"Their tactics haven't changed; tried to buy a Sony Cybershot camera. Got an e-mail asking me to contact them. When I did they tried to sell me extras at horribly inflated prices. Told them no and Jason hung up. Got another e-mail saying the camera was on a 4-6 week back order. Had to call and cancel. I learned they have a history of trying to charge credit cards even after cancellations. STAY AWAY from this store."
"Got an email from them two days after placing the order.

I replied the email and asked them what is all about. The email bounced back right away: cannot send email to this address! Then I tried all the email address listed on their website. This time they email back and told me they need a voice confirmation to complete the order. I called the number. They said the camera is out of stock. In stead, they have a camera kit, which cost lots more for nothing! I said no and they just hung up on me.
Now I am not sure if they have charged my credit card or not."
"I was looking for a Fuji Finepix a340, went thorugh www.pricegrabber.com, saw that USA Photo Nation had the camera for $128, only a mere DOLLAR less than the next place (that had a complete camera, of course).
I purchased the camera, recieved an email stating that there's a problem with the order, was told that "a lot of people get confused and buy this camera, but it's the "world"? model, and doesn't have anything with it. You want the US version." I was tired of waiting (had tried to buy the cam. from two places that told me 3 days after the fact that it was out of stock), wanted the GD camera, and told him, sure, whatever, just give me the right one.
So, $175 and 4 days of processing later, I am still waitng for my camera. The said they shipped it on Friday, and DHL says I should have it today, as I'm in Brooklyn.
I really wish I had seen this site beforehand. At the very least, www.pricegrabber.com should be a little more selective about the merchants they feature."
"Classic bait and switch and I fell for it. They even created a little icon, naming themselves a member of the Association of Ethical Internet Professionals (an organization which apparently does not exist). Offered the camera at $400, but if you want it to have the battery pack, charging cable and USB cable, we have a package for about twice that. What a deal! Credit where it is due, at least they call to confirm that you want the bait and then try to switch you."
"These guys are scam artists. Most of their stuff are stolen products or refurbished products packaged as new. Sales people will harass you to buy other stuff and they're very rude and unprofessional. STAY AWAY from these guys!!!"
"I only wish that I had found this web page before I did business with USAPhotoNation.com. Everything that other customers have said was true. When I called to cancel my order after seeing this web page, I was continually hung up on. Now if that didn't send me thru the roof, when I did get a hold of them, they told me I could only return my camera if I had not opened it yet and I was going to be charged a $90 restocking fee. So I kept the camera and I am taking this as a lesson learned. I hope that you don't make the same mistake I did in doing business with this company."
"I recently purchased a video camera from usaphotonation.com. The next day I received an email from them stating they needed to verify my order to please call. When I called the gentlemen I spoke with attempted to sell me additional items like filters for the camera, when I said no he told me I must not understand what they are and that was the reason I didn't want them. Then I asked what accessories came with the camera as the website made no mention of a lack of accessories. He wouldn't answer my question and proceed to ask me which battery I wanted. This is when I asked him if he was running a scam. He never would reply. He continued, very persistently, to ask which battery I wanted. I then told him that if he couldn't answer my question directly I wanted to cancel my order. He responded by saying his company was big enough that he didn't need my order and he would be glad to cancel it. When I asked to speak with his manager he hung up on me. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE FOLKS. "
"This is a SCAM operation. They lure you with low prices; send a mail asking you to contact them. Put you on hold for ever. Then declare that the camera does not come with a battery; they will sell you the battery for $100. Reduce the battery price by $10 every time you protest. When you refuse to buy the battery, they inform you that camera does not come with warranty. When you tell them they are un-professional they abuse you. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!"
