"THIS IS A HORRIBLE STORE- rude slimey sales people, contridicting information and many many lies. The sales people are pushy and ask you to upgrade but then when you wont they say that the product is unavailable (even though it would be available if you paid more) i have spent at least 15 hours on the phone or the internet trying to purchase a camera only to be quoted vastly different availabilities and prices."
"WATCH OUT FOR THESE GUYS -- they give you low prices then call you several days later trying to sell you "accessories" that should have been included in the retail package (ie. the digital camera I ordered didn't come with a battery???). I would avoid them like the plague.
On a positive note they cancelled my order immediately when I asked but I would still recommend against ordering from them."
"I attempted to buy Sony DSC-p200 digital camera. On the website it was listed for $297.00, so I called and asked if it was a retail box. I was told that it was and I ordered it the same day. The following day I received a call from an agent asking if I want a quick charger or extended life batteries. I said that I wanted a standard reatail box. Fifteen minutes later a received shipping confirmation for the advanced package at almost $400. I took me at least 30min to get in touch with anyone over the phone. They would answer the phone and after hearing what the problem was they would transfer me somewhere else where after 5 min of holding I was disconnected. The worst on-line store I have encountered ever!!!"
"BAIT-AND-SWITCH Scammers!! I ordered a Canon A95 Digital Camera from the USAPhotoNation.com website. Approx. two days later, I received a call from a rep who claimed that I needed to pay another $70 to obtain the owners manual, cables, software, etc. that come with the camera - basically that the camera would not come in the box. The site says nothing about this, of course, and I told the guy that this was an illegal bait-and-switch. I've reported this vendor to my State Attorney General's office, who stated that they are looking into other complaints. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!"
"Quoted good price and shipping on internet. They then called and said I must pay an additional $69 for instructions, manufacturers warranty software and cables. I cancelled order. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM! "
"The customer support was so helpful in helping me find the camera that they helped me out pick up a valued high speed memory card for a deep discount price almost for free...lol. He gave me a free case and explained to me in full detail the remarkable extended warranty in which i actually i got a 5 year warranty for the 3 year warranty. I got free shipping too and it came in 2 days after ordering on the internet..."
"Hey this store is very reliable and has extremly low prices for great camera's, t.v's and audio equipment. I recently just recevied a sony p-200 from them and the camera works great i had no problems and i recieved the camera on time. I recommend this store to anyone who likes great prices for great products."
"i recommend usa photonation. it was easy access, got what i wanted, didnt have any problems with the purchase. the camera is in brand new condition and works great. "
"This started as an American model Nikon D70s, when I attempted to buy it. Then as time progresses it became a gray market, then the body only no accessories, then I was warned that I had to download the camera controls in English but they did not know what language the menus were in. Over the course of a few days the item was always listed online as in stock. When I persisted in ordering the body and would not order the battery or any of their outragously overpriced extras that should come in the box from them they said OK and the next day I got an email that it was out of stock. These are nothing but bait and switch thieves. If you have an order with them cancel it and watch your credit card bill closely."
"I wish I were in law enforcement so I could personally arrest everyone who works for that company. It is a giant scam. You cannot buy a product at the listed price unless you buy the highly priced accessories. . I had the same experience everyone else had. Also, they took the items out of the kit (memory, warranty, strap) and tried to sell them to me separately.
I ordered an A95 at a great price stating on my order that "this is a new camera?". Sure enough, I got the phone calls and emails saying I needed to contact them. Once on the phone, they said it was new, but wanted me to buy the strap, memory, etc. I said "oh, you got me". Sure enough, I later got the back order email. Thankfully I was able to cancel my order.
There have been 4 good reviews on this company in the last week which finally made me post on here. Clearly someone from this scam company is posting.
Avoid this company at all cost.

"I just bought my first digital camera from these guys and they were extremely helpful. joey helped me figure out what I needed to take the pictures I wanted and got me fast shipping and better memory card. usa photonation made this experience very non stressful and easy even for me, a complete novice."
"Do not do business with these people. They prey on the unsuspecting and unknowledgable. I placed my order and two days later received an email that they were trying to contact me and that I should call their 800 number. When I called, the guy stated that there was a problem with my order....I didn't purchase any memory. I responded that it wasn't an oversight, I already have memory from my old camera that will fit this one. The guy then proceeded to offer a membership in their "frequent purchasing program" for only $60, which would take 10% off of my purchase. I declined. He then stated that he had an accessory kit on sale for $40 that included batteries, a case, plus expedited shipping. He said he could ship it out that day and get it to me in 2 days. I declined. He then says "All your gonna get is an empty shell of a camera" which I say is fine. He then hangs ups on me. Not 5 minutes later I get the dreaded email, "Due to heavy volume, your order has been placed on backorder for 4-6 weeks". How's that for being able to ship it out "that day." Cancelled my order and will never do business with them again."
"Bait and switch artists. If you make an online purchase your will be instructed to call someone with photo nation. If the deal is too good to be true it is too good to be true. If you want to feel foolish, let your need for a good deal drag you into this awkward relationship with this vendor."
"these guys are awful. First of all, they are clearly creating false evaluations to buoy all of the terrible ones that are, based on my experience, completely authentic. Just as everyone says, if you don't order accessories (which are GROSSLY overpriced), you will receive an e-mail from them detailing a backorder of 4-6 weeks. Even if you are not in a rush and can wait for this amount of time to elapse, don't hold your breath; it won't arrive. I called back pretending to be a new customer, asking explicitly if the camera was in their warehouse available to ship. The rep replied that it was. When I then revealed myself and asked why I hadn't received my order, the rep, Jack, pretended that the phone connection went bad and he was unable to hear me. He then hung up. I have even filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, and spoken with the service manager at USA Photonation, and he keeps making stuff up. Says Nikon shorts them on quantities leaving them no choice but to back order. They're all liars, and should be avoided at all costs. I hope they're prosecuted and shut down. They are not authorized Nikon dealers and have no physical address listed. This company is created to rip people off. I've done some research on this. Save yourself the hassle and buy somewhere, anywhere else."
"USA PhotoNation engages in "bait and switch" scams. They advertised one of the lowest prices for the Nikon 8800 zoom camera I came across. So I ordered the camera from them online and paid immediately using their automated check-out. I politely declined the pop-up offers of "accessories" at that time. The store then emailed and called me several times over the next week, suggesting that I needed to purchase accessories. I responded by e-mail (declining the accessories) which they ignored. They continued to call. I finally was forced to call them in New York. They were quite rude during this call but finally seemed to accept that I wasn't going to buy extra accessories. Guess what? A day later, I got an e-mail from USA PhotoNation claiming the camera was "out of stock" and it would take 6 weeks to ship. Of course, they never mentioned this during the days they were trying to sell me accessories. The camera has at all times remained "in stock" on their website. Clearly they have no intention of selling this camera at their advertised price unless you bundle it with overpriced and unnecessary accessories. Bait and switch is illegal. Where is Attorney General Spitzer when you need him?
To ResellerRatings.com -- Several recent reviews deserve the attention of your fraud squad--please check the bona fides of "hockeyfreak911" "ohmola" "lynhl" and "bleezabub." They don't read like real customer reviews and are weirdly similar in their express praise for "Jack." We aren't as stupid as you think we are, Jack. "
