was very pleasant and assured me that I would experience none of the problems I had read about. I ordered the camcorder on Thursday, February 14 and paid a little extra for 2nd day air. That would get the camcorder to me by Monday, February 18 since UPS does not deliver on weekends. Sure enough, the camcorder showed up right on time. Everything was as Jessica said it would be, and I never got any after-sale calls. I would highly recommend this vendor"

"Purchased a Canon EOS 1D MarkIII from us1photo and wanted to give them positive marks for a job well done. No high pressure sales and my order was processed in a timely manner. Prior to ordering I called and spoke to Shawn in customer service and he assured me that the gear was not grey market and came with the Canon USA warranty. They had the best price and their service was excellent. I recommend them and will buy from them again!"

"Ordered a canon 40D w/ 28-135mm kit lens because us1photo has the lowest price that I could find online (except for those bait and switch stores, but we all know what their deals are). Since my billing addr. differs from my shipping addr., I was asked by us1photo to contact my credit card company to add an "alternate shipping address" to my credit card profile s.t. they wouldn't have to delay my credit card verification. It's a bit of a hassle for me but it really shows that us1photo is trying their best to prevent fraud orders. One thing I'm not extremely happy about was that, I placed my order on monday, the status became "Ready To Be Shipped" on tuesday, and remained that until friday. I was wondering why they would keep it "ready" but not just ship it, so I called them on Friday monday to see if there's anything wrong; was told that nothing was wrong, and the order shipped about 4 hours later. And I got my 40D in my hands the next monday. (All new US model with US warranty, as advertised.) So, it took them 4 days to ship and took ups 1 day to deliver. Not as fast as newegg but since I had the free 7-9 business days shipping, I really cannot and should not complain. Plus, they threw in a lens cleaning kit as a little bonus gift which is really nice. In all, it's good experience and I'll definitely do business with us1photo again, and will recommend it to my friends."

"had issues with the original order based on the salesperson and customer service person both not noticing a character after the .com in the e-mail address. As a result, my shipment was made without my camera. Originally, extremely upset. Spoke today with Kevin in customer service who guranteed to have it here tomorrow and to make up for it. Assuming that goes well, I will be satisfied. Hated the original outcome, but the customer service was great if it all pans out in the end."

"I purchases a Nikon D80 at a great price from them. They did have some upsells that they didnt have to many problems with you saying no to. I go the camera as advertised for the price I agreed to. Now (a day after I got the camera) I decided I wanted a few accessories. I checked around and they had good prices with free shipping on the 2 accessories I wanted (a wireless remote and a MB-D80 battery grip). I placed my order and now I'll just wait to see if I get it. "I ordered a Canon Camera SD950IS. I found the lowest price here with free shipping. After looking at the rating, I felt confident and ordered it. It was the most easy process ever I have seen. I got the email confirming the order. I was looking for the catch whether they needed me to call them back for credit card verification, so that they can up-sell things to me. But it was not there. No instruction to call them back. I was happy.

I was informed in the email that, it would take 4 days to process the order and 7-9 days to get my camera through free ground shipping.

And I got my camera on 12th of March. And also they threw in a bonus of lens cleaning kit with it. A good surprise and excellent customer service.

I would definitely shop with them in future and I highly recommend them!

"I found the cheapest lens (Sigma 18-200 for Canon) online at US1Camera (though there were the couple of fake ones that I decided to avoid as their reviews were bad), and decided to purchase it. I got a mail asking to call in since I was in India (though shipping to a US address). The person I spoke to - Kevin, was very helpful and finished the transaction quickly and the item shipped the same day.

I am very happy to do business with this company as I had read of switch-and-bait among other companies, and also fraudulent usage of credit cards, etc. So I was a bit skeptical when I got a mail asking me to call back, but it was a pleasant experience when Kevin only wanted me to confirm credit card details.