"I ordered a Canon A95 from you Dec. 28th when you briefly had it listed for $235. You subsequently sent out an message saying it was out of stock and thus back ordered 6-8 weeks. I checked back at 6 weeks via email, and was told the item was still back ordered. I sent a second email last week asking for the current status, and no one replied. I phoned you today, and the person answering the phone said the order had been cancelled because you couldn't get the item. When I asked why my order was cancelled but I hadn't been informed he switched to saying it was going to be cancelled and then said the product wasn't available anymore and may have been discontinued. When I told him the product is still widely available he said that USA Photo Nation wasn't able to get it for some reason. But when I go to your website it is on sale today for $262. So obviously you can't make money on it at $235 and don't want to sell it to me for that price. But you made the offer (very briefly) and in business you are expected to honor your commitments. So I will be posting this paragraph relating my experience with USA Photo Nation on various online company rating forums so other potential customers will have a chance to learn how you do business. Just thought you'd like to have a chance to assess your internal operations and see if you can prevent this from becoming a common experience.

"Standard approach is to offer cameras at unbelievably low prices. Nobody gets goods without talking to a salesperson unless you buy the higher priced package including expensive batteries, chargers, lens covers or warranties. The merchandise is typically offered in two or more alternative packages. The super low price deal is an international camera (greymarket) sold stripped. The alternative, US warranted product, has the full package of accessories and that price is the same or higher than most other internet resellers. If you decide to order the cheap version advertised on the web site and pick up the accessories elsewhere (and there are a lot of cheaper places to buy any of them) then you find out the camera is out of stock and back ordered. Wait time will be 4-8 weeks (pick a time period designed to frustrate the buyer) but the US warranted and much more expensive package is in stock and can be in your hands in two days. So the patient or stubborn person waits and the delays (see other postings) go on forever.
If you don't mind paying much more than their advertised price you may find these guys work well. I would like to hear from people who were successful in buying cameras at the cheap advertised prices from this retailer. I called and cancelled my order after 15 days."
"Ordered a Canon SD-300 camera. Received email to call sevice department. Called and gave them my credit card CVC number. Seller tried to sell more accessories. I refused, saying the memory and battery come in the box from the manufacturer. At his point I relized I had been "Bait & Switched" and cancelled my order. I have never written a review before, but feel I must warn others. DO NOT USE THIS SELLER."
"Never Buy From Here. They are a classic example of the "Bait and Switch Law", a federal crime. I placed an order of the Olympus E-300 camera from them. After some time I recived an email telling me to ring them up as they had an important information about the product. They then tried to sell me batteries (which I refused) and told me that the camera was a japanese model and more money had to be paid to upgrade it to a U.S. model. This is all a gimmick, I realized and I told the rep. to cancel the order. The order was thankfully cancelled which only goes to say that these guys are just a bunck of crooks who try to bait in customes. The same hold for A&M photoworld, where I had a similar experience. "
"I ordered a Canon a95 from their website as advertised on froogle. The price was $245. They called a week later and said that this was for the Japanese model and that it would cost $329 for the US model. I told them that I didn't want to spend the extra $85 dollars. They said that the Japanese model didn't come with a waranty. I told them that I didn't care. They then told me that the Japanses model was on backorder even though it shows in stock on their website. Customer service was very rude. I cancelled my order. Why would I order online only to end up paying than at bestbuy. "
"BAD BAD BAD!
Was offered options to buy accessories. As soon as they realized I did not want to buy accessories, the order mysteriously became backordered... when they clearly would have fulfilled the order if I chose to purchase the accessories. *Grumble*"
"Same scam as described many, many times by others - basically a 'bait and switch' operation. Got the 'contact us' email, waited for 30 minutes on hold, when I finally talked to the salesman he tried to sell me the battery he claimed didn't come with the camera.
When I commented (several times) that the web site made no mention of the battery not coming with the camera, he told me that I was an uninformed consumer. I immediately told him to cancel the order and hung up. I also sent a strongly worded email to the company warning them not to charge ANYTHING to my card or I would take legal action.
Bad, bad news...
I eventually purchased the same exact camera (yes, it came with a battery!) from Beach Camera. This was an excellent experience - quick service, no BS, etc. I paid just slightly more than the so-called 'deal' from Photo Nation - and I avoided the grief..."
